We used Jon not once, but twice, during the summer of 2015. The first time, his keen observant eye for detail and his industry knowledge, background and experience (he used to work as a construction/project manager) saved us from a huge mistake. The sheer volume of significant, structural and mechanical issues he detected was staggering. His lengthy, thorough report, complete with photographs, was emailed to us that night. Seller had no choice but to release us from the contract given Jon's objective detailed report. Before purchasing our current house, I emailed Jon a few time inquiring about issues we found on various showings. He replied promptly even though not currently engaged. When our offer was accepted for our current house, there was no question who we would call for the inspection. Jon! Once again, Jon's keen observant eye for detail was invaluable. While in better shape, no house is without its problems. Jon has been "spot on" to date concerning potential issues to look out for. Can't say we weren't warned by a knowledgeable industry professional. In short, no surprises. Calls and emails setting up inspections were handled promptly and efficiently. Coordination of the inspections were excellent. Jon arrived early for the inspections and had taken care of the preliminaries by the time I arrived. During the inspections, he patiently and thoroughly explained his findings. He was a wealth of information on maintenance helpful. As mentioned above, turn around time for the reports was immediate.

The entire experience was so great. Jon was courteous and respectful of the seller's home. He was so thorough and complete. I learned a lot through this experience and it gives me a great insight to the workings of the house and the issues we'll need to take care of. He and his report also advised me of the items that need to be maintained, when, and how often.

I purchased a home inspection deal and I was contacted via email the same day to set up the appointment. John confirmed with me when he had talked to the listing agent and had the appointment confirmed so that we were clear on time and date. John was early and already at the home and working on the exterior inspection when we arrived. He was very friendly, explained what he would do and how he would do it, and invited us to walk through with him as he did the inspection so we could see exactly what he was doing. He was very thorough and pointed out any concerns, as well as things that were great about the house. He had already dropped on radon testing equipment a few days prior to the home inspection so that we had the rating at the time we came to the house. Once he was finished inspecting the house, he walked us back through each area that we had already talked about, making suggestions and talking about what we might want to make our top priorities. Within 24 hours, we had Johns written report emailed to us. The report was very detailed, outlining high priorities first, then secondary things that may need attention in the future. The report was very well orgainzed and easy to read and reference, and included clear digital pictures of anything that needed attention. From start to finish, John was and excellent service provider, promt, professional, and very knowledgable. We wanted to make sure that we had a great home inspector that we trusted, and that's exactly what we got. I would HIGHLY recommend Comprehensive Dwelling Evaluations for your home inspections!! Jon was highly recommended by our lender and he didn't disappoint. Upon purchasing a comprehensive inspection though A.L. Jon emailed me within what seemed like minutes, introducing himself and walking me through the process. The day of the inspection he arrived early and walked me through everything that he was looking at, spending plenty of time ensuring that I'm aware any concerns. I feel confident purchasing the home after working with Jon!

From the very beginning Jon was awesome. He was recommended by my realtor so I wanted to schedule our inspection as soon as possible. As soon as I emailed him, he called me within 20 minutes. I was also able to schedule my home inspection within 2 days and on a Sunday, so he was really accommodating to my schedule. He arrived earlier than expected and was already going to work before we even got there. He explained things extremely easy, called out things that were great, things we should keep an eye on etc. I couldn't have asked for a better inspection. He was so thorough that I felt feeling really good about the house. I was able to get my report within hours and it had clear explanations and photos. For my first home inspection, it couldn't have gone more smoothly. I will use CDE for any future inspections we have!

The seller made the home inspection period and remedy period very short. Jon was very responsive; by email, phone and text and worked with us to get the inspection scheduled quickly. This was our first home purchase and Jon was great! He was very punctual. He even came out very early the day before the inspection to get the Radon monitor in place. He came back the day after the inspection to pick it up and we had the report later that night. Jon was very thorough, took tons of pictures and gave us tons of positive input to go along with the few "issues" that we saw. We got a detailed inspection report via email. The report was very well written with many pictures. We were able to reference these pictures in our Request to Remedy, making sure there was confusion in what we were asking to have corrected. All in all, this was a great experience and we'd recommend Jon to anyone who asks us about a home inspection.

I had a great experience working with CDE when I was buying (my first) home. I had very little time to get the inspection done in time to meet the Request to Remedy deadline. Jon was able to come out and provided the report the next day. He was very thorough, picky even, which is what you want in an inspector. He pointed out everything from electrical code violations, to small details such as some closet doors that were missing floor tracks. He explained everything very clearly as he was doing it. He also pointed out aspects of the house that he did like, so I had a balanced viewpoint. The report I got from him was well annotated with pictures. I was nervous buying my first home, but I really felt like I knew what I was getting into after the inspection, and I was much better informed in general. Jon also came back out to re-inspect after the Request to Remedy was completed. He was always very personable and professional, and prompt to return emails.

I was very pleased with the length of time that the evaluation took and the friendly and professional service. The price was exactly what was quoted, too!

Ken inspected my current home 12 years ago, and this is the 3rd time I have hired Ken to conduct a Home Inspection. He inspected a property for us in March and really helped us from buying "a lot of problems". Ken conducted an inspection yesterday, and his tremendous attention to detail, insightfulness and counsel really brings added comfort to the home buying process.

Ken did a fabulous job. He was very nice and courteous - (even with all my kids running around). I can not stress enough as to how thorough Ken was with our inspection. We do have a well built house, by very reputable builders but I still wanted a second opinion by someone who is very familiar with the building code and knows what to look for structurally. I only had a few things on my "To Do" list before Ken arrived but by the time Ken left, my list was much larger. He picked up on things I didn't realize was my builders obligation to fix. My list is much more comprehensive than I am sure my builders would like it to be but now I know things will be fixed by the builder and not me when we sell in the future. He found things that were over looked by our first inspector before we closed last year (and should have been fixed before we closed). I'm glad we used him and wished I knew about him last year.

When I called Ken to schedule the inspection, he was very professional and explained exactly what he would inspect, and was very willing to work with my, and the current homeowner's, schedules. He asked me to be there about an hour after he showed up so he would have time to do a walk-through before I arrived. When I got there, he walked me through the house pointing out all the important points and explained what was good and what was bad. He performed a very thorough inspection of the house from basement and crawlspace to attic, exterior and appliances. Five days later I received a 23-page written report by email and he actually apologized for not sending it sooner! Ken is very knowledgeable and helpful, and I would definitely recommend his services.

THEY ACTUALLY MADE THIS NERVE WRACKING EXPERIENCE ENJOYABLE. THE INSPECTOR HAD A SENSE OF HUMOR (HE GREETED ME BY TELLING ME THE HOUSE WAS GOING TO FALL DOWN IN TWO DAYS, I GUESS THAT IS INSPECTOR'S HUMOR). DID A THROUGH JOB AND WROTE THE REPORT IN NON-TECHNICAL LANGUAGE. HE ALSO SUMMARIZED IT AND RECOMMENDED WHAT PROBLEMS IN THE HOUSE I SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON. HE PRODUCED THE REPORT QUICKLY.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND SO UNBELIEVABLY THOROUGH THAT WE COULD NOT BELIEVE OUR GOOD LUCK IN DISCOVERING SUCH A GEM. HE ENJOYS HIS WORK AND IS QUITE GOOD AT IT. I HAVE NEVER HAD A HOME INSPECTED SO THOROUGHLY.
