Description of Work: I called to schedule an appointment to have my recently broken air conditioner looked at. My wife was on the verge of giving birth, it was the end of August, and the air conditioner functioning was an absolute necessity. | |US Heating & Air Conditioning was able to have a technician out to my house just a few hours after my initial call. The gentleman was quickly able to diagnose the problem and replace the part in question(an expensive part at that, but what can you do?). BAM air conditioning working. | |Couldn't be happier. Air conditioning is not a cheap hobby, but you sure feel its absence when it all goes poof one day.

+ -1 moreTHEY CAME BACK AND TOLD ME THEY REPLACED THE WRONG PART AND THEY KNEW BECAUSE THEY TESTED IT. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES I HELPED HIM DISCOVER WHAT WAS WRONG. I WENT OUTSIDE TO LISTEN TO THE AIRFLOW AND I CAME BACK IN AND TOLD HIM IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GURGLING WATER. HE SAID THERE IS WATER IN THE PIPE. HE CUT MY PIPE AND DRAINED IT WHICH TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES. HE DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO SEAL MY PIPE BACK UP WITH. HE SAID HE HAD TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER GUY TO FINISH ANOTHER JOB SO THAT GUY COULD COME TO MY HOUSE. THE SECOND GUY CAME AND THEY SEALED THE PIPE WHICH TOOK ONLY A FEW MINUTES. THEY TOLD ME SOMEONE WOULD BE CONTACTING ME ABOUT A REFUND. I NEEDED TO HAVE MY PIPE REPLACED. THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME BACK THE MONEY FOR THE PART THAT I PAID FOR THAT WASN'T BROKEN AND THE PART PICK-UP FEE.
Description of Work: THEY CAME OUT TO MY HOUSE ON DECEMBER 16TH BECAUSE MY FURNACE WASN'T WORKING RIGHT. THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW PRESSURE SWITCH REPLACED BUT IT HAD TO BE ORDERED. I PAID FOR THE PART AT THAT TIME. THE TECHNICIAN RETURNED ON 12/18 AND REPLACED PART BUT AFTER TESTING DISCOVERED OLD PART WAS OKAY.

+ -1 moreTHIS COMPANY STARTED OUT WITH NICE AND CORDIAL SERVICEMEN WHO DID NOT PRESSURE. OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS THE SERVICE HAS DETERIORATED.
Description of Work: WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR OVER 4 YEARS AND HAVE OVER THIS TIME BECOME INCREASINGLY FRUSTRATED WITH THE SERVICE. WE HAVE SIGNED ON (AT $139) FOR 'HOMEOWNER PROTECTION PLAN', ONLY TO HAVE THEM COME TO OUR HOME 2 TIMES PER YEAR, SERVICE OUR HEATING/AC, AND PRESSURE US TO REPLACE PARTS. OVER THIS TIME, THE SERVICEMAN CONTINUED TO ADVISE US TO REPLACE OUR UNIT WITH ONE MORE EFFICIENT. WE PAID BY CREDIT CARD, ONLY TO BE CHARGED TWICE ON ONE STATEMENT. THIS HAPPENED TWICE!!!!! THE TIME THE SERVICEMAN CAME AND WE SPENT $489 FOR PARTS, LABOR, AND SERVICE AGREEMENT, HE THEN CAME 6 MONTHS LATER FOR ROUTINE CHECK, AND SAID THAT THE BEARINGS WERE BAD ON THE FAN. PREVIOUSLY HE HAD TIGHTENED THE BELT, WHICH WE BELIEVE IS WHAT MADE THE BEARINGS GO BAD. WE HAD ANOTHER COMPANY COME OUT AND LOOK. THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE, AND THAT IF WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE HEATING AND COOLING, AND WITH OUR UTILITY BILLS THERE WAS NO REASON TO NEED AN UPGRADE.

Description of Work: AS A RESULT OF OUR SEMI-YEARLY MAINTENANCE CHECK-UP IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT COULD BE FAILING. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED US THAT IT COULD LAST THIS SUMMER & MAYBE NEXT DEPENDING ON THE USAGE. A REPLACEMENT WAS RECOMMENDED. WE INVESTIGATED FURTHER AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER''S SPECIAL AVAILABLE THAT ENABLED US TO UPGRADE TO A MORE EFFICIENT FURNACE FOR AN ADDITIONAL $500.00 .

LATE AND THEN COULD NOT FINISH THE A/C IN THE SECOND UNIT BECAUSE IT STARTED TO RAIN. THIRD APPOINTMENT IS UPCOMING TO COMPLETE THE WORK. WHEN I PRESENTED THE $50 OFF COUPONS I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT BE USED.
Description of Work: FURNACE & AC TUNE-UPS ON A DOUBLE. I WAS GIVEN TWO $50 OFF REFERRAL COUPONS FOR PURCHASE OR REPAIRS AND CALLED AHEAD TO SEE IF THE COUPON COULD BE USED FOR TUNE-UP WORK. I WAS TOLD YES, WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON I USED THIS COMPANY AS OPPOSED TO THE COMPANY I HAD HISTORICALLY USED. I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY THEM, SINCE THE DISCOUNT INCENTIVE WAS THERE AND GAIN A POTENTIALLY NEW SERVICE PROVIDER.
