+ -1 moreVery good communication with us. Job was fully completed exceptionally well and better than we expected. Corrected any issues immediately- even in horrible weather! They also referred us to other contractors if they could not do the job themselves. However, 99% of the work needed was completed by Ascent thoroughly. Only issue we had was trying to communicate with a few technicians that did not speak English well. It was hard understanding what they were telling us and vice versa.

+ 0 moreTheir crew showed up around 6:45am in the morning as I was leaving for work and started immediately. They were still finishing up when I got home around 5:30pm. My wife was home all day and stated that the roofers were working hard all day. The roof looks great and I did not find any debris from them left in my yard so they also did a great job cleaning up. I believe I ended up paying $1500-$2000, but that was all from my insurance deductible plus I had to pay about $500 on top of it because I had a lot of boards that were rotting out and needed to be replaced. I would definitely use Ascent Roofing again in the future and recommend them.
Description of Work: After a storm, I had some water damage on my bathroom ceiling. My roof was about 20 years old so I didn't know if insurance would cover it. Ascent Roofing came out and documented all the damage including pictures of the interior and exterior. They then filed the claim for me with my insurance carrier. They came out and met the insurance adjuster at my house while I was at work and to my surprise insurance covered the roof despite being as old as it was. I have no clue how much credit if any should go to Ascent Roofing for getting my insurance to cover it, but I'm very happy with them!

Ascent was readily available for scheduling, and proactively rescheduled when weather did not cooperate. + -1 moreIt was crazy. I did not use them. The estimate was way over the top. I got the repairs done that I needed done for a fourth what their estimate was. The person that did it was the Roof Medic, Tony West. I came out and had them look at some siding and stuff. They look at the siding. They gave me an estimate of almost $2000 and Tony came out and did it, I believe that it was somewhere in the range of $300 that he charged me to fix it. Now, I grant you they will have to take off a whole lot of siding and replace it, but it didn't need to have that done. Tony said, "We can patch that and you won't even notice this". And, he did patch it and you didn't even notice it. The guy was really nice. He was very helpful, but the price was crazy. The customer service is fine, but the price was way way out. They were very prompt.

Description of Work: Tonya and I communicated, scheduled repair appointment, but upon roofer coming out it appears we need more shingle bundles than expected and at a much higher cost, around $600.

Description of Work: We had a gutter issue and called ascent to take care of it. The owner, Brent, came out and while on the roof found some hail damage. He suggested that we contact our insurance company and file a claim. Brent came out and met the adjuster on the roof and spent quite a while showing him the damage. The claim was approved and we got a new roof. The crew got the job done in one day did a very good job of cleaning up when they finished.

Description of Work: This company was supposed to come out and give us an estimate for a repair. Obviously they weren't real interested in doing a repair because their representative never bothered to call or show up for our appointment. I called the office, and they apologized for not showing up, but could not give a reason for the no call/no show. Surprised at the "A" rating if this is how they conduct their business. I received a call from Brent the same day of the "no call/no show". He was very apologetic, and did send us an apology letter with a $50 gift card. He stated he does not do business this way, and hoped we would give his company another chance. We had scheduled another estimate with another roofing company, and were not real comfortable with their estimate or explanation of needed repair. I called Brent directly and set up another appointment for an estimate. He came out himself and completed a very thorough inspection of our roof and gutters. He was able to provide very detailed pictures and explanations of a few things that needed repair. We found out that our original concern we had from a home inspection, was not an issue. This was pretty amazing considering we had estimates from other companies ranging from $400 to $2400 for something that didn't need fixed! Brent sent crews out to fix some cracked shingles, and correct a drainage issue with one of our gutters. All of his employees were very polite and professional. We are very satisfied with the work that was done.

+ 0 moreI called this company because I received such a high estimate from another company and wanted a 2nd estimate. They gave me an estimate of $300 to fix gutters that I suspected didn't have a drip edge. That was the problem. The drip edge was there but was installed improperly. They took $50 off of the cost of the work. Mike Dent was the person that came to do the estimate. He called me to tell me that the work had been done (I wasn't home when they came) and what the cost was. I asked for an invoice and it was sent to me a few days later. 2 weeks after I received it Mike came and knocked on my door (I was home sick and didn't answer) then he came back the next evening and knocked on my door again and wanted to know when I would be paying the invoice. A phone call could have sufficed. I emailed Tonya in the office about my concern of someone showing up to my house unannounced and didn't receive a response to my email. I paid the invoice a few days later. The work they did was fine but I don't know that I would hire them again because of the unprofessional way the billing was handled and the lack of response to my concern.

Despite being asked to ensure the gutters were snug against the roofline, they didn't do this the first time. Without complaint, they came out a second time and remedied the situation. Also, there was no roof inspection the report until they were asked to provide one, but they did.

The only hiccup was that I had asked for pictures to be taken when the work was done (we were not home when it happened-we had already paid for services), and they did not send those. They went back on the roof and sent pictures when we asked again :).
Description of Work: We needed two new seals for our water pipes that stick out of our roof because they had cracked and we were getting small leaks into the house. We also had a few blown off shingles that they repaired.

+ 0 moreIt wasn’t too bad. The only thing wrong is that though they did the work it is still leaking but it stopped leaking for a while. The trouble I had with them was that I found it difficult getting my money to them. I tried getting to them but they had 3 or 4 different number and whenever I called I could not get them. The man was decent in doing the work but the secretary was the problem. We did not have a very heavy rain till recently and that is when I found out that it is still leaking. I started to really choose another one. One was well known but I thought that they would probably be too busy and too important to do this work. Ascent Roofing seemed like a smaller business and it was right in my area. So that is why I went ahead and chose them. It was leaking in 2 different sections and it did stopped leaking in one section. But in the second section it still leaks. I paid Angies List $149 although the total was $ 278. He was never condescending, no harshness in his tone or anything. I don’t think I would use them again. I think I would go for the bigger contractor I would try them.
Description of Work: They repaired the chimney, fixed the leaking section of the roof, and fixed loose gutters.

Price wise, they were about average but they did the whole job in one day, including the roof on the Barn. About 11 Mexicans were the work crew. But they worked non stop till done.

+ -1 moreNo further details. Update: I was contacted by the company owner who apologized and explained that the representative that dealt with me initially was no longer with his company. He was well spoken and I truly felt that he was concerned for his company image that the initial interaction left with me. Mistakes happen, I would therefore call this company again in the future because the owner was responsive and took appropriate action to see that this doesn't happen again. I wouldn't hesitate to call Ascent Roofing in the future.
Description of Work: Didn't show up. Employee of Ascent stated that there was a miscommunication between he and the office. He asked me to contact him directly for scheduling rather than going through the office. I re-scheduled with him, then later called the office to tell them what happened and that I wanted to cancel the appointment altogether. Office receptionist did not seem to get that a customer is not going to sign on for their service when they can't even make appointment communication between their office and their representatives work. This is not someone I want to do business with.
