I had a great experience with this company and I highly recommend them. About a year ago we noticed our carpet was getting wet in one spot anytime there was a heavy rain. It was always in one spot below a window in our lower level. We determined it wasn't the simplest solutions (gutters, grading, etc.). We figured it was an issue with the foundation. A while ago we called a company but they were only interested in selling us a very expensive waterproofing system for several thousand dollars. We didn't think that was necessary so we held off. I found this company and noticed they had very good reviews on Angie's List and Google. I explained everything to Jason and he assumed it was a foundation crack. He cut a piece of drywall out to expose the foundation and sure enough, there was a crack and there were stains showing water was getting in. We scheduled the repair for the next week. As he cut more drywall out, he found a couple of other holes where water was coming in! He needed to leave to get more supplies to fix those. This made his job take a bit longer than expected. He was done though in a half day. He didn't charge for those extra things he fixed. Jason was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained everything well and I would highly recommend him.

I chose Healthy Basement Concepts to have a full interior drainage system and sump pump installed. I had started to finish my basement when we developed water leaking in from the perimeter and through cracks in the floor. I decided to have the problem taken care of before I finished the rest of the basement. I got a couple of quotes from other companies, but decided to go with Jason and Healthy Basement Concepts. I was impressed Jason's thoroughness and pride he took in his business. I also felt that the Grate drainage system and sump pumps were superior to the products used by other companies. It recently rained a lot the last few days and the basement stayed nice and dry. The sump pump had no problems removing the accumulating water and I couldn't believe how quiet it was. Jason went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with the installation, product, and clean up. I am confident the system will keep the basement dry for many years.

Jason was professional in both our meetings. His initial visit out to the house was after-hours and convenient for my wife and me. He thoroughly explained multiple options for a crack in our foundation wall. We chose a carbon fiber reinforcement and thermal shield application which included excavation to the footer ensuring proper drainage beneath the slab. We ultimately chose to go with Jason and Healthy Basement Concepts (after presented with quotes from other companies) in that we have a finished basement and intend to 'refinish' now that the crack has been repaired. Jason offers a lifetime warranty (also transferable) that no leaks will occur at the site of repair. This was a great peace of mind for us as the crack will no longer be exposed post remodel. Would highly recommend Jason for your project. He's not only a professional in his trade but a person of high integrity and honesty and truly sees the value in doing the right thing and not cutting corners.

Our experience with this company was great from start to finish. This was the fourth company we had come out to give us an estimate and explain how to fix our problem. The owner, Jason, came out and explained how he thought the problem should be fixed and that they offered a lifetime warranty on their work. He was very professional, knowledgeable and offered to answer all our questions. He gave us an oral estimate of the work to be done and followed up that evening with a written contract. Also, he reminded us that as Angie's List members we would receive a 10% discount and if we signed and sent back our contract within 48 hours we would receive an additional 5% off so we scheduled the work to be done. On the day the work was scheduled to be done, Jason himself came to do the work. He put down cloth tarps from the front door to the corner of the basement where the work was to be done and put up drop cloths to keep the cement dust from spreading to other parts of our home. When the job was done, he carefully removed the drop cloths and the cloth tarps and used a wet/dry vac to clean up any debris left behind all the way to our front door. Then he did a final walk through with us to make sure we were satisfied with his work and to answer and final questions. Ten days after our job was done, we received a card in the mail thanking us for our business and inviting us to call with any questions or concerns. We are so glad we waited to hire someone until this company came along because, as I've already said, our experience with this company was great from start to finish.

The owner did most of the work. Jason Fry is one of the most professional business people I have ever dealt with. Very good. He explained everything and even gave us ideas on other issues we are dealing with. The price was fair and he even had to upgrade a few items at no extra cost. I would recommend Jason and his company for ANY work to anyone. He should get an A+ if one was available.

Jason is an EXPERT in basements. He took his time to make sure we would have the write product that would fix our foundation problems for EVER. We had almost everyone in the entire Cincinnati area who works on basements to evaluate our home. Jason was by far the most professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend!!!

Jason is both the owner and the foreman of HBC. It is apparent that he is very good at what he does. On the first day, he and his associate spent several hours just to cover our basement belongings in plastic to control dust. Jason did the jackhammering himself to open our basement floor. When there was something in the way that really shouldn't be moved (i.e., a hot water tank), he hand dug a tunnel under the surface concrete. In all, the interior portion of the project took 3 full days, during which he was personally present to do most of the technical and hard work himself. The 4th day comprised exterior grading, downspout extension, two simple window wells, and general clean-up. His team wiped down everything in detail, including the walls. Jason even gone above and beyond what our original contract stated by putting up finishing wall covers in areas he suspects of potential leakage so that any water comes through gets directly channeled to the drainage system. He also tore out the old pipes of our sump pump, which looked like a DIY setup, replaced them with a setup that looks far more professional and orderly along with a dual sump pit system while using our original equipment. All in all, Jason Fry and Healthy Basement Concepts provide a great service, expert installation, at exceptionally reasonable prices. He is also just generally a very nice guy and works very hard to make sure that every project is being done as though it's for his own house. If you're going to spend close to $10,000 on a major basement project, trust Jason and his team to get the best quality and value.

Can I give a couple categories an A+, because Jason deserves it. We've been in our house about a year and have had 4 floods, we knew we needed to do something and I began to interview waterproofing companies. I can't tell you how many I went through, prior to Jason coming I had my mind made up, but wanted to keep his appointment "just in case". How sorry would I be if I had canceled it!!!! He was so thorough, taking everything into account and I just knew he was going to do the most complete job. We started the job on 6/27 and the very first thing that happened was the covering of all of our personal belongings in the basement. I don't mean just a simple sheet or plastic thrown over them that can fall off, but plastic sheeting taped to keep the dust and debris off of them as well as sheeting over the entry to the bottom of our basement steps. Each morning I received either a call or a text from Jason letting me know that the team was on the way and who to expect and when. The job finished on 6/29 and this is when you really see what sets Jason apart from other contractors and how he goes way, way above and beyond. When I went down for final inspection with Jason the floor was swept and mopped, all of the plastic draping was gone and anything that had gotten dust on it was wiped down. Jason went over everything with us regarding the system and answered any and all questions we had and even if it wasn't a part of the warranty I know would be available for problems in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend Jason to anyone and if we were to purchase another home in the future without a sump pump I know exactly who to call.

My husband and I purchased a new home with a crawl space and we knew that we we're going to have to make an investment right away after purchasing to get it encapsulated. Jason was able to come to the house during our inspection period to look at the crawl space and let us know what we would be getting into. Jason was thorough and took the time to explain everything related to the job. We did our research and ultimately chose Healthy Basement Concepts for the work. Jason performed all of the work himself and took the necessary time to do it right. Jason was very professional. He gave me every option available and allowed me to choose the best one that fit my needs. He did great work and everything was exactly how he described. Jason was very considerate of personal property and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. He would have received all A's except that he didn't tell me that he was showing up until 9am after we had discussed 7:30am which wouldn't have been an issue if I lived there, but I had to travel 20 miles in rush hour traffic to get there, but his overall work completely overshadows this. I would recommend and use him again.

Jason hauled 55 buckets (2 1/2 tons) of gravel to level and elevate the dirt floor, then added dimple shield, insulation, and crawl shield to the floor, and crawl shield and insulation to the walls and band joist area. The 28% humidity difference between the crawl space and basement vanished, and the entire house seems dryer and warmer. Jason devoted the time and the effort required to do an excellent job. We are very satisfied with the finished product.

Jason did an excellent job, when scheduled and was a pleasure to deal with. Pricing was very competitive and the customer service exceeded our expectations. Good customer service and workmanship is hard to fine these days, but Jason Fry and HBC of Cincinnati is the exception. We would highly recommend Jason and HBC for any basement issues and believe you will not be disappointed.

Jason was wonderful to work with. From coming out for the quote to following up after the job was complete, he was timely, professional and detailed. Very responsive a honest throughout the whole process of getting a quote. Once we decided to move forward with Jason, he was there the very next day and on time. Since I was at work during the time of installation, he sent me photos throughout the day of the progress! He protected the flooring and walls from the entrance of the house to the work area and left the house looking exactly how it was when he arrived. Jason is extremely professional and does amazing work. My husband and I will 100% use him again for future needs.

Great! Jason fixed our water leak problems by fixing the structure cracks in the foundation by supporting the wall with carbon fiber. He was very professional and detailed in his work / clean up. In addition, Jason replaced our 10 year old sump pump with a double sump pump system with a battery back up and sump alarm. He added new clear sight glass check values and they are so quiet! We can definitely sleep better at night knowing our basement will be dry. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Healthy Basement Concepts!
