Benchmark Roofing

I was very satisfied with the insulation. They use someone else. The price was $800 but there was something wrong and they had to take something down so it ended up being $1000. They cleaned up everything and noticed that I had some problem that needed repairing so they brought it to my attention and fixed it. Their price was comparable to other that I had got. There was a little confusion on the time but it was not something big. I would use them again.

They were excellent! They cleaned everything up. I was thinking of calling them for siding when the weather got better. They do siding as well.

They are great and I hadn't used any other roofing company before. I am very satisfied with their service. They came in and did the estimate on time. They showed up on time for the estimate. The crew came in and finished up the job the same day. There were a few other things other than roofing that we asked them to fix and they fixed it for us. They didn't even charge us. We also felt that the price charged by them was reasonable. I would highly recommend them to my friends. I didn't get any estimates from any other company and so, I wouldn't be able to comment much on their price. Their quality as well as their service is excellent. They were very responsive, as they called me back right away. I would definitely use their services in the future.

Considering they were installing the roofing in December I was heistate about it surviving the high winds of the winter since the shingles didn't get a chance to seal. Sure enough, in February a quarter of the roofing was blown off. They immediately came back out and replaced all that was damaged and cleaned up the yard. They also cleaned up the neighbor's yard as well since some shingles did land there. It has been a year since they completed the job and I'm still pleased with them. I would certainly hire them back.

We awoke one Sunday morining with water coming through a lighting fixture on our second floor. We made a call to the emergency number for Benchmark and they responded within an hour. Even though they could have come out on a Sunday and charged extra for the call, they advised us that this was a repair that could probably wait until that Monday. (Thank you for being so honest and saving us some money!) They put up emergency tarps to cover the leaking area that Monday and were timely and thorough with the inspection and estitmates. They comleted the job within a week and did a great job. The crew even put back up our Christmas lights along the eves that had to come down. We would not hesitate to recommend Benchmark Roofing to anyone.

They were punctual to the appointment and they seemed to give us the information we needed to make a decision. We have not made a decision, but this company did a great job convincing us that they knew what they were talking about.

They were the lowest bid; we thought it was reasonable. They used high quality GAF materials, dimensional shingles. They picked days were there was nice weather several days in a row. They did a beautiful job and I highly recommend them. They were very polite and great to work with. They really stuck to their task. They were also very careful about safety; I was very impressed.

They were very nice to work with. We will use this company in the future.

They came out fairly quickly to give me the estimate. Once we had confirmed a price they were able to schedule the appointment. The work went well, however they follow up and finishing of the project took longer than I would have liked. The first job had to be redone, because they were unable to repair the leak.

It started off rough because the adjuster we had quit the company so I had to contact them again. Jamie came out and picked up when we left off. He helped us work with the insurance and they got the roof done. They did a great job. The price was in line with other companies. I would use the company again if I needed to.

Benchmark sent out someone to inspect the roof, found the leak and gave us an estimate. We hired them. They came out the next week and fixed it. Very professional workers.

They did a fine job. They did keep in touch with me on a constant basis to let me know about the progress that they were making. They were very helpful, as I was dealing with my insurance company at the same time. I didn?t compare their price with any other company. I will use their services in the future as well.

I wanted the posts to be done in black metal but the handyman couldn?t find that kind of a post for me. Mr. Steve Brown represented Benchmark Roofing. They have won Angies list super service award 2007. They are well recommended by better business bureau and masterelite. We decided to go with Benchmark because they could do different things like gutters, etc and that way we could get the black metal on the post. My previous posts were wooden and painted. Mr. Steve Brown put wooden posts on and then he covered it with black metal. I have black gutters, black sockets and everything else as my house is trimmed in black. That is why I wanted black metal and I did not want to paint the wood. He came out and gave us the estimate so we went with him. The price was good. The quality of work was good. He got back to us. He came out and gave us the estimate. He informed us that he was busy on another job so he said he would come out in a week or so. He came out and did the work as he had said he would.

Everyting turned out very well. It was an insurance claim, and they did a good job. They were not as responsive as I had hoped, as I had to make two telephone calls to get responses from them. But they were here when they said they would be and they were professional. I had a few minor issues, which they took care of right away. I was happy with them them overall and would use them gain.

My experience with them went well. They were very professional and punctual. I would use them again in the future.

After agreeing on several details, Benchmark Roofing tried to cut many corners during my roof replacement job. Ice guard was not installed to code so over 150' of shingles were installed then had to be removed to bring the job up to code. New flashing around chimney was not done right the first time so I had them tear off what they had done and start over. Replacement OSB was not done right the first time so again, shingles had to be removed and done again. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had working with any company. If I had not watched their every move, the job would not have been done right.

They were okay throughout the project, however I found a leak about four weeks ago and they have yet to come out and do any repairs or look anything over.

We contacted Benchmark roofing to install a dryer vent in garage attic/roof.We chose them since they had recently completed re-roofing entire condo complex and felt they would be reliable. Steve showed up to look at job and give us a quote. He called back same day and said the price would be 175.00, which we accepted and scheduled installation date. After the job was completed Steve gave us a bill for 250.00 stating his boss said they had a 250.00 minimum service charge. I paid the bill and contacted the office, who said I needed to deal with installer since he was a sub contractor. They may need to change their advertisment to say they use sub contractors & have min job charges. Needless to say, we did not get any resolve to the overcharge and did not hear from them again. I was pleased with the installation but not with the lack of professionalism from Steve and company. The original quote for 175.00 should have been honored.

They are an excellent company. They were very responsive, and they cleaned up after themselves. They came when they said they would, and they did the work in less than 3 days. Their price wasn?t very cheap, but it wasn?t very expensive either. We had some leaking issues that took a couple of years to resolve. The problem was exacerbated by the storms.

We were please with Steve Brown and his constancy in communication. It made this whole process go a lot more smoothly. We had one issue with a language barrier problem. The workers were standing around and I went to see what was going on. Since we couldn't understand each other, I called Steve. It appeared a dumpster was on its way over and the crew was waiting for it to dump the old roof. We did include some upgrades to this job that the insurance would not take care of. We were very happy with the results and would refer this company to anyone needing roof work. We would also use this company in the future if needed.

They said there were four layers of shingles on the house when I knew there was not. They insisted that there were and the house is only ten years old.

Storms damaged the shingles on our roof and it was leaking. I got a written estimate from Benchmark. Due to the large number of roofs that had been damaged in our area, they told me it would be a few weeks before they could start the job. As I'd noticed pallets of shingles sitting in many of my neighbors driveways for weeks this didn't surprise me. About 3 weeks to a month later however, they called and made an appointment to do the work. They were very careful to protect my plants and left no garbage, roofing nails, etc. in my yard after they were done. They used top quality GAF shingles, unlike some of the unbranded ones used on other jobs done in my neighborhood.They were true to their estimate and our roof looks great!

The gentleman arrived on time and completed the work in a very short period of time.

After I called the estimator arrived promply. Very pushy about signing the contract immediately. My elderly neighbor was counting on me to find the best company as he would pick the same company I approved. The estimator went on both roofs and took all measurements. I called next day and told company we had choses them due to the excellent ratings from Angie's list and BBB. When the estimator arrived the next day he could not seem to fing any of his measurements so he wrote down exactly what my insurance adjuster wrote. The company came withn a few days and did both roofs. They did bring 2 crews but only one dumpster. Only brought one set of pneumatic tools and asked my neighbor to hook into his power. Plus asked my neighbor to use his restroom and did so numerous times, both upset my neighbor. My neighbors called my 3 times telling me all the roofers were asleep on my front lawn. I had to leave work and indeed they were. The neighbor stated they also took a very long lunch. I called the project manager and he came but still 2 crews of workers slept on my lawn. I had made it VERY clear when I signed the contract that I was getting ready for city garden show. They promised all my flowers and lawn would be protected. That was a joke as it was an absolutely disaster contruction zone. I also told the estimator that my driveway was new and to please keep big trucks off. Well the dumpster damaged the driveway and it was full of heavy work trucks that also damaged. My grass was damaged and my neighbors yard had huge brown areas. One side of my house had all the flowers damaged. It took 10+ hours to do my roof. After the roofers left I pulled my car into the garage and then noticed the garage floor was covered with roof nails and roofing dirt. I called the project manager and he sent some of the crew back to clean up the nails. I was so overwhelmed that I cleaned the garage for an hour, then quit and finished the next day and it took several hours.Immediatly the day the roof was done the estimator called and said the size of the roof was underestimated and more money was needed. I told him he was up on the roof and did the estimate and I would not authorize any more money. I plan on calling the company and reporting the estimator. He brings his wife on all his jobs whick I think is strange. I was upset for weeks with the company

They were responsive at a time where they like every other local roofer was being inundated with calls due to the recent wind storm (hurricane). there rep responded quickly and educated me that I did not have partial damage on my roof as the insurance company's adjuster had told me but we needed the whole roof replace . They worked for me with the insurance company and all was agreed to replace our whole roof. I paid half of the estimate as a deposit for the work. It took two months before the did the work, which was done efficiently and professionally. Things then did not go so well. At the time the weather turned very cold and I was concerned about the new shingles sealing. Benchmarks representative assured me (verbal) that it would be OK. I insisted on the guarantee to be in writing and refused to pay the balance until I got one. Three months passed and I began to call them, concerned at their patience. It took multiple calls before Benchmark office staff got involved and moved us along. In the meantime I discovered several issues that we unresolved; a ridgevent that was omitted, a ripped screen. There new rep quickly resolved these issues and we got our paperwork and they got the balance of their money. A week later we experienced a rain stor and I noticed our gutters overflowing with water. After the rain I examined the gutters and discovered the were full of nails and debris from the roofers. We had some damage from the jam to our garage wall. end
