Description of Work: Installed GENERAC 20kW whole house & automatic transfer switch. They did a fantastic job. They even found and fixed a leak in the gas line that was created when the gas co. installed the larger meter. The installers where very professional, on time and took great care in ensuring it was all installed correctly and safely.

Description of Work: We had them come and quote a whole house generator for our house. After meeting with them and receiving a quote and talking about the system, we had them come out two weeks later and put in a 16 kW system. They had the whole thing installed in about 5 hours or less. Very professional, first class.

 + -1 moreThe installer came by and gave me a quote, which was below another estimate I received from another vendor. He sounded very experienced and said the install would be routine. On installation day, the generator was delivered with a small cosmetic flaw on the outside. The installer came up with a good solution for a skirt and we agreed to continue. The installation went very well, with Bill from Blessed Plumbing doing the natural gas work and Herschel doing the electrical wiring. No problems, the system was tested and the installation took about 5 hours. About 2 weeks later a technician from JD easily installed the plastic skirt around the unit. All work done was extremely professional...everyone knew exactly what to do and how to do it.
Description of Work: Deliver and install an 8kW Generac Generator, connect to home electrical and natural gas system.

 + -1 moreshortly before Hurricane Ike knocked all power out for nearly a week, another company (that was recommended by Angie's List) installed a stand-by generator. These generators "exercise" weekly. Everything was fine for maybe 20 months when I noticed that after exercising it was still making a noise - it wasn't quite running, but it wasn't shut down either. I called the company that installed it and all phones were disconnected so I checked the generator company's website and got the name of JD Power Systems. They were wonderful - over the phone they told me how and where to find the information they needed, then they registered the generator so that they could do the repair under warranty, and then someone came to the house and fixed it. I'm ready for the next storm.
