Approximately 8 months after moving in, we contacted DuraFloors to lodge a complaint about the carpeting. In 8 months of regular vacuuming, the carpet continued to "shed" and fill up the vacuum canister after just one room had been vacuumed. The representative explained that this was "common" and we needed to give the carpet 6 more months to stop shedding. He took a sample and agreed to have it tested to see if there was a defect. 6 months later, after hearing nothing, I called to complain again. I was told the sample was lost by FedEx, so they couldn't do anything without an additional sample. They picked up a 2nd sample from our home. I called 3 weeks later, and was told the sample was too small for testing (again, I had to call to find this out). They picked up a 3rd sample. I called 3 weeks later and was told the person who delivers the samples was fired, so the sample was still in their office. The carpet looks terrible and still sheds, but the runaround continues.

MY BUILDER USED DURAFLOORS FOR OUR FLOORING, THE WORK WAS DONE POORLY - SEVERAL SEAMS SHOWING, CARPET LAID IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. THEY OFFERED TO REPLACE THE CARPET; HOWEVER, MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN CALLING TO SCHEDULE IT SINCE MAY 30 WITH ONLY THE PROMISE OF RETURN PHONE CALLS. IT'S NOW 08/20, ALMOST TWO MONTHS LATER. THEY HAVE NO FOLLOW-UP SKILLS AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, NOT TO MENTION THAT IF THEY WOULD HAVE JUST LAID THE CARPET CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO RETURN TO FIX IT. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THEM AND DISAPPOINTED THAT MY BUILDER WOULD USE A COMPANY LIKE THIS!

THE INSTALLATION WAS GREAT, BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. THEY ARE SO NON-RESPONSIVE. I HAD TO USE THEM WITH OUR BUILDER, BUT I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
