Benchmark Roofing

He added some caulking and secured some nails. He was a nice guy and did a good. He let me know the roof was good for 3 more years and I would consider using him again when that time comes.

They were very specific with their estimate. They came in half the price of another estimate I received. They did an awesome job!

My experience with Benchmark and their staff was perfect. I found Benchmark on Angie's List,, read the reviews and found a direct number for one of the managers, Jason. I contacted him and he came by the same day for an initial estimate. I thought about it and recontacted him asking about a little wiggle room on the price and he was very accomadating. Crew came out probmplty at 7:00 A.M. introduced themselves and then covered all my decks, plants, porch's for protection. After they had removed the two previous roofs they found I needed some additional work on the SE corner of the roof. They patiently explanined what the problem was and gave me specific pricing for the additional repairs. All the guys on the crew were hard workers and friendly. Andy the crew chief as really patient in explaining to me what all was going on. After completion of the work, the crew worked very hard cleaning up every little scrap of shingles or trash. They then went around with two different types of magnets to remove any loose nails that might have fallen on the....I have found just a very few nails...great job. The team started at seven and were gone by 5:20 that night. I have had Benchmark out again to look at my flashings as I just didn't care for the color they sprayed the flashing (just a personal thing). They sent a two team crew who showed the next day and repainted the flashing to a color of my choice. All in all a great experience and would recommend them to friends and family. Also kuddo's to Jenny who is in the office and setting appoints, she is a super gal to deal with, treats you like you are their only customer, a real gem.

Everything was wonderful. Gary was extremely helpful in dealing with out insurance company and sending out guys to put an emergency tarp on since we found the roofing damage they day we were going on vacation. Andy, the project manager, was also great in dealing with the insurance company. We felt these guys cared and were on our side. The roof was finished on 8/2/13 and we were very pleased that it was done so quickly from the day we scheduled it. I can't say enough about how pleased we were with the experience.

I chose to go with them. My wife was here for the quote, but it was very detailed as far as the issues even though I wasn't here. He spent over an hour going over our roof and came up with pretty much the same items that another company did except that his cost was just a lot less. He actually found a few things that the other guy didn't find. We had him scheduled for last week, but the guy who originally was supposed to come out called the morning of it and said it was a family emergency. He didn't come, but they were good in that they called back the next day with a different guy from the company who was scheduled to come out. I didn't have to follow-up and he came early.

The rep never contacted us with a proposal.

I can't say enough good about the work that Steve did. He explained to us all of the issues up front and even showed us pictures of what he meant with the issues.He was very kind and courteous, and went above and beyond. He even took a leaf blower to our gutters to make sure they were clean. I would highly recommend him to anyone, and we will definitely use him when it comes to actually replacing the roof!

Very professional. They did repair the leak, as well as fixed a warped piece of wood in the adjacent area. They also painted a pipe and fixed a leak on another pipe. I would recommend them to everyone.

We had some water leaking in due to some roofing issues. Problem was repaired in a couple hours and have not had any problems since.

It took some time to get the initial estimate set up, but once we sent in the deposit check, they certainly cashed that quickly. Then six weeks later I hadn't heard anything so I called the main line and eventually they came out to do the work. The first day they called me with ten minutes' notice (I had asked for one day notice to remove my dog) and after five minutes at my house determined the estimator was wrong and something different needed to be replaced which would cost an additional $200. The second day they came, they came too late in the day to actually finish the project and hadn't brought all the materials they needed (again with little notice.) They did manage to go up to the roof and throw a bunch of insulation and wood bits onto my side lawn. The third time they came, they finally fixed the issue. And while they certainly took a nice long time between my deposit check and coming to do the work, they will threaten to put a lien on your house if you don't pay in three weeks. I would not use this company again because I can't depend on them to show up in a timely manner or when they say they will, or that their estimator will actually quote me for the correct problem.

Very personable owner. Great in the estimate process and helped walked us through what needed done. Came out quickly when we noticed roof was leaking. He helped us with an easy solution inside where the stain was and they replaced the missing tile and made sure no other damage occured. He noticed some other issues that needed replaced and they also did that work.

I actually have no idea if the price was good or not. However, they were very professional and got the job done without much delay and now 7 months later, no leaks so I am very happy! We had requested their estimate for another roofing job a few years ago and since they were too busy to come within 2 weeks, we couldn't use them, but it was because of how well that experience went that we called them again for this. I would definitely call them again.

They did a great job on the roof repair! They came out within a few days of contacting them and the price was fair. The only issue we had was they did not call to tell us when they would be coming and we didnt even realize the job was done until we had called back to see when they were coming out. Definitely was not a huge deal, just would have been nice to have been notified! We will definitely use them again in the future and would have no problem referring them to family and friends.

They guys showed up early, worked extremely hard and finished everything and cleaned up in one day. It was the hottest day of the year.

Roof needed to be replaced due to wind damage. Benchmark Roofing was one of the companies that I got an estimate from. How did they do? Absolutely wonderful. The scheduling was very flexible, even with all the rain at the time. They were able to do the entire job in one day! The workers were very good, they worked very hard, and totally cleaned up the yard around the house. They did a tremendous job of protecting the flowers and bushes and especially at picking up all the small pieces of the torn-off roof. Replacing a house roof is not an easy job. Benchmark crew did a great job. The man to came to estimate really knew what he was doing, and even got an increased payment from the insurance company (they had miss-measured the area). He didn't try to sell things that weren't needed, and he made sure the workers got everything right before starting. I would definitely recommend Benchmark roofing.

After the hurricane went through, we contacted Benchmark on a recommendation from a neighbor who is a realtor. They came out, bid on the work, and came in the cheapest. When they were repairing our roof a sudden ice storm popped up and they had to quickly finish the roof. The owner called us to let us know the work wasn't up to their usual standards and to let us know he would correct it, but they had to get something down. These guys were working on the roof to get shingles down quickly while being pelted with ice. As soon as the weather cleared, they came out and took off the shingles that were put down too quickly and redid the work. So a few years goes by, and i notice a water leak on my ceiling where the roof was put on. It was still under warranty so I called them, and one of the owners came out. He spent about an hour at my house, checking the roof, looking for where the water was coming in at. Turns out it wasn't the roof at all.Some of my siding had separated and water was coming in diagonally after a strong rain. Most companies would have went to the attic and saw no water damage and would have said its not the roof and left. He spent a lot of time figuring out where the water was coming in, he caulked it and repaired it for and charged me nothing. He spent about 2 hours at my house taking care of this. Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful! I highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heartbeat. You can tell a lot about a company by how they handle problems, like the sudden ice storm. They could have walked away at that point as they had put on a roof, but they didn't since it wasn't up to their standards. FANTASTIC!!!

I had three estimates ranging from $2200-$950, all quoting the same repair work. Benchmark not only came in the lowest, but could get to it the quickest. The service tech was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend using Benchmark.

I found Benchmark Roofing to be a very professional company, he was knowledgeable, punctual and very honest. When I do need to replace my roof I will definitely call Benchmark Roofing!

The was an excellent experience overall. Gary Beddow patiently responded to my many questions while I was in the process of comparing bids - I must have called him a dozen times! Other roofers' estimates gave me a total plus several footnotes of what could be additional costs without stating what the costs could be. Benchmark's estimate had only one footnote and the possible dollar amount was provided. Once I decided to go with Benchmark, Gary helped me decide exactly what would look best on the house. The workers were very efficient in removing the old shingles, installing the new roof and cleaning up all the debris. They scanned the yard with a magnet to pick up all the nails. They re-attached a gutter on my request. Two great outcomes - my new roof is beautiful and it cost the exact amount of the estimate!

In summary, the company was very fair in reaching a resolution to our concerns. We had an issue with the amount we were charged for the service since it was not disclosed in advance. We called the office and expressed our concerns and the company offered to return our money in full if we were dissatisfied. We told them to keep $200 and return $150 to us. We would recommend them because they were prompt, efficient and fair in their dealings when a problem arose.

Gary had not asked any questions about the height of the house when we were setting up the appointment, so it never occurred to me to make sure that he would have the appropriate equipment. After a week had gone by with no word from anyone at Benchmark, I called and spoke with Gary. He said that he would be coming out, and I said that it was fine as long as he didn't have to have anyone on the premises for the second visit. He never contacted me with a report or an estimate, so I called again after two weeks had gone by and asked him to call me and let me know if he was going to come out and look at the roof or not. I haven't heard from him, so I am going to continue searching for a roofer who will be able to inspect my roof. I am unhappy about this because we are coming up on cold weather time, and I've lost two and a half weeks waiting for Benchmark to do ... nothing.

I am pleased so far with the work. Terry,the agent has not been too helpful.
