This company was hired to clean & inspect a wood burning stove & gas fireplace before purchasing a home. When they cleaned the fireplace they did not put the logs back correctly nor did they replace the embers. They admitted they never inspected part of the chimney up on the roof but they must not of turned the fireplace on or they would have noticed the back burner did not ignite. When I called to ask about the inspection & with questions it took several months of phone calls before someone called me back, who happened to be the owner. She stated I knew nothing about fireplaces & the tech who did the work did not show up today so she couldn't answer my questions and she would get back to me after talking to the tech. She never returned my call again. I finally had to hire a different company to finish the inspection & repair the igniter.

This has been a very stressful experience. We purchased the wood stove from Dave to provide emergency backup heat in the event of a prolonged power outage, as well as for an additional heating option in our log home. The initial installation took two days and was then extended by a week due to accidental damage to the floor base. The stove was dropped and the floor base was badly chipped. The main issue is that this is not our full time residence. I had to arrange another trip down here to facilitate the extended installation schedule. The base was replaced the following week, but as I was doing the conditioning burns, I noticed the door wasn't closing properly, and there is cold air and condensation on and around the inside flue pipe. Don't expect courteous customer service when you call with a problem. Darleen is dismissive and sometimes down right nasty. She did send their guys out and they confirmed that there was an issue with the door, as well as a downdraft issue with the flue. I couldn't arrange another trip down here, so I was forced to give Dave my access codes to the house to facilitate the repair. Dave seems like an honorable man, but it makes me very uncomfortable having people in my home when I'm not there. Dave fixed the door, but has yet to address the down draft problem. I sent them pictures of the condensation on the flue and spoke to him last week. He said he would try to get out here 2/16, but I never heard from him. In spite of the frustration and inconvenience, the wood stove is fantastic. We have to leave the outside door open to get it to draft properly, but once it's going, and the door is closed, it throws a tremendous amount of heat. Dave and his crew are a pleasure to have around and they do an immaculate job of cleaning up after themselves when they leave. Darleen was on site with them for part of an afternoon, and was extremely pleasant and helped me try to figure out an issue with my upstairs fireplace insert. It's difficult to reconcile and navigate the different aspects of her personality. In person she seems very nice, on the phone if you have a problem, it's a different story. I am not happy that they will again need to be in my home while I'm gone to finally finish up this install. The only question is when...
