US HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

Matthew, US Heating technician, said he replaced the thermostat this time after his previous visit to repair the furnace and said it was the flame sensor; and replaced that. After both repair visits and installations of furnace parts, I have been called and told the furnace is NOT working. Both times I've been told the furnace has been repaired, inspected in all other areas, and nothing else is wrong. Also, do not know why the below message comes up when US Heating & Air Conditioning is typed in to write the complaint/review!

Furnace at rental would kick off and not restart - When contacted US Heating for their inspection/repairs appointment I suggested the problem might be the thermostat based on tenants observation. Matthew, the US Heating technician, arrived for repairs around 3:30 and called me around 4:00 stating it was the flame sensor not getting a good signal and all else with the furnace looked good and took my credit card information to charge the $288.00 for the service as the furnace was supposed to be repaired. At 7:30PM that same evening, tenant called again and said the furnace was NOT working again. I called U.S. Heating and spoke with Lisa and told her the furnace was not working and asked the technician to come out again as it was only 20 degrees out and tenant said house was cold. The next U.S. Heating technician called me at 11:42PM stating the thermostat was the problem and the cost of the thermostat would be $244.00 - but he was able to get the furnace running again. I told the technician I would have the furnace checked again at a later date since it was running again. I did not want any U.S. Heating & Air Conditioning technician working on the furnace again! I do not feel the $288.00 charge is legitimate since the furnace was not repaired as it stopped working a few hours after just being told by Matthew that it was repaired with a flame sensor and all else with the furnace was good - only to be told a few hours later by another U.S. Heating technician that the thermostat was the problem. Also, I do not understand why this company's name does not show as being on Angie's List as it appears in the Angie's List Monthly "HELP A Survival Guide to life's Emergencies" edition (page A27) and that is how I got the name as being a "trusted" company. Who can the consumers trust!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their service is very good. They are very professional. I?ve never had any problems with them. If they are going to be late, they always call and tell you.

I called first thing in the morning stating I was having an issue with my furnace where it seemed it was only half working. They were able to send someone out around noon the same day. The technician was Matthew and he did an excellent job diagnosing the issue, it was a corroded flame sensor. He chemically cleaned it. I went ahead and paid for their annual maintenance plan for the year so he also did a tune up of the furnace and someone will return in the spring to inspect the air conditioner. I paid 340.00 for a couple hours of work, so price was a bit high, but I'm assuming that's partially because they came so quickly. They also overcharged me by 20.00 for the Dispath fee. After I noticed, I called and they didn't hesitate to refund me the $20.00. Anyways, all in all they seem thorough and professional and will be my HVAC company going forward.

We have two air conditioners and two heaters and they charge $200 a year for the agreement. Service is part of the agreement and then if you need something done or need parts, you get 10% off on everything that they do. We have been with them for twenty years. They have put in a new furnace and three air conditioners for us. They are a very good company. They base their whole operation on good customer service and they have always been very responsive to our needs. We had a water leak over something that they had done incorrectly and they came out right out and repaired it immediately, their insurance paid for everything that we had to have done, and they came out and double-checked to make sure that everything had been done properly. They are always on top of everything and they will call me to make sure that everything is going okay. I called one time on the 4th of July with an urgent call, our air conditioner had gone out, it was hot and humid, and a guy was out here within an hour. He got it fixed within a half an hour and went home. I have had a lot of good experiences with them. I would say that they are fairly priced, probably average.

The repairman, Randy, was great! He is very friendly and professional. It took multiple visits to complete the repair because when he initially looked at the problem it was late on a Friday afternoon, and he didn't have the part he needed on his truck. He needed to replace the coil which had apparently developed a leak during the winter. After he came back the next week with the coil and installed it, it rained before he could finish checking the pressure or add the coolant. He couldn't access the outdoor condenser to finish up in the pouring rain. He came back on another day and was able to finish the repair. He did a thorough job, and the air conditioner is working well now. The schedulers at US Heating and Air Conditioning were very responsive in scheduling the multiple appointments needed for this repair and making sure the same repairman, who knew the situation, came each time. I have had a service contract with this company for heating and cooling tune-ups and repairs for several years and have been very satisfied with their service.

Our air conditioner went out ( the temperature was in the 80/90's) and we called US Heating and Air Conditioning, a company that my parents had used for years. They sent someone out immediately to look at it. Even though the unit was 13 years old, there was no pressure to replace it and he was able to replace/ repair some parts and get it running (which it still is!) In addition, it was pouring down rain when he was working on it, it was the end of the work week and he continued until the job was completed! Eventually, we will have to replace the system and will for sure have them do the work!

Ron arrived at 10:50. Agreed the blower motor was bad. He also noticed a crack in our pipe. He gave us an estimate that was exactly what Deb said it would be earlier. He had a hard time getting the old blower motor removed. I was really glad I decided to have him do it. Once it was removed he installed the new blower. He did not have the pipe needed, but did put some aluminum tape on the really bad spots. Overall, very satisfied. In addition, they will discount the cost of this service on a new unit if we decide to get a new one after the come review our needs. Ron is going to have the appropriate person contact us.

They do a good job. I keep the maintenance contract up every year.

We were leery because a lot of air conditioning places don't seem to be very reputable so my husband sat out there out from start to finish and watched what the guy did. The guy explained everything to him and what he was doing and why he was doing it, which was nice. He found what was wrong with the air conditioner and fixed it. We mostly paid for labor because he had to take the whole thing apart. The price was fair for what he did. He just fixed what needed to be fixed and didn't try to sell us a new air conditioner or that kind of stuff.

We have a maintenance contract with them, they come out every 6 months.

I continue to have good service with this company and I am happy with the customer care I am receiving. I will continue to use this company in the future.

Everything has gone very well. I appreciate that they do not charge extra for emergency service. I have been happy with all of their work, and will continue to use them.

They have always been great. We have a service contract with them and they come two times a year. The last time they came to our house was in early spring. They usually come out right before it’s time to use the air conditioners. We would be calling them either in this month or in the next month to check the furnace and the rest of the things. We pay them on a yearly basis. You also get a discount if you want any work to be done. The young men who come in to get the work done are always very polite, kind and professional. They have been very forthcoming when there was something which we could take care easily such as changing filters. They have been very good about things which we could wait on or something that we needed to get done right away. They were very prompt and took care of the problem that we had. They also gave us a good discount, so that we could purchase the system from them instead of going elsewhere. They have been very good to us. They also call to remind you when it’s time to schedule for the next service.

told me nothing was wrong with my a/c, although the house was 78 degrees. It was a Friday afternoon, and the technician clearly wanted to be done. Although he did suggest replacing the entire system, which was only 7 years old.

I had many problems with this company in the past, and then when I hired another company to clean my air ducts, they showed me that the air filter US Heating had installed was completely wrong for the system. It was kind of the nail on the coffin, and I am now looking for a new heating and cooling contractor.

They are always very responsive, prompt and do a good job.

They were quick, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Their price was reasonable and I even joined there maintenance problem.

After I looked at possible new heating and cooling systems and received estimates, I chose what I considered a fairly high end heating and cooling system made by Carrier to replace my previous aging system which had had a major breakdown. What sold me on this system was that it was supposed to be reliable but very quiet. The person providing the estimate, and then later the installers, came just when they said they would. The installers spent the better part of a day installing the system. It was all installed and operational by the end of the day, and the installers did a very good job of cleaning up and leaving everything neat when they left. Everyone involved was polite and professional.

They were very responsive, good quality work. We have a maintenance agreement with them. They show up quickly when we need them.

They are just great! They answer all questions for you!

Our furnace went out 2/14 and they came out that morning and gave us a couple options. I was not home and the technician explained everything to me over the phone after speaking with my husband. We decided to replace the unit. They did the work that day. Replaced the thermometer for free after the work was completed. They went out of their way to find a part that was not included in the kit, they went above and beyond. I would use them again.

A workman was at our house within a couple of hours of our furnace breaking down. When we realized we would need a new one, the owner, Jerry Bishop, came out to the house himself and reviewed with us our options. Jerry was knowledgeable, heard, and addressed our concerns. We ordered the new furnace, complete with a humidifier and allergy filter, as well as having our ductwork cleaned. We were able to have the new furnace installed the next day. The company stayed in contact with us throughout the process, letting us know when to expect the crew and if they were delayed. We had several workmen in the house the day of the installation; they were very clean, respectful of our property, and hard workers. They returned a few days later to clean our ducts; again, very clean, thorough, explained everything, and we really appreciated all the crew did to respect our home by putting down drop clothes, wearing shoe protectors, and moving things very carefully. Great experience!

Explains up front what is to be cleaned and inspected. Gave advise as to how to make the unit more efficient. Upon completion reviewed the results.
