My Handyman did an excellent job!!! The kitchen renovation included removing a dining room wall, moving all the plumbing & lighting, installed all new custom cabinets and replaced all the flooring & painted on the first floor. The bathroom renovation was the removal of tub and cabinets, installed a marble shower, new vanity and all new flooring. Every day when work was finished, they made sure everything was cleaned up. They had told me 3 weeks for both projects and they delivered. If you are looking for a company to help with any projects, I would HIGHLY recommend My Handyman. You would be pleased with their work!!

While it took a week to finally reach Trent and set up the job, I was very pleased with the guy they sent and the quality of the work overall. He was very knowledgeable. He worked fast, and he made some suggestions that improved the overall appearance of the flooring look better than it would have without his suggestions.

Absolutely loved working with these guys. From start to finish the whole process was done in a month from the time I called in. The foreman was very professional and got me a quote right away. My expectations were exceeded helping me find a place to purchase high quality materials under our budget. Initially great - wasnt until the project was winding down and they asked for payment of the balance that things went south. Was supposed to be finished by Wed of our move in week (moved in on a Saturday) - When they were still not finished Friday there was obviously some concern - sent a tech on Saturday and he finished what he could - but agreed there was an issue with the wiring performed by another tech (later it was discovered by an independent electrician we hired out of pocket to correct that the first tech had wired the ground into the "hot" of the breaker below at the box - causing all outlets on that breaker to run at 220v - this issue became apparent when we plugged in our dyson vacuum and it was ruined due to the bad wiring job - as well as our new electric cooktop which was on that breaker. Myhandyman was immediately notified of the issue - as well as reminded they had left a garage full of construction debris to be removed as agreed in our garage - no response...2 days later we notice a leak coming from one of the bathrooms where they had replaced a vanity and floor - a subsequent repair by an independent plumber determined that myhandyman had used "shark-bite" fittings and they simply did not lock the fittings (a trend noticed as I myself had to check/tighten the supply lines to the washer/dryer and the vanities after discovering there was no QC done after the plumbing was completed - water was simply turned on at the main - but no test to ensure fittings were free of leaks was completed). - In the end - i wish I had never found MyHandyMan-Columbus - the work was substandard - the time was twice as long as it should have been and the job site was left before work was completed (but they certainly made sure to receive and cash the payment) - NEVER PAY BEFORE THE WORK IS COMPLETED AND QC'D - Angies List has been of no assistance in this matter either - at this point I am filing with the Office of the Ohio Attorney General for their actions and a partial refund. Seemed great in the beginning - but when minor things went wrong - they were quick to vanish and stop responding.

First i would like to ensure that the work we were contracted to perform was completed on time per contract. I would also like to state that i'm sorry this customer is having problems in their home and we are willing to fix anything that we actually did incorrectly. However there are several portions of this complaint that are incorrect. The trash left on the jobsite was not ours, we removed all trash that we brought into the home. The customer has trash from other projects going on that we did not remove although we would have if requested. The sink that leaked may have been our fault but we were never given an opportunity to go back and diagnose and repair the leak because the customer never contacted us advising it was leaking even though they stated they did. We would have been more than happy to go repair the leak immediately. When we left after hooking up the plumbing for the sink there was no leak. The last item on this complaint was an incorrectly installed electrical breaker that was connected to the breaker below. We did not move or change anything in the breaker panel involving the 220 breaker that the cooktop is on nor did we do any electrical work involving the cooktop. the customer had an electrician out prior to my handyman due to a list of other electrical issues that were going on in the home. We are not sure what all those issues were. We are sincerely sorry the customer experienced issues with his appliances but this was at no fault to my handyman. We would welcome a conversation with the customer to discuss these issues in more detail and hopefully come to a mutually agreeable resolution.

The service let me know that the handyman would be one of two people and gave me their names. Richard introduced himself with ID and business card at the door. He examined the current unit, priced up the cost of the replacement unit along with labor estimate. We agreed to the model fan and cost and time frame of the job. The job went very smoothly with the handyman keeping up posted of progress along the way. He actually finished much sooner than expected by about an hour- thus saving us on labor costs. The new unit is working very well and we are very pleased with his service

My Handyman completed this project for the customer exactly as specified in the contract that he agreed to. The customer gave us an "F" on price although we gave him an Angie's List 10% discount after he informed us he was an Angie's list member. After the discount the customer agreed to the terms of the contract. The customer signed off, once the work was completed, stating that the work was completed to his satisfaction, and then customer threatened us with a bad review on Angie's list after he paid if we didn't give him another discount off the total price. This customer has no complaints other than wanting to get some money back on the project he agreed to and signed off on as complete and satisfactory. Thank you for your time. The responsiveness of the office staff is very disappointing. They don't allow enough time for everything to be done. They never answer the phone when I call. I have to wait at least 5 days before a return call and sometimes it takes longer than that. He pulled the technician off a plumbing job before it was done, The tech said he would have the office call to set up another appointment. The lines burst a few days later and we ended up with water in our basement and had to hire another plumbing outfit (Roto Rooter) to come clean it up and fix the leak. This caused damage in our downstairs office and media room. And cost us $1600 for a job My Handyman could have done for a lot less. Their office finally called a week later and wanted to set the appointment. We told him we didn't need them now. We finally called a few weeks later to have the rest of the things that were supposed to be done along with the plumbing job and it took him five days to return my call. If it weren't for the great work their technician Dave does, I wouldn't have used them again. He is very knowledgeable about many areas of expertise and has always finished the job to our satisfaction. It's just he's not allowed enough time for the list of things to be done. But I'm tired of the hassle of dealing with the office staff. Now I definitely won't use them any longer. NO MORE!!
Description of Work: A sump pump drain outside was repaired. A fence that had been put up by them in the fall, had to be tightened. Tightened a deck railing, hung a heavy bell, and put up a clothes line.

They did it again ! Another great job by the folks at My Handyman. I purchased laminate flooring, and all the necessary accessories. Richard and Reed showed up very on time and we reviewed everything. I had removed the majority of the carpeting (my workout) and they began a very thorough prep on the base floor, removing all staples and debris. They never stopped working except for a short lunch. If there were questions for me to answer, they asked. They kept my up on the progress the whole day, even though I was on site. They started at 8 am and finished at 5:30. Their clean up was good, sweeping up where they had set up their saw equipment in the garage. They even covered my husband motorcycle so it wouldn't get covered with sawdust. Super nice...Very professional...Great Job !

It was fine. My Handyman themselves didn't actually do the work. The design was by a cabinet company, but I suppose that was fairly normal. I am not sure if I'm going to go with My Handyman to do the work.

He gave a verbal quote without any written quote. He wanted to charge approx. 5 times what the verbal estimate was. Now, he is not willing to agree to the price he quoted. He did do the work, but is now wanting to charge $2500.00. I did a check for $500 as was originally quoted.
Description of Work: I needed some windows filled in where I had boarded them in. (5) windows needing siding and some siding around a door frame. His estimate to me was $300-$500.00.

The customer called My Handyman and explained the project he needed done. He had explained that there was 4 windows that were removed and siding needed installed in the opening where the windows were previously. The customer approximated that there was 2 windows that were 5' x 5' and 2 windows that were 32" x 68". The customer also explained that there was some siding around the back door that needed repaired/replaced as well. My Handyman explained to the customer that this was a project we would complete hourly plus the cost of materials. My Handyman explained how we would complete the project hourly and would bill the customer for each man hour spent on the project plus the cost of the materials needed to complete the job correctly. My Handyman explained the rate amounts and explained that we estimated this project would take about 5-6 hours man hours per the dimensions given over the phone. The customer agreed and scheduled the appointment advising that he may not be home during the appointment because he had to be at work and that if we ran into any issues or had any questions to call him on his cell phone. On Monday April 6th 2015, My Handyman arrived at the job site as scheduled and determined that the project was much more involved than originally anticipated and the technician spoke with the customer in person because he happened to be home and advised that this project would take a total of about 3 - 8 hour days and that we would be able to complete the project in 2 days with an additional technician on the second day totaling 3 - 8 man hours days or 24 man hours. When the technician spoke with the customer at that time the customer also requested that the old siding we pulled off around the windows be saved and installed on the back of the house where everyone will see so that it looks uniform. The technician advised that he could do it and it would take some additional time. The customer agreed and gave my handyman consent to proceed with the project as discussed in person before any work had been completed. My Handyman was on the job site from 9:53 am to 4:50 pm the first day totaling 6 hours and 57 minutes. On Wednesday April 8th 2015, My Handyman arrived at the job site as scheduled and continued to complete the work for the customer as agreed upon with two technicians. The Project went according to schedule and My Handyman completed the project at the end of the day on April 8th. My Handyman was on the job site from 8:03 am to 5:21 pm the first day totaling 9 hours and 18 minutes. Upon completion of the project My Handyman's technician called the customer to advise the project was complete and to collect payment but the call went to the customers voicemail. The technician completed the work-order in our system and an invoice was generated and emailed to the customer. The customer called shortly after that and was irate with the total price of the project. My Handyman spoke with the customer several times in the days/weeks to follow and explained that although he agreed to the project and the rates we would try to come to an agreement at a lower total price for the project. My Handyman's invoice came to a labor total of $2,130.00 and a materials total of $444.23 making the grand total $2,574.23. After reviewing all the details My Handyman agreed as a courtesy to adjust the labor cost total to $1,200.00 + $444.23 for materials making the grand total $1,644.23. After the customer reviewed My Handyman's proposal he agreed to the adjusted rate and My Handyman offered an extended period of time of 6-8 weeks to make payment in full as an additional courtesy to the customer. Several weeks later the customer sent a letter and a check for $500.00 requesting that payment be in full for the services rendered on his property even though he had already agreed to the adjusted rate. My Handyman is not willing and will not accept that $500.00 as payment in full. We will however accept the adjusted balance as payment in full if payment is received by Monday June 1st. My Handyman has made several attempts to contact the customer and the customers attorney to resolve this matter without further ramifications but we have been unsuccessful getting in contact with the customer. We did however speak with the customers attorney and she advised us that she was to busy at the time to speak with us and would have to follow up with us later but unfortunately she never did. My Handyman has made every possible attempt to resolve this matter and would very much like to do so. The customer agreed to our rates initially, the customer agreed to the amount of time the project was going to take after seeing the project in person and the customer making changes to what was originally scheduled, the customer even agreed to a reduced rate My Handyman offered as a courtesy due to the customers confusion but has failed to follow through with any agreement he has made verbally or otherwise with My Handyman throughout the entire proceeding. Not good. His first statement when he came in was "I haven't worked on a refrigerator for about 3 years." ... hardly a confidence builder. He couldn't find a problem despite there being water on the floor. He gave me a long technical explanation which didn't solve anything, He said he'd call it into my home warranty company and get back to me... which he never did. Based on his report to the home warranty company they closed the claim and did nothing. I called the home warranty company back telling them the problem hasn't been solved and they sent someone else. The new guy from Sears found the problem and he was here about half the time the My Handyman guy was.
