The companies' crew were punctual, professional and extremely diligent. The times I checked in the organization in which they managed the project was noticeable in their very structured approach to the project. In total, the crew trenched out and placed a drainage system around the entire basement, installed sumps with alarm systems, vapor barriers and adjustable wall beams to solidify the wall. We felt they even went above and beyond in structuring the drainage for the appliances and sink. The garage had a history of flooding with a sloped driveway and poor drainage so a grate system across the front of the across led into a new sump that drained the water out to a line trenched out in front allow the water to trail into the storm drain at the corner of the street. Also, in the garage, five carbon fiber strips were chemically welded to reinforce the garage walls. Healthy Basement Solutions communicated very effectively, held to schedule and the quality of the work is outstanding. One of the sumps had a faulty switch and it was inspected and addressed immediately even at the beginning of a holiday weekend. Night and day is an understatement as to how the basement and garage present themselves now. What was once an ongoing battle with leakage or flooding, mold build up and continual dampness has been replaced with two dry functional areas of the house. The stress of managing the water issues has ceased and the warranties provided bring relief that battling mother nature has ended. I would highly recommend this company for any basement/water solution you may be facing.

We had the pleasure of having Jason and his crew install Rhino carbon fiber strips to stabilize our foundation walls and also repair cracks in our foundation. We had a couple of quotes, but Jason was the most professional, as well as, very personable and easy to talk with. We spent an hour going over what the foundation engineer recommended. He answered all my questions and explained things thoroughly. John, the foreman, was outstanding, hardworking, professional, and wanted to do a good job. He, too, answered all my questions and ensured that the work was completed to our satisfaction. Jason offers a lifetime warranty, and his warranty is transferable to the next homeowner. We had a wet crawl space with some rotting joists. Jason encapsulated the 2500 sq ft space, added a second sump pump, a dehumidifier, and a back-up battery. The house is no longer rotting away beneath us. Jason did a fabulous job and is a real quality individual. With his maintenance plan, all the mechanicals have their warranties extended. So we're dry and protected in the future. Jason and his company are among the best in this industry and we're lucky to have him in our hometown area. Thanks Jason.

I always find three Angie's List companies to quote any major home project. Jason was by far the most professional, and very personable and easy to speak with. We had some unique challenges with our home's basement, and Jason provided the best creative suggestions. He also provided us with several different options so we could weigh the one that best fit our budget while ensuring our basement was the most protected from water. In the end, we elected to do the complete drainage system with new sump pump and backup sump because we knew it would be done right and be done professionally. And that's exactly what we got. The other companies I contacted provided lower cost quotes, but through research I confirmed they quoted inferior products and systems that would not stand the test of time. Jason offers lifetime warranty, as does his Grate Products manufacturer. Spend the little extra money and buy yourself the right kind of piece of mind...

We looked at 3 companies and Healthy Basement Concepts was much above the other 2. We needed a lot of work done on my mother-in-law's crawl space in the house she just moved into. Jayson's knowledge and experience was great. We needed a lot of work to get this crawl space right. Jayson explained everything and came up with a really fair price. Jayson was very straight forward and professional yet easy to talk to and discuss our options. The foreman, John, was very good, hard working, professional, and really wanted a good job done for my mother-in-law. John's team of workers were also very good and pleasant. Would hire them again in a heart-beat.

Jason responded quickly to the quote request and provided a very competitive quote with great detail on the work they would perform for the price quoted. He set up the job quickly and they ended up getting to our work a couple of days earlier than projected. They showed up at the time they told us both days and finished the job in less than the full 2 days expected. After the first day, Jason left left lighting in the crawl space to plug in and check out the work they had done the first day if i wanted. I did and was fully satisfied with the grading and gravel work they did. They completed the job the next morning and he answered all questions i had and billed the exact cost quoted. The system they installed is working great. I would recommend Jason and his team at Healthy Basement Concepts and call them again for any future work.

Jason came out and took a look at my crawlspace personally and then spent some time discussing options. We came up with the best option for our house and he worked with us on timing to get it done quickly and correctly. Jason and his team were on time and set up runners to keep the house clean as they made their way to / from the basement. The project went as planned and I am very happy with the results. They had to come out a few times to tinker with some things but Jason was always available via phone for questions/updates. He followed through on all he said he would do. The project went very well and Jason kept me informed throughout the project and he even worked with My plumbers to fix my sewer drain. I wil definitely recommend him to anyone who ask. He and his crew worked in the dead of winter to get my foundation fixed and they were always on time and professional. Jason fixed my 90 year old house foundation that had been declining for a very long time

Jason did a wonderful job! He saw what was going on and gave me his recommendations and options. I ended up doing the drainage system with 2 sump pumps (1 as a battery operated backup), and waterproofing the walls. He explained everything he was going to do and it was accomplished in a timely manner. He well exceeded my expectations!

Due to issues caused by early 2018 spring flooding and the replacement of a dead sump-pump, I found myself in need of finding better ways to keep my crawlspace dry. I had an idea of what I was looking for and ended up contacting 3 companies. After meeting with all 3, and reviewing the estimates, I went with Jason from Healthy Basement Concepts and am very glad I did. Reasons include: 1. When I placed my initial call to the 3 companies, HBC was the most pleasant and provided the most information. When I said I was getting several estimates, she even said that was a good idea and something they would recommend. When I contacted one of the other companies they asked my marital status and said they wanted all homeowners to be there for the estimate. 2. Jason from HBC was the only one who actually went down into my crawlspace, looked around, and came out to tell me what he was seeing. The other two did nothing more than remove the board from the entrance to the crawlspace and glance around. (That didn’t give me a warm feeling about either of them.) 3. Jason explained things in a way that made sense to me. He really seemed to want to make sure I understood what he had seen as my options. I felt the owner of one of the other companies rude and unprofessional in the way he interacted with me. 4. Jason was the only one who didn’t begin with the most expensive option. The other two began by wanting to dig out around the entire foundation of my house, involving breaking up my front porch, the concrete slab my HVAC unit is on, and moving the HVAC system itself. One of them said my HVAC company could come out, disconnect and move the HVAC system, then come back another day to put it back. (They estimated that would cost me about $500.) 5. Jason was the only who I felt really listened to me and what I was trying to accomplish. He provided me with 5 options, each building off of a prior one; the first option being what I was wanting. He discussed with me the fact that if that ended up not completely providing what I’m looking for, we could move on to the second option. The other two didn’t offer anything like that. 6. Jason had the best price based on the estimated work. 7. Jason was able to get the work done around a week after I accepted his estimate. One of the others said 50-60 days and the other said sometime in January. 8. Jason required no money up front. The company that said they’d be able to do it in January wanted 20% once I signed the contract. (And the signing of the contract was needed to get the January date.) 9. Jason and his crew arrived on time, and the work was done in half a day. He and his crew were polite and didn’t leave a mess in the yard. He even gave me some ideas for improving the grading around my house.

Jason was very professional, prompt, and was willing to make it as affordable as possible. He even came back to spray for mold again to make sure everything was gone. Since he put in a sump pump and drainage system in the basement of my house there hasn't been a drop of water and the humidity has dropped from 50-60% to 30%. I would highly recommend him for your basement needs.

After 15+ years of dealing with the huge temperature variations throughout my house I finally decided to look at insulating/encapsulating our crawl space. I had 3 different companies come out to look at my situation. Healthy Basement Concepts was not only less expensive overall, but explained why I did not need the drain tile the other guys said "was all part of the package" or "as long as were down there it couldn't hurt" (other than the $2k+ it added to the cost). Healthy Basement Concepts ended up approx. 30% cheaper than my other two estimates. Jason (owner) told me that they would be here at 8:00am on a Monday to get started and it would take them 2-2.5 days to complete. They were in the driveway at 7:58am Monday to get started and were finished in 1.5 days. Exceeding my expectations based on dealing with contractors in the past. Jason and his crew were friendly and professional and left the house cleaner than they found it. The end results have made a HUGE difference in my home. Prior to having the work done I used a thermometer to take temperature readings throughout my house for a couple days and did the same after, the results speak for themselves: Prior to Encapsulating: Thermostat set to 71*: 1st Floor (on coffee table) - 71*, 1st Floor (on floor) - 66*, Master Bedroom - 79*, Spare Bedroom - 77* After Encapsulating: Thermostat set to 71*: 1st Floor (on coffee table) - 71*, 1st Floor (on floor) - 70*, Master Bedroom - 72*, Spare Bedroom - 72* The difference has been so drastic that the first evening the project was done I went and checked to make sure I didn't blow a breaker because it was 22* outside and the heat was not running. It was 71* in the house but I simply was not use to the heat not running constantly when the outside temp was below freezing. I could not be happier with the end result and the overall experience working with Healthy Basement Concepts.

Jason was quick to respond and schedule a consultation. He came on a Saturday and was dressed professionally and was prepared. He brought in samples of his products and explained everything in detail. He left a written quote with all necessary information. After considering the initial estimate, I decided it was out of my price range. I asked Jason if he could trim it back a little and he was able to do it. Work was scheduled and completed on time. Kason stayed in contact with all changes and showed up early each day. Job was actually finished a half day early. Would use them again.

They were always on time, very thorough, and they kept things very clean considering the job. Jason was very easy to work with, answering any questions we had, and he also provided us with different options for the repair.

I highly recommend Jason and his team. Since we bought our home, we have had numerous companies in our home for all sorts of different repairs; I can honestly say that his company is the best that we have dealt with. Excellent communication, very punctual, professional, great at cleaning up after themselves, trustworthy, and competitively priced. At every stage he made sure that we knew exactly what to expect and he was always willing/available to answer questions and concerns.

They were very professional, they came out within days for the estimate and did the most thorough assessment of the situation and came back with the best price to fix it. When they came to do the work they were on time, professional, and kept the work space clean. The owner of the company was on site doing the work himself and upgraded the battery back up that we originally contracted for without charge because he seems genuinely concerned that the basement remains dry during the warranty period which is the life of the home (transferable to a new buyer). I would reccomend them to a friend without hesitation.

Jason came to the house in order to give me an estimate to repair cracks in the foundation. While he was in the crawl space, he noticed an air conditioning vent pipe had fallen. He put it back in place while he was there even though it had nothing to do with the estimate. He could have just mentioned it and left it to me, but instead he repaired it. On the day the repair work was scheduled, Jason and his crew arrived exactly at the time scheduled. In preparation for the work, they laid down tarps on the floors in the main house going from the basement to the garage in order to keep dust and dirt from collecting in the living area. While Jason and his crew were here I added a couple of items and he took care of them at a very reasonable price. He could have taken advantage and charged a lot for the additional work, but he kept it very fair. The work was completed as promised and the work areas were cleaned up after completion. I expected and lot of dust and rubble throughout the house and was thrilled with how clean it was when the crew left. I would use Healthy Basement Concepts again in the future, if the need arose.

My expierence was very pleasant. Jason (manager) was very nice to work with and helped us figure out what was best for us to fix our wall. He even went the extra mile to recommend other items that we could benefit from in the long run. He was very helpful and if we need any other services for our basement/waterproofing, I know who to turn to.

Jason and I clicked from the very beginning. I knew he was the one for the job. He listened to my needs and suggestions and presented me with his ideas and knowledge as well. I never felt undermined with him. He always took my perspective into account and explained his reasoning if he felt it should be done differently. My job was the first of its kind he’d performed as far as an outside pit and pump and it turned out perfect. We wanted this to save a boatload of money avoiding tearing up inside walls and foundation. I showed him a video of this that was done in another state and he did it better than I’d asked. Price never changed and he worked his butt off, carrying bucket after bucket of concrete up and down stairs and around the yard, and jack hammering, among other things. He was prepared and pleasant. I am very proud to say he’s my go to guy for any job he specializes in. It took me so long to post this because my autistic epileptic son was going through some tough times but things are getting better now. We also connected because he has a son with autism too.

We two leaks in a basement wall, one minor leak from a crack, and a major leak from a filled-in coal chute that had become.worse after some re-grading appears to have broken the seal on the cement cap on the chute. The big leak was causing a corner of the basement to flood. Jason came out and looked at the issue and determined the best way to deal with it was to install a sump pump and barrier over the affected portion of the wall to direct the water to the pump. We had just put the house on the market and wanted the work done ASAP. Jason was willing to work with the timeline and promised to do the work the next Friday or Saturday. On Wednesday, he called to say the would like to start on Thursday afternoon, which was great with me. I had to remove a bunch of home-made shelving in a storeroom along the wall. I had not gotten it quite all done when they came Thursday. Jason very kindly helped out with the last bit with a crow bar, a reciprocating saw and some muscle. They put up plastic as a dust barrier and turned off the blower fan to keep dust from circulating into our market ready house. They dug out a 17' trench in the floor. The next day, they came at 9 am. Jason had originally said 8:00, but he called before 8 to say they had to pick up some gravel first. They put a layer of gravel in the trench and put up the barrier on the wall. They had to move an old alarm system box and outlet mounted on the wall and re-wire a few things to power the sump pump. In putting up the barrier, they also had to work it behind the end plate of the storeroom wall, which was between the two cracks. They installed the sump pump, filled in the trench with concrete and connected the pump outlet to a drain pipe outside at the bottom of a downspout at the corner of the house. I was very impressed with the work. The barrier is strong and looks good. The cement work is smooth. The sump system includes a large well to handle a large flow of water, with room for a second pump and/or battery backup. There are two cleanout/inspection covers at either end of the trench. I had to have Jason out 2 more times because we continued to get a smaller amount of water in a corner down from the sump pump. The second trip extended the trench and barrier an additional 12' but we were afraid the problem might actually be coming from behind a built-in storage closet. After water continued to leak in, I tore out the closet and found a floor-to-ceiling crack in the wall. Jason repaired the crack and extended the trench and barrier again. Some people thought Jason should have been able to find the source of all leaks on the first inspection, but that would have impossible because of the closet. I was very happy with Jason's professionalism and cleanliness as well as with the work performed.

Jason and his team were great. Initially when Jason came out, he was very thorough in investigating the issue and explaining the options we had. We ultimately chose do to do a full basement waterproofing including walls to make sure we had no problems in the future. We felt that the products used (did research to find other companies across the US using these products who have similar positive reviews) were superior to other companies. We had at least 5 companies come look at our problem and HBC had a good approach with excellent products. Would definitely recommend Jason and his team.

Jason got back to me later that day on my first phone call, all other communication was within 24 hours of calls. He was able to fit me in within a week. He was also able to fix the crack without taking out the drywall because of a gap between the foundation and the drywall, it wasn't ideal for him but he did it to save us money from a drywall repair. He did all work himself and it took about 4 hours. Floors were protected and the area tarped off to contain dust. Everything was cleaned up afterwards to the point that you wouldn't even know something had been done. A very indepth explanation was given as to what was done both before and after the job. I would definately recommend him.

These guys worked SO hard. They showed up when they said they would and worked until the job was done in spite of a couple of unexpected issues that came up. It was expensive, but the guarantee backing it up made all the difference. All the work was done by hand in spite of the limited clearance in the crawl space and were very careful and respectful of the property both inside and out. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I was very happy with the service Healthy Basement Concepts provided. Jason was very patient and came out to meet me on two separate occasions to help me be sure about the job and clear about what would happen. He was on site every day right in the middle of the work. His crew was on time, very knowledgeable and worked very hard to get the job done. They were conscientious and did their best to tent off the unaffected area to try to keep the dust to a minimum. They were also very nice and worked with me to coordinate other contractors around them for some plumbing that needed to be moved in the same area. I definitely would recommend this company for basement waterproofing needs.
