Everything went fine. I ordered the windows in October and they finally did in January, but I wanted it done in January, so I could get tax advantages in 2009. Their price was the best that we got.

Did not work with this company and never will

I like that I can get free replacement window. I had a gas leak in one of my windows and they came out and took the number down. About three or four weeks later I had a new window. They are lifetime free replacement windows.

It was a good experience.There were a few problems, but it was still a good experience.

I summarized our situation as soon as the salesman entered our home -- we're remodeling an older fixer-upper, had planned to use all-wood windows, but wanted to investigate the cost of vinyl replacement windows as a more affordable option. I told him we chose Champion as the only vinyl replacement window dealer to quote the work because of their warranty and years in the market. He then forced us to endure his memorized sales spiel about the history of the company, quality of the product, etc, even tho I reminded him there weren t any other companies quoting the work, we were familiar with his product, all we needed was his price quote. He was rude and condescending whenever I asked questions, and argued every time I discussed technical information (like the relationship between R and U values) telling me I was ignorant about construction in general and windows in particular. Well, my husband has an engineering degree, and I have 2 engineering degrees 1 of them in civil engineering, specializing in architectural design. We have been remodeling houses for over 25 years, including the replacement of many windows and doors, so we re far from ignorant about construction. Communicating with him was impossible for example, his brochures talk about grid designs, but when I said we wanted to see what grid designs they offered he acted like I had begun to speak a foreign language. He discussed a type of trimwork they would use to hide the rough cut edges of our stucco walls after the installation, and when I asked to see a model or picture of it, he claimed to have no idea what I was talking about. He complained repeatedly about the other contractors that he felt must have filled us with disinformation, like when I asked whether they offered full screens (he says no-one does, tho we all know that s not true). I attempted several times to hurry his presentation along--we have 3 young kids, it was an evening appointment, and I had other errands that needed to be run before bedtime. But he refused to be hurried. After an hour, while he was writing up the quote, I finally had to leave, though my husband could stay with him, and he expressed indignation and incredulous disgust--he said he "couldn't believe that I would simply leave". When I replied that we were not going to sign any contract that evening so it didn t matter whether I was there as he finished up the quote, he blew up and got extremely irate, railing against these "other contractors" who must have abused us so badly in the past. I called my husband on the cell phone to ask for area addresses where we could see their product installed, and the salesman refused to provide them. That was really the last straw, and I asked my husband to get rid of the man as soon as he could.

The gutters were not attached properly and it was a bad mess, they ruined some wood also that we had barely had installed. They left nails every where, they also tore telephone lines off the side of the house.

I had a house inspector come and they did not pass with the standards. So I had to have them come back numerous times. They had to come a redo the gutters and when they did this is lowered and slanted them and now I have a spot up there that needs a piece of siding. When I called them to tell them what needed to be fixed they would give me a hard time telling me that I was wrong, so that is when I hired the inspector and then he told him they were wrong. I have had to call them so many times to fix the same problems that I can not even think of talking to them again, so here I sit with problems left and I do not want to have to back out.

They showed up on time to do the work. They were very courteous when they were working. They cleaned up everything when they were done working on the house.

It was very good. The salesman was very good and he knew what he was doing. The crew that came out actually worked and didn't hang around and do nothing. They cleaned up very well.

We received an estimate for a number of windows. Champion was having a 40% sale so it was very high pressure to get the sale price. My husband and I fell for the hard sale. We made the mistake of signing a contract to get the sale price. The salesperson told us that we could change our order but needed to sign to make sure we got the great deal he was offering. We put $1000.00 down. In the meantime, we had a serious medical hardship and were unable to purchase all of the windows that we had initially planned. When we called to advise of our situation, we were harassed to the point that we were ashamed and embarrassed. We finally settled with one window installed at the full price of $1011.00 so that we could use our deposit. The window install was fine but our pride was not. We were treated very poorly by the sales/management team. Also during this time, there was a lot of change of personnel/management which made this even harder as we were handed off from person to person.

Everything went very well. I had a difficult time deciding what style I wanted. Gary the salesman answered all my questions and helped me decide what options would be good for my house. I felt good about the quality of their product and their professionalism. I also visited the showroom and talked to Larry. He helped clear up some other concerns that I had. Overall, I was happy with the warranty, the product, and the reliability of the company. I ended up using another company because a personal friend of mine had an interest in the business, but I would recommend this company in general. ($6,500)

I had the guy come and measure to make a replacement and they did not tell me they were not going to put in it in 2 different pieces. I had to call the installation manager about getting a replacement again which was about a month ago and I haven't heard anything. It has not been an easy process and I have had to keep in contact with them they do not make any effort to make the situation right. I am very disappointed.

They did an excellent job they were doing something unusual for them. My porch was odd and was settle. The walls were not straight. they had to make the walls work with the windows. They did a beautiful job.

They cleaned up after they were finished hauled away the derby. I was very pleased.

Tore down old brick and siding gazebo attached to house; built new flooring up to level of present home floors; constructed patio room to blend in with house. Cleaned up all brick, etc., from gazebo. Electric done, A/C and heating unit installed. Two workers did most of work and did not fool around.

Purchased condo with "bare basement". Since we were downsizing, we needed more space than just the condo living space; for office, recreation and grandkid's space. About 75% of the space, excluding the mechanical area, was ideal. We visited the Champion show room and saw a display that we really liked, but not sure that we could afford such a beautiful remodeling job. Doug came to our condo, sketched a design, gave us an estimate, (first and only price), explained how and why certaing things would be done; such as enclosing open steps, lighting, window framing, and phone, cable, and electrical outlets. He described the time frame for the installers, hours they would be working and how long the job would last. There was no hard sell; just an explanation of what they could do with our space. The estimate was much less than we had anticipated. The ok was given, the job was done on schedule and on estimate. We love it!!

The crew of two arrived promptly at the promised time. They were knowledgeable, experienced, hard working and friendly. They finished the work in less time than expected (half a day) and I am very pleased with the results. They cleaned up after themselves and took the old doors with them. This was a very positive experience. The doors appear to be excellent quality and the installation was professional.

The installer was miraculous! He tore out the old windows and installed the new windows all in one day. He showed up at 9 a.m. when he said he would and finished at 5:30. He didn't even leave the house to go to lunch. He cleaned up all the mess on the outside as well.

Workmanship is not very good. They used staples to put wood work together and the woodwork is falling apart. It has only been 2 weeks and the quality is already showing. I would like them to come back and fix this issue, as well as finish the painting that they promised they would do. I am very dissatisfied with this company at this point.

We had an in-home estimate from one of the salesmen. He entered our home and began a 90 minute sales pitch which included a 50 page laminated book that not only pointed out the quality of the windows but also the lack of quality of other companies windows. We felt like we were being sold a used car. We also had to endure the heat lamp demonstration. His original price was very high but then he began "Sales 101" by lowering the price by 35% because of a "Fall Sale". When we frowned, he lowered the price by $2000 more for a "weekly deal". He became frustrated when we did not sign a contract that night. We felt very pressured by the deal. We ended up using another great company in town who beat Champion's quote by $2000. We would not recommend dealing with Champion as the whole sales process seemed very high pressure and cheesy.

The work went very quickly, and the finished result is excellent. The crew chief Mike Wood made several suggestions on things we had not thought of and was very flexible with minor changes and improvements. The crew cleaned up every day and communicated the process and schedule very clearly. Mike even came out on the weekend to complete some work to stay on schedule. The process is very quick, and they clean with a minimum of dust.

Overall quality is good, however service and them standing behind their warranty is another story.

Salesman was not responsive after making the sale. By way of contrast, the construction manager was very responsive to our interest in adjustments to the original plan and to concerns about details. We are satisfied with the final product, but it sure seemed to take a long time to get there. Some of the delays were unavoidable, but some delays were due to poor planning, and others stemmed from our wanting things redone to meet the quality we expected. The company was very clear that they would keep working at whatever issues/problems we saw in the project until we were satisfied. They did as they said in this regard.

When they came out I was very intimidated by the salesman during the estimate. They talked my husband into replacing all the windows. At the time he said that if we wanted to, we could get everything for one year without interest, at that time we said no, later we decided to get that loan through them, the other salesman told us we could no longer take it, because it would come out of his commission. When I ordered my front door, I ordered it with a transom above it, and when it arrived there was not one, and they said that I had not ordered it. They called back later and told us that they had forgotten to order it so I did not let them put it in.

The experience was positive with the windows and the install. I wasn't unhappy but next time I might get more estimates! I felt a bit pressured.
