We had arranged to be home for the installation, but they called and asked to change time to when we were not available. We agreed they could go ahead in our absence. When I arrived home, the shutters were hung 4-6 inches from window frame on all sides. Including the top trim piece. I called Trent and asked why. I also checked around the neighborhood and NO shutters anywhere were hung spaced away from windows. Trent stated that the instructions said to do that and in the absence of the homeowner they must follow the instructions of the item. Except that I was supposed to be home, and I had the instruction sheet and nowhere on there did it say to hang them that way. It even showed a picture of properly hung shutters on that same sheet. So I scanned it to him. It took 3 additional trips to get them hung properly. Something he claimed was not possible. We had used their service before. The last time I used them for grouting a shower it was also a mess and another man had to make a trip to redo the whole job because the grout fell out in 10 days. Shame Om me for using them again. These guys are not well trained. Trent is responsive and tries to provide courteous service, but courtesy falls short when the job is not of high quality.

They were very efficient, getting the work done quickly without any supervision from me. The person who replaced the post explained the options for materials and now i have a post that will no warp or rot and won't need replaced in my lifetime and looks great.

They fit us in when we were desperate. They had no open appointments, but went out of their way to come do the work in time for our engagement party.

Happy with the work. However, I believe the pricing was little steep for the work done. Was told that deck will not be painted at this time and need to wait for a while... Have to pay extra to get paint work done.

The service was horrible. I contacted the company to repair downspouts and clean out my gutters. They took days to respond and schedule. The time set was for 8 Am. I did see a van pull into my drive at that time, but by the time I got to the door, they were gone. Around 9 they showed up again, I heard them working on one downspout in the front corner of my house. Again, they left before I would get outside. I never saw them again. They never knocked on the door to introduce themselves or discuss the job. Later that day I found a bill for 233.00 in my mailbox. I was billed for 2 hours of work, ever through they were there for barely an hour and fixing the one downspout. They never cleaned out the gutters which was part of the job request. There was never a follow up with anyone from the company. However, I did receive a voice mail a few days later requesting payment. Very unhappy with service and job was never finished.

.See above. Had to pay another handyman $490 and a plumber $712 to finish what they did not even after paying them $2300.

Was friendly, quick, and informed us of some information from the manual.

First, I was happy for the punctuality as I'm a stickler for time. Shawn was very professional and very nice. I showed him what I needed done, he told me approximately how long it should take. After it was done I inspected it and everything was done to my satisfaction. I will definitely use this company again as I have many more project to do.

We have used My Handyman for a number of projects over the past year - replacement of rotted trim, replacement of window panes, installation of a storm door and most recently replacement of a cracked exhaust vent that was causing leaks. Each visit has been professional and efficient with the repairman/repairmen being punctual and competent. On occasion it's taken several days to a week for a call back but nothing too drawn out.

Shaun came out the first day and realized his ladder was not long enough for the job because of how my porch was situated. I dealt with Trey to get the service rescheduled. For lack of a better word, we had a bit of a misunderstanding but Trey worked with me to get the issue straightened out. Today Richard came out and took care of the job. All 3 were very professional and kind. I felt they were all very trustworthy and I would definitely consider using them again. Thanks!

Our basement stairs were in bad condition, really unsafe. He rebuilt them and put in a brand new banister. Now you can do pretty much anything on those stairs they're so solid! He was very reasonable price wise.

I called My Handyman to ask that someone come to my home & give me an estimate for this project, and to my surprise and satisfaction Trent was able to give me an estimate immediately. With today's technology he was able to see my home and make measurements and calculated the price in a few minutes on the phone. No waiting whatsoever. We then agreed on a date for the work to be done. The technician showed up on time as promised and gave me an overview of what he was going to do and he went to work. Two hours later I had the old guards removed, the gutters completely cleaned and new gutter guards installed. He reviewed what he had done and was very polite & professional. I could not be more pleased.

I called "my Handyman" on 7/8 and spoke with Trent. Explained that I needed a room soundproofed, that is in my basement. It is currently being used as an office. Partial ceiling and wall would need to be taken down, soundproofed and replaced. I was wanted an estimate. He stated that he could probably do it, price per hour. I submitted pictures to him through his website by clicking the "request service button" as we discussed per the phone conversation. Have not heard anything back. no estimate, no e-mail or call stating they couldn't or wouldn't do the job. Just no response. Not professional and would not use this Handyman.

Provider picked up door from Home Depot and installed very quickly. Very quick responsiveness and did a great job.

He was very professional, personable, neat and timely. I will definitely use him again.

I was disappointed in them. They did a cheap looking job.

Wall went up great but there was a delay in completing the project because the door was back-ordered. There were some communication problems regarding price when the guy who was originally working on the job was replaced by someone else to complete the door installation, but everything was worked out. We're very happy with the work and the price. I would look My Handyman first for any future project.

My Handyman are pretty good. They did a good job and are very professional.

The pricing was reasonable, not very high, not very low. That's the problem with all those companies, where one person comes and tells you that he can do everything, some aspects of his job he does very good, but other aspects of the job on the same project he doesn't do very good. That's why I cannot say "overall." Overall it doesn't make any sense. I will say that one one particular job he did good; I am happy. Another part I am not happy about. For instance, everything that he did on flooring and cabinet installation I have no problem, but his walls I do have problems. That's probably how all such companies are. I even don't know if it's better to have one person who does the whole project. For anybody, you cannot be perfect and professional in every type of work. For example, that's why people get electricians in certain jobs, etc. I don't want one person to do everything. I want a person who really specializes in something to do his job, and maybe the next day another person will come and do theirs. It all depends on the size of the project.

Had an appointment scheduled for them to clean/repair gutters on my day off. Trent called a few days earlier and said they had a cancellation and would like to send somebody over even though nobody was home. I was hesitant, but agreed. I was disappointed when I saw the bill. The work description written on the bill is exactly what follows, "Cleaned gutter front and back of garage. Still some frozen debris in front. Call when warmer." For this I was charged $130...to clean the gutters on a small portion of my home, and not finish the work because it was too cold? I was expecting ALL my gutters to be inspected and repaired. If it was too cold, why didn't they simply reschedule for when it's warmer?? I questioned Trent about this, and he said that the bill was valid. When I asked if there would be an additional charge to come back when warmer, I got some double-talk about how he'll talk to the technician that did the work, but I never received a firm answer about it. I have no prior experience with this company and I hired them solely based on the very good ratings on Angie's List, and I'm incredibly disappointed with the service I received. If I had been home, I never would have accepted the work. So I guess shame on me for trusting this company to do the right thing.

No work was performed. Which is too bad as the initial conversations went well, immediate call back with estimates and pricing. Not sure what or why he changed his mind.
