It went very well. The work was done quickly, and under the estimated price. The guys were extremely friendly- even the subcontracted backhoe operator was super nice. I feel like the guys at Peters really cared about my needs and responded very quickly. The whole process was quite painless.

Phil and Mickey were awesome! They worked as a team and were persistent as they problem-solved my septic system issue. They were very friendly and listened as I explained the steps I had taken prior to their arrival. I called three other plumbing services with no response. Peter's answered right away and promised they would be out to help that same day. I am very pleased with the work these guys did. I got a little break in the cost with my Angie's List discount.

I have recently used this company on 2 different occasions. First was a sump pump that went out. When I called him and explained what it was doing he said he was going to call warranty company and let them know that it needed a new one, and if they asked me to tell them that he was already out there and looked at it. They came out and replaced and it did not shut off for over 12hrs. They did come back "5 days later" after i called them and they stated they repaired it. In the mean time, I had to go down and plug it in and unplug every couple of hours due to the rain. Then i noticed that there was water in my crawl space and sump pump was not coming on. I noticed that the float "switch" to make it come on was set too high. I adjusted that myself and never even bothered with them. About a week later I noticed a leak in my crawl space coming out of the floor. I called the warranty company again and they had me call John Peters Plumbing and Heating again for repair. I called them and explained that the water was coming out of the floor where the water supply lines went up through the wall to the upstairs bath. I also told them that there was a repair done before I purchased the home in the kitchen against that same wall. They came out "after not showing up for the first apt at all" and stated that it was repaired. The next day I had a water spot on my ceiling at the same wall and same place it was repaired before. I then went into crawl space and noticed water leaking out of floor at the same place as before and the repair they did was below the floor "they cut out a piece of copper and replaced with shark bites and pvc" which made no sense to me seeing how the water was and still is leaking from above the floor. I then called peters plumbing back and explained to them and he told me to call the warranty company back and tell them its a diff leak. I explained that i would have to pay another $75 and I didnt think I should have to due to it being the same leak. John told me that they would not cover the leak if it was the same leak. I called the warranty company back and told them that it was the same leak and that the owner wanted me to lie to them about it for some reason and left a message for the supervisor to let them know that he was not being honest. They stated to just have them come out and repair the problem. So I called John back and he sent a guy out to look at it and seen that it was where i said it was. He told me that he needed to get a hold of warranty co and until then he shut the water off going to the upstairs bath. after 4 days i called him and told him that the water shut off my downstairs sink as well and is inconvenient and needed it fixed asap. he told me that he had been trying to call but can not get through to warranty co. He then called me back later and he told me to cut the ceiling out where the leak was and call him back and tell him what was leaking. I did that and 4 days later I called back and he stated again the warranty co. kept putting him on hold and was not open on weekends "which was a lie the warranty co. told me" he got the approval for repair. He asked me to find the problem and tell him so he could bring the correct parts with him. I told him i think he will need 4 copper couplings and two pieces of copper about a ft long. I also stated that I did not want shark bites put on this time due to it being between upstairs floor and ceiling "John stated that he would never do that". He stated that he would be there Monday to do the job. I took off Monday and Tuesday and he never showed up or called. I then called him on tuesday evening and he stated that the guy would be there the next day. Nobody showed up once again so i called back and he acted like he had no idea. He called me back and stated that something happened to the guys house and could not make it until Friday. I got a call from my 12yr old son at 3:45 that he was there. Knowing that my kitchen was going to be unavailable still I stopped and got pizza for the family. When i got home "at around 7pm he stated that he had just finished and not leaking anymore. I looked at it and seen that they used shark bites. When i told him that they were not supposed to use them he called John which stated that it was temporary until Monday when he could talk to warranty co. and see about getting all copper replaced due to being "M style" too thin. Then the plumber left and about 10 minutes into the family eating in the living room my microwave starts sparking and lights flickering. I go to unplug it which is inside the cabinet above and it was flooded with water. After unplugging it i noticed water dripping out of the bottom of microwave. I didnt see an active leak so I asked my 12yr old son that was home at the time of repair if he knew what happened and he stated the plumber had him watch for a leak while he turned the water on and it was spraying inside the cabinets and into the vents of the microwave and all over the ceiling. He also said that he yelled for him to turn if off but it took awhile. After looking, 3 of my cabinets had water resting inside and food was soaked with water, the top of cabinets between my cabinets and ceiling "for decorations" had water still sitting there, and my floor under stove had a puddle there. I called John back and explained that i was very upset that the plumber never even mentioned it or cleaned it up. John stated that it was due to how thin my copper is due to it being M grade copper and the copper keeps splitting from the pressure . I asked plumber to show me the split and he could not show me anywhere and stated that it must have been the coupling that split. I asked him what they was going to do and he stated that i needed to contact my warranty co. again. After talking with my home owners ins. "state farm" I was told to call and get his insurance info. and call them to see what they was going to do. When I called John he refused to give me any info and stated thats not how his ins. co works and he would tell them and they would contact me but they probably wont do anything for me. he stated that it was my son that was supposed to yell if there was a leak. I have now given him 9 days to contact his insurance company and/or contact me to take care of this and have not heard anything yet.

Went very well. They came quickly and called when they left the office. Workers were very polite and kept at the job. They put a chemical in to break up the sludge. When that didn't work they pulled the pump and got the water flowing.

We had a brand new electric furnace, transformer, electric and service box installed to get rid of the gas one so that we could save some money. John Peter didn't seem to know what he was doing. Once the unit was switched, our electric bill doubled. We asked John to come back over and check it out, but he refused. We asked another electrician to come out and he said the ground wires were attached and fastened incorrectly. It was causing a charge in the electrical box. We could have been electrocuted as the way the furnace was wired was very dangerous. The new electrician connected the wires the way they were supposed to bill and then our bills were cut in half.

We contacted Peter's Plumbing through another service provider and Peter's was able to come out the same day we called. They were efficient and took care of the problem. They didn't give us the bill that day, because they wanted us to make sure it would work properly for a month then we would receive a bill.

Peters is very professional- we've used them twice now. My feedback would be to provide an estimate. Both experiences, the plumbers tell us they can't give us a detailed quote, and then we get a bill in the mail weeks later. That makes me feel very uncomfortable.
