TruGreen Lawn Care - 5797

The service guy, Vernon Stutzman, did a lot of additional things for me that he did not have to do. He looked at my mower and help me better understand how it runs best. He was extremely thorough. He did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them.

The technician was new and apparently untrained, he used the wrong amout of chemicals on my lawn and completely burned it and turned it totally brown. I then had to have it aerated and re-seeded which they did come out and do for free, but it took many phone calls on my part to get them to take any action on this issue.

The first year our lawn did look good, then last year the quality of service was much worse. We called 3 times because they missed one whole side of the lawn (lots of weeds, clover, not as green). We have 1/2 acre for perspective, so missing one side of the lawn/house was just lazy. We were told the clover was just a different kind of grass. No one was willing to come by when we were home to discuss. Very poor service now.

Very bad, the service man did not go to back yard. I should have complained earlier, but always thought I should gave others a second chance. We have been used Scott for 10+ years and very satisfied with the service. But ever since Trugreen bought the company, strange things happened. First time , there was a bill on the door, but there is no sign at all that the fertilizer had been applied, no lawn sign, can't not even smell any difference. I did call the center and remind them to put on sign each time, just in case so kids and pets can stay away from it. Second time, the truck appeared, they sprayed something in the front, did not come to backyard at all. Hate to say bye to once trusted company.

They planted bent grass-a southern grass not meant for Ohio. It's terrible.

I am talking with my husband. We paid for it up front and you get so many visits off of it. He does not know for sure if he will use again, he is still thinking about it.

I had a good experience with them.

I don't know what to grade them for overall, they planted some grass seed but I think I need to give it more time, or have them replant some of it. It doesn't look like all of it has grown. Yes, I would use them again. I have to give it time to grow, I've been watering it but some areas didn't grow. I have to call them back, I haven't called them back yet because it has only been a couple weeks.

They're again, a little high, but everything else they're prompt, they'll do it. We've seen noticeable improvement in the lawn. It's the first time we've had a commercial lawn company, we'll probably do it again. On punctuality and professionalism, absolutely, they're good on that. On responsiveness, they're good. On punctuality and professionalism, absolutely, they're good on that. We probably will use them again, if we don't do it ourselves.

To the best of my knowledge they never applied the pre-emergent this spring. The crab grass has gone crazy in my back yard. To the best of my knowledge they did not use fertilizer (Dry Fertilizer), and sent me a bill for it. They put the date/time on the bill that they came here, and it said that the employee was here for 1 minute total. I have a 1 acre lot, which should take about 20-30 minutes to do.

We have an annual contract with them where they come out 4 times a year. We have had them for about 10 years now, and would recommend them.

Overall, the service has been fine. However, after the initial application to the shrubs, a few of the shrubs beside the pool died. Trugreen insisted it was nothing they had done. I accepted them at their word and continue to use them.

I had a very good experience. They come out several times to do our lawn.

TruGreen started out fine but then they started calling constantly trying to sell me something just like Scott's used to. I asked them to stop calling me and they stated they would put me on the do not call list. Soon after they started calling me again trying to get me to buy extra services. Finally I told one of the salespersons that I was on their do not call list. She stated that I had been put on the "do not call" list but not the "do not solicit list." How ridiculous is that! Also my yard had weeds in it for the first time using them.

There is only one person that comes out. It doesn't take them very long to do the work. They spray mosquitoes and everything that's outdoors.

We were very pleased with them. They recently took over our current lawn care provider for trees and bushes, and we're in the midst of doing some landscaping. They were very responsive when I asked if they would readjust the price, since they were taking over one pretty large area. We're pulling out, so it doesn't need treated for the next, probably the bulk of the Summer. And they were quick to get me to management, to respond to that issue. We just recently decided to try out the mosquito service, which is something we've never used before. So at this point, they were good at informing me when they were gonna be out again. Our lot is pretty irregular and they're very receptive to our suggestions on what they should and should not treat. So, so far so good. For price, we have a large lot but yet we only deal around the house, so it wouldn't be comparable to anything else.

Everything is going fine. It is a little expensive, but you know. I never had to call them. They are always here when they are suppose to be here. I don't have any problems with them.

If I could find someone that is somewhat like them, I would probably leave them.

I quit them and hired another company. For responsiveness, they were right on the job. They are a seed and fertilizer company. They are really not that good with lawn care. They use their products. They came out here and they told us that we had those bugs that eat the tree from inside out, they told us that we had those inside the tree. They charged us $700 to go in there and treat that tree and then we had to have it cut down. They didn't tell us how far up they were. They said that they could kill it. After they treated it, we had to cut the tree down because the tree was dying from the top down. So, there went $700 down the drain. They are not in that kind of business. They have just stopped there trying to get some money. I will buy Scotts products but I won't use them for treating the lawn and things like that.

It costs $50 a treatment. They could use more specialized products for my lawn.

I've been a customer for them for a long time. I have about three acres that need attention. Price-wise, they're better than most people who put the stuff on. I have this broad leafy green grass that I consider weedy that I don't like. After all this time, I would have thought that that would have been under control. So, their work is fair. It costs $174 a shot. I had this aeration thing two years ago and they left everything in a mess. But, they promised they won't this time. So we'll see.

I dealt with this company in 2010 with new sod at my house. They were horrible then basically all the treatments were watered down. After being sold on a a great starting price for first treatments which were at close to a 50% reduction I was charged full price. After about 3 treatments I halted all activity in hopes the pricing would be adjusted but that didn't occur. If Jonathan Kiner is your sales rep I'd write it all down or get it in writing. Every time I addressed it I received more sales pitch vs pricing. Do not use. I will say Rachel in the office was helpful. My iPhone is letting me list the price but it was around $92/ treatment that I paid x 3

We has some issues. We have a lot of options. We are considering our options. I may shop around before I make the decision to use them again. The workers were fine. The workers were prompt.

I got four treatments that were done four times a year. The service was good. The workers are always pleasant. He suggested other services but never pushed the work. He picks a day ahead of time and works me in the routes.

They are not the best and their prices are expensive. I am not getting a good service.
