Description of Work: I called Pro Deck for an estimate. The owner checked out the yard (I wasn't there) and called back the same day with an estimate. He gave me some good information (the old deck would have to be totally removed) and suggestions. I wanted a smaller deck than what he suggested, but he did give me estimates for that size based on the materials used for construction. His estimates were reasonable. After talking at length with another contractor, I decided to have the second contractor build the deck. I called Pro Deck and left a message with the secretary thanking them for the estimates but that I was having someone else do the work. A half hour later Frank called me back and went on and on that if I had a pressure treated deck built that it would look terrible in three years because arsenic is no longer used as a preservative. (I later checked on the internet and never found anything to this effect.) He was very intimidating and I thought it was very unprofessional for him to call me back after I said I had hired another contractor, and tell me that if I had any deck made of pressure treated lumber it would look awful. To me it sounded like sour grapes because I did not hire him.

Pro Deck offers the following services: Remove & Replace - Old Decks, Build new Decks, Screened Rooms. We build Composite decks only. Creative designs. We can, in some cases, re use a customers existing frame and convert the entire deck to composite, providing the superstructure is sound or repairable. We build em' year round!
Ask for details, We have a minimum size requirement of 160 sq.ft. ...Sorry, we DO NOT repair or replace, Guard Rails or Handrails and Steps on decks built by others. We can at times use an existing frame and re build the entire deck with the latest man made materials. We also do not offer any painting or staining for wood decks. We do however, offer any type of repairs necessary to any "Pro Deck" we built no matter the age!
