My experience was good. They were on time for the appointment. There were two people here doing work. They were no high pressure sales to do any additional work.

Was told it would be $150 to give the estimate.

Assessment of work needing to be done was thorough and accurate. We felt the cost was high and inflexible We were not satisfied with the quality of the painting of the fascia board . Subcontractor did not show up as scheduled on first day Company personnel had another contractor on the job by the mid- afternoon of same day Subcontractor was professional but did not show up to work on weekend as scheduled after work began However the main contact person came mid-day to notify us that his worker had called off sick that day The work crew worked steadily and was professional . The supervisor was very experienced and did an excellent job. Great at cleaning up daily. It seemed as if there was excessive material ordered, which was retained by the company. We assume this was adjusted in the final bill.

they did great job. removed all debris from gutters, checked downspouts. inspected roof, provided pictures of some potentail trouble areas that need repaired.

It got rescheduled couple of times. After that I tried to call the number from which I received a call for rescheduling and it went unanswered 2-3 times and did not receive any call back. Then I called the number listed on angie's list and came to know the technician who called me left the company. After that scheduling & actual work went fine.

Prompt and courteous service, done quickly and completely.

I have used Ascent a few times in the past and have been very pleased. A few glitches occurred this time. I tried contacting the company thru their website and got no response. After a few days I called, left a message and finally got a call back. When the person came out I told him I wasn't sure if I needed a new gutter or drip edge. He checked it out and told me the gutter was angled wrong and needed to be replaced and that there was no drip edge. He gave me a quote and I had the company do the work (subcontractor). When the work was completed the person told me that I should probably have a drip edge installed. I assumed that this was part of the original quote, since I it early on. When I got a new quote for the drip edge , I thought it was pretty high, probably due to the fact that it required a second visit. I am pretty sure if it was done with the gutter that the cost would have been minimal (per the sales person the material cost was about $20). I am a little disappointed in the service this time compared to the prior 2 times that I used this company.

They were supposed to clean my gutters but they said they didn't really need any work done on them. They were here and gone within an hour and didn't offer to refund me or anything like that.

We had a leaking window in our master bedroom and a couple of companies came out and looked at it and the roof and were not able to identify what was going on. We then called Ascent Roofing after getting nowhere with the first couple of companies. LeRoy from Ascent came out to the house and quickly diagnosed that the gutter needed drip edge in the corner and that the window needed to be flashed and sealed along the top. He took pictures to show me what was going on, he followed up with a quick estimate, and then was out to do the work not long after. He was punctual, detailed, and professional. They did a good job and charged a fair price. I definitely plan on using Ascent the next time I have any issues with my roofing, gutters, or windows.

Excellent job. Easy to deal with. worked with solar installer to put solar fan in and added extra venting when they saw it was necessary without increasing estimate. Crew finished in one day and cleaned up completely.

I purchased an Angie's list special for 2 hours of roof maintenance for $99. Scheduling went fine, and they came out within a week or two of the purchase. The technician showed up around 10 minutes after the scheduled time. I spoke with him about what I would like to see done and he got to work. From that moment on, he was on his cell phone. I checked in on him to make sure he was okay (since he was working up so high) 3 times over the next hour, and he was walking back and forth on my roof talking on his cell phone. When we was done on the roof and putting away his tools, he was still on his cell phone. It took him about 15 minutes to "put his ladder on the truck" (he was holding the ladder while speaking on his cell phone). From the time he rang my doorbell to the time he drove away was about 1 hour. I won't fault him for finishing early; if there wasn't two hours worth of work, then that's fine. But I do question how detailed he could have been with the distraction of the phone, and I'm not sure of the quality of work he provided because of it either.

The repair person was supposed to adjust a gutter so that water would flow out better. The gutter did not have the proper angle to drain properly. The installer moved it a little but told me he could not get it adjusted to drain completely. I had a leak where two gutters came together and asked that he fill in the area that was leaking. When he left, the gutter was still leaking. I would not use this company again. While the repairman did try to improve the operation of the gutters, overall I didn't see much improvement.

The tech was prompt, listened to my issues and concerns, and acted accordingly. He was very knowledgeable and willing to share all that information with me. He addressed all my concerns and brought issues to my attention that I did not know existed. He even went as far as to provide me with before and after pictures of the areas he fixed. When I need the roof replaced in a couple of years I know who I'm calling.

Ascent started working with in August of 2012 after our roof sustained significant wind damage. Salesman Tom worked with our insurance adjuster to document the damage and come up with a like-for-like replacement estimate. We received direct payment from our insurance company, and then we were able to work with Tom to get exactly what we wanted for our new roof, and paid the difference in cost. We upgraded to higher quality shingles, added a ridge vent to improve the efficiency of our A/C, and fixed an issue with the plywood under the shingles in one spot where it had bowed in significantly. We paid 30% down after everything was settled with the insurance company and pricing around the beginning of September. The rest would be due only when we were completely satisfied. Most of the work was done within a week or two. In the process, they identified a section of the roof that really needed the plywood underneath to be replaced. This added $350 to the price. Then we had a few issues with the ridge vent sticking out at an odd angle. They came back not only once but twice until it was to our liking. And in the end, they even painted our existing (hat, kitchen, chimney, etc) to match our house's trim at no extra cost. Final payment was made in October 2012. Just over a year later (Nov 2013), we got a leak above our kitchen and called Ascent out to investigate. They found a piece of flashing that was not properly affixed to the house. Despite the 1-yr warranty on their workmanship having expired, the flashing was secured and re-sealed, and they even came inside and painted the spot in our kitchen that had paint damage. About 6 months later (June of 2014 - about 19 months after work was completed), the leak returned in the same spot, and owner Brent Cornwell came out to take a look. Turns out that this piece of flashing had come away from the house again, and that was due to it having been improperly installed. According to Brent, the stucco needed to be ground down so that the flashing could sit flush with the house. The cost to do this was about $800, and it was not part of the original estimate on our house back in 2012. That said, we decided to try to get a supplement from our insurance company to address the issue, but it was denied. Essentially, the flashing didn't *need* to be replaced due to the original wind damage, and Ascent was not the company that had installed that piece of flashing in the first place (someone else did it wrong). Despite the fact that Ascent was not obligated to make the repair, Brent agreed to do it for us at NO COST if we agreed to paint the kitchen this time around. I happily agreed, and they saved us $800 fixing someone else's bad work for free.

We bought the $99 Angie's Deal package. The inspection went very smoothly and appeared to be very thorough. The worker even pulled the shingle strips out of the crawl space for me. There was no hassle and "no pain" - exactly what you'd expect from professionals.

The workmanship was great. He was a great guy and he was on time.

Fine, at first. Skylar met with my husband on 6/27/14 and did an initial review the two and a half car garage roof. He was told about the locations of the leaks at that time. He said this would be an easy job for the guys and they worked out a contract with discounts. My first concern was when I saw the 'contract'. All that it should was the material, quantity, and unit footage. There were not material costs or labor. All went well when the crew showed up until they 'found' the part of the existing wood needed replacing. They hadn't included an estimate of wood replacement or installation, but we figured how much can four long 1" x 12" x 16' boards cost? The rest of the work continued on the other side of the roof, but work for the one section had to stop for about an hour until one of the guys came back with the needed planks. During that day, the crew started rushing because it looked like inclement weather. When they finally finished, the sun came back out. They were good about the clean up and haul away of the old materials. A couple of days , Skylar came back and presented my husband with a new adjusted contract that added on an additional $240. There were no copies of receipts provided or a breakdown of the cost of the material or labor on this one either. There was not enough material or labor used to add an additional $240.00. My husband questioned how much the wood and additional labor ended up costing and Skylar couldn't (or wouldn't) tell him how it came to be $240.00. This is not the experience I would have expected from an Angie's List provider! This was only the garage roof we had done, but next year we're looking to have the main house roof replaced, but after this, we will contact other roofing companies for estimates and much more detailed contracts.

Missed appointments but did the job.

Service was completed in one day with a very efficient crew. They were very clean and polite.

Great job. Was on time, repaired a few shingles, did some caulking, and even cleaned out a gutter.

We're not going to do the job until next year because we found a repair that needs to be done. We called them and told them that we had selected them as the vendor. Their quote was under $10000.

Everything went as scheduled.

It turned out OK. Scheduling was fine. Communication wasn’t the best but it turned out OK.

My son was very pleased. They cleaned up beautifully. They started early in the morning and worked all day until they were done. The insurance paid for it. They came on time and cleaned up properly. They were fairly priced and pleasant to deal with as well. They were very hard workers.

The roofing person showed up exactly on time. He checked out some concerns I had and sealed the areas that needed it. I liked his demeanor when I first met him. I will definitely recommend him to all family and friends that may be in the need of a roofer to check out the condition of their roof. J. Allen
