Benchmark Roofing

The company representative was very enthusiastic and extremely thorough with his presentation, although he does need to update his some of his documents which were expired. There was a minor concern when he documented this as being a 7/12 pitch roof, when each of the other three companies, without coaching, stated the roof in question is really a 6/12. However, that really wasn't the determining factor in our choice to go with another company. We would definitely recommend to others needing roofing work to consider this company for estimates, and possible work, should they meet their requirements.

Favorable: had estimate in timely fashion with very professional and informative representative. We used a company with a lesser estimate and seemingly comparable services.

We had gotten quotes from some other siding companies before contacting Benchmark, so when Dave Signorino came out to give me a quote I expected another pushy salesman with the usual high pressure sales pitch or the ''now or never'' price offer like a couple of companies had given me. Instead what I got was a detailed description of what Benchmark could do and how much it would cost, then he told me to get back with him when I made up my mind. It was such a relief not to feel pressured into making a quick decision. I knew this was the company to hire. The crew did a great job getting the siding up quickly during cold weather conditions. I did have a couple of minor problems where the siding wasn't fastened correctly, but the company was very responsive in addressing my complaints and Dave kept in touch with me the whole time to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. Overall, I was very pleased with this company's work and I would definitely hire them again.

WE ASKED THEM TO RE-ROOF WHEN WE WERE AWAY, AND IT WAS DONE WHEN WE GOT BACK. THERE WAS A SMALL ISSUE, AND THEY CAME BY AND TOOK CARE OF IT. THEY CAME ON TIME, AND THEY WERE HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE HERE. THEY WORKED AROUND OUR SCHEDULE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

I am very impressed with this company! I only wanted to see if I needed a new roof and though a few very minor problems were found(and fixed!), Steve Brown was very honest and informed us our roof should last us a few more years yet. He was very thorough in his inspection and very professional. He was also very knowledgeable about roofing. I plan on calling Benchmark when I do need to get a new roof. Thank you.

Detailed Estimate was given. Work was started and completed on a timely basis. Yard was cleaned up upon completion of work. Workers put in a full day only stopping for a 20 min lunch. Job was better than new when completed. Bill was not presented until all work was complete. Very Satisfied with process from start to finish. Thank You.

The company representative, Dave Signorino, was honest, friendly, and easy to reach. The work crew was very attentive and respectful of our property. We were very satisfied with the quality of the work, and the level of customer service we received. We recommend them without reservation.

I was very impressed with their salesmanship. They explained, in detail, the work that would be done, the precautions they would take, how long they expected it to take, and what to expect while work was being done. The price they charged was very reasonable and the warranties on both the roof and the gutter guards well exceeded any other company. The workers came everyday early and didn't stop until after it was too dark, even though it was below freezing outside. They were very professional in all that they did. I would highly recommend them anytime, to anyone who wants to have this type of work done.

Our experience with Benchmark roofing was very positive. They were able to come access the roof quickly, and were honest and told us that a simple patch was all that was necessary. We have had several very wet days since the work was completed, and all seems to be well so far.

I WORKED WITH JUSTIN IRWIN. WE TALKED 4 TIMES BEFORE I SIGNED THE CONTRACT ABOUT EVERY DETAIL OF THE JOB. THE WORK DAY HAD RAIN FORECAST FOR THE LATE AFTERNOON. THE CREW DID NOT ARRIVE UNTIL NEARLY 11 AM BECAUSE OF FINISHING ANOTHER JOB. THEY TOOK OFF THE ROOF AND HAD ABOUT 2/3 OF ONE SIDE BACK ON WHEN THE RAIN CAME EARLY. THEY TARPED IT WELL. THE NEXT DAY WAS RAINY ALSO. WE LEFT ON A WEEKEND TRIP. THE ROOF WAS FINISHED WHEN WE RETURNED. BECAUSE THE SHINGLES LAID ACROSS THE PEAK FOR TWO DAYS, HOLDING THE TARPS, THEY HAVE A BIT OF A WARP RIGHT NOW THAT WILL STRAIGHTEN IN THE HEAT NEXT SUMMER. CUTTING THE RAFTER BEAMS TO VERTICAL FOR THE NEW GUTTERS AND SOFFITS WORKED OUT REALLY WELL. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH HOW THE CREW DID THIS. THEY INSTALLED OUR NEW PORCH LIGHT ALSO. THIS TOOK ANOTHER WEEK AFTER THE ROOF WAS DONE. CLEAN UP WAS NEARLY PERFECT. BECAUSE I HAVE ANIMALS, I CHECKED THE YARD CAREFULLY AND PICKED UP SMALL PIECES THAT WERE LEFT. OVERALL, I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK.

EXCELLENT. OUR CONTACT PERSON, JUSTIN, IS TIMELY AT GETTING BACK TO YOU, AND TAKES CARE OF PROBLEMS (IF ANY) PROMPTLY! THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND ALWAYS LEAVE THE JOB SITE CLEAN AND TIDY. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

VERY PLEASED WITH ROOF AND THE PRICE. JUSTIN, ALSO WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH HELP GETTING SQUIRRELS EVACUATED AND BLOCKED FROM THE SOFFITS. NO CHARGE FOR THAT. THE ONLY COMPLAINT, (MINOR) IS THAT MY FRONT GARDEN SUFFERED QUITE A BIT, BUT LUCKILY I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TOO VALUABLE THAT WON'T BE ABLE TO RETURN OK NEXT SPRING. CLEAN-UP WAS SLIGHTLY LESS THAN PERFECT, BUT UNDERSTANDABLY AS THE ROOF WAS COMPLETED JUST BEFORE DARK.

RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO OUR CALL FOR AN ESTIMATE. RECOMMENDED A REPAIR ONLY. FOUR OTHER COMPANIES (AND OUR OWN INSTINCTS) SUGGESTED A NEW ROOF FOR THE EXTENSIVE LEAKS WE HAVE.

I THINK THE WORK AND CLEAN UP WAS GREAT, BUT I HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE WORK DONE. IT TOOK A FEW WEEKS TO GET THEM OUT, DUE TO THEM BEING BUSY, BUT I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY WERE LATE, BUT THEY CALLED IN ADVANCE TO SAY THEY'D BE LATE. THE EMPLOYEE WAS FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND POLITE. DON'T KNOW IF PRICE IS REASONABLE. IT WAS THEIR MINIMUM FOR THE JOB.

DURING ESTIMATE, TRIED TO SELL ME VENTING I DID NOT NEED. WHEN I QUESTIONED THIS, HE AGREED THAT I DIDN'T NEED IT, BUT SAID NOT TAKING THE UNNECESSARY VENTING WOULD NOT DECREASE THE PRICE.

WE WERE ACTUALLY OUT OF TOWN FOR THREE DAYS WHILE OUR ROOF WAS BEING WORKED ON. UPON RETURNING HOME, WE DISCOVERED NO DAMAGE TO THE PLANTINGS NEAR THE HOUSE NOR TO THE DRIVEWAY. WE HAD ONE MINOR MISSING GUTTER SCREEN WHICH WAS REPLACED WITHIN A DAY OF OUR NOTIFYING BENCHMARK. THE ROOF HAS NOW BEEN STRESSED THROUGH SEVERAL HEAVY DOWNPOURS WITH NO NEGATIVE RESULTS. BENCHMARK'S PRICE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW ITS COMPETITOR. WE ARE EXCEPTIONALLY HAPPY WITH THIS ENTIRE EXPERIENCE.

THEY HAVE VERY GOOD WORK ETHIC, GOT THE JOB DONE IN TWO DAYS. THEY CLEAN UP VERY NICELY AND WERE CONSIDERATE OF THE YARD AND THE PATIO. NOTHING AROUND THE HOUSE WAS DAMAGED.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. QUALITY RESULTS. ONE OF THEIR PEOPLE DROVE TO AN ADDRESS I PROVIDED, BECAUSE I INDICATED I LIKED THE LOOK OF A ROOF IN THE AREA. HE USED THE INFORMATION TO RECREATE THE FEATURES I WANTED ON OUR HOME, & I VERY MUCH APPRECIATED THE EXTRA EFFORT.

THEY WERE VERY MESSY WITH THE TEAR OFF. THEY DID NOT COVER MY GARAGE WITH TARP. THEY DENTED THE DECK BADLY. IT WAS VERY MESSY. I HAVE CALLED THEM BACK TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE NEVER CALLED US BACK. THE OVERALL THING WAS THAT I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THEM AT ALL AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT TO ANYONE. ALSO RUINED A PIECE OF MY GUTTERING WHICH THEY DID FIX. THERE WAS NO SUPERVISION ON THE JOB. I EVEN CAUGHT ONE GUY URINATING ON MY SIDE LAWN. WE ALSO HAVE A POND THAT THEY STATED THEY WOULD COVER. THEY NEVER DID COVER IT AND MANY SHINGLES ENDED UP IN THE POND WITH MY COY FISH.

COST WAS $200.00 MINUS THE 10% DISCOUNT FOR ANGIE'S LIST. THE GUY WHO DID THE WORK, CAME ON THE DAY HE CALLED AND TOLD ME HE WOULD, BUT I FOUND IT HARD TO GET ANYTHING SCHEDULED WITH THIS COMPANY. I HAD TO CALL A FEW TIMES TO GET SOMEONE TO CALL ME BACK ON SCHEDULING THE WORK.

WHEN I CALLED, I WAS OFFERED TWO OPTIONS: 1) SCHEDULE A SERVICE CALL FOR $200/FIRST HOUR + $56/ADDITIONAL HOUR OR 2) PAY $35 FOR AN ESTIMATE. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE EXPLAINED THAT, IF I SCHEDULED A SERVICE CALL AND THE REPAIRMAN WASN'T ABLE TO DO THE REPAIRS ON THE SPOT, HE'D THEN GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE AT NO COST (NO CHARGE AT ALL FOR THE VISIT). I CHOSE THE SERVICE CALL AS A REASONABLE OPTION AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK. THERE WAS A MIXUP, AND THE REPAIRMAN HAD TO COME OUT ONE DAY LATER THAN SCHEDULED. THE REPAIRMAN (STEVE) CAME ON-TIME FOR THE RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AND WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL; HE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT WAS WRONG AND HOW HE PROPOSED TO FIX IT. HE WASN'T ABLE TO DO THE REPAIRS THEN BUT SCHEDULED THEM FOR 2 DAYS LATER AND GAVE ME A PRICE ESTIMATE ON THE SPOT. (NO CHARGE FOR HIS VISIT SINCE HE COULDN'T DO THE REPAIRS THEN). A 2-MAN CREW ARRIVED 2 DAYS LATER, AS SCHEDULED, AND COMPLETED THE WORK QUIETLY AND QUICKLY.

THE WORKERS ARE LATINO. ONLY ONE WORKER SPOKE ENGLISH ENOUGH TO CONVERSE, BUT WE GOT ALONG FINE.
