+ -1 moreWe have had leaky roof issues after previous roofing jobs and "repairs" by multiple companies in our area. Carl T. Johnson's people quickly found the prior installation problems within a day of our call. They scheduled us as soon as possible and worked to re-install the roof, vents and seals correctly. The crew worked quickly, efficiently and professionally. They were conscientious about clean-up. They demonstrated care about the homeowner's needs and history with other roofers. The B in punctuality may be unfair. There were circumstances out of their control that delayed the start of work.
Description of Work: Replacement of top portion of gambrel roof.

Description of Work: We had a leak in a skylight on the roof. The company representative came out and looked at the skylight and observed that the seal in the casing was leaking. He indicated that it needed caulking. He brought the caulk, but did not bring a caulking gun. I mentioned that I also needed some additional gutters installed on my garage/barn. He said he would work me up an estimate and come out and caulk the skylight. I called twice over a 2 week period of time when I did not hear from him, but he did not return my calls. I finally got another person after a few puddles in my bathroom. Perhaps my job was too small for the company, but from previous comments on the list, it was my understanding that they did this type of work. I can't comment on the company's work since none was performed. However, any good worker knows that you need to bring the proper tools to the job site before you start to work.

+ -1 moreThe owner of the company came out on Friday to evaluate the situation and said he could have someone do the work the next day. The roofer, JR, came right on time Saturday morning, but the roof was still covered in frost, as it was about 10 degrees that day! He said he would return at 11, giving the roof time to thaw, and again he arrived right at 11. He immediately hit the roof, brought down the faulty shingles, showed us what had happened, explained why, then proceeded to fix the problem. JR was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and skilled at what he does. We were delighted to have the problem fixed before the real snow started to fall!
Description of Work: We had some shingles on the steep part of the roof that had slipped out of place. These needed to be replaced before the worst of winter hit. We requested that the shingles be either replaced or put back in place if they were still serviceable, and also to check the roof for other potential shingle issues.
