Arrived on time for estimate and quoted a competitive price

We haven't had the job performed yet. Terry showed up for the estimate exactly when he said he would. He was very professional and provided a lot of details about their process. He provided the estimate in a timely manner before leaving. I felt very confident of this company and their honesty and abilities.

Overall, I was very happy with the work that was done. We agreed on a price and Spivey delivered to that price. They removed all the material from the porch, cleaned everything and painted the deck within a week of estimate. I would use this Company in the future for any exterior or interior painting needs.

Everything went very smoothly and the results were excellent. The sidewalks and patio look great and the gutters are very clean, including the inner rim area that the rain must roll smoothly around to drop into the gutter. All leaves and pine needles were removed and several branches were cut back. The woodpecker holes have been filled and repainted to match the siding on the house. One area underneath several tall pine needles was particularly stained and dirty and it looks fine now. Most of the work was done the first day in several hours and they returned promptly the next day to finish staining the woodpecker holes. I couldn't be happier.

We used Spivey's originally to paint our house and they did such a great job that after we had our chimney repaired, we called them back to have them repaint the chimney. They responded and scheduled us quickly. They started early and finished the job quickly. They went the extra mile to repaint the whole chimney (not just the repaired areas) to ensure the whole chimney looked uniform. We were, again, incredibly pleased with our experience with Spivey's. They did a fantastic job.

They were flexible, professional, and easy to work. They were flexible on the time they came out to do our free quote, gave us a clear and reasonable quote, started and finished the job quickly, and communicated progress throughout the project. Spivey's was always punctual and communicated well. The house was power washed first. All of the aluminum siding was painted on the first day! This was quite a pleasant surprise to us. The wood trim, gutters, downspouts, garage door, and 3 entrance doors, were completed in the next 2 days. Terry and Arron were very efficient and professional. My wife and I are very pleased. We are having Spivey's paint our backyard storage shed to match the house.

The company owner came out one evening to do the quote. It was more than competitor chains, but we were willing to pay more to employ a local small business with good quality. The work was very high quality and completed quickly. The owner was prompt in responding to emails / calls. I will contact again the next time we need work done, whether it is painting or other jobs they do

Received a timely quote but selected another provider.

We used him for about 3 years or so. We're no longer going to use him. I live in a small condominium complex consisting of multi-unit buildings with cedar siding. In 2014 we found Spivey Premier Painting on Angie's List and asked for a bid to paint the exterior of one of our buildings. Basically we use 2 colors. A base color and a trim color and we have cedar siding, so he had to replace some damaged boards. We got a timely response from him and a bid. He wasn't the lowest bid but we trusted him from being associated with Angie's List. So we ordered him a contract and we were pleased with the quality of the work and the time it took to complete the work. In 2015 we had another building that we wanted to paint, only this building was much larger, about 1/3 bigger. We did not bid out the job since we established a relationship with Terry & his son we awarded the contract to him. Again we were pleased with the cost, quality of workmanship and the schedule. So in 2016 we painted another building similar to the one we did in 2015 and again we did not bid out the job since we had this relationship with Terry and his son. It was strong, we were compatible and we were working together with him pretty well. So with this building we requested that we wanted to paint the prime doors which we had not done previously. Previously we've let homeowners take care of their own front door. Unfortunately, homeowners weren't taking care of their front door so we said as an association we better assume this responsibility. So his bid did include the added work and material and he made contact with our treasurer at that time requesting a partial payment which was typical. We used a progressive payment method, which the treasurer paid the requested amount. During that conversation with our treasurer he says that she stated the prime doors were only to be power washed and not painted. When we checked back with our treasurer she said no she never said that to Terry. We were thinking that if she did make that comment, he should have then noted that on the contract, which it was not. So the building was painted to our specifications, but when the prime door was questioned, that's when the board member coordinating the job found out that the prime doors were not going to be painted. Terry sent an email to another board member, who he thought was our president, asking to do business with him, rather than the other board member he was coordinating with, which was me. So that board member, who he thought was our president, did contact him via email & never received any response, and we have yet to receive a response from Terry. We've paid him in full, including the fee for painting those prime doors which he has not done. Since we have not been able to resolve the issue and have not been able to talk with Terry, we're not going to do business with him anymore. He's not the cheapest, but he's not the highest on price. We never held him to a schedule. It's exterior painting so weather plays a roll. We had planned on using him again if we could have resolved this issue with the doors more favorably.

It was great. Spivey's arrived early, completed the job in just a few hours, and the house looks fantastic. No more mold, dirt, or mildew. Awesome job! I would definitely recommend them to others.

Throughout the work, he was professional and provided updates of the progress and answered any questions. It was amazing the difference when our pavers were professionally powerwashed—can see the original colors again. The painting looked thorough--with the repairs and the prep work followed by the application of quality paint, I feel it will look great and last for many years to come. I was very pleased that he also started my job early as it was scheduled later in the fall and a little worried about unfavorable weather coming. They also did a nice job of the cleanup around the house and trimmed some tree limbs away from the painted trim that I couldnt trim myself. There was an unexpected issue of the powerwashing not removing all of the very old paint on a basement wall area and the additional foundation cleaning was done at a reduced rate. A bonus was being able to use the AAA member discount that was advertised on his website which I hadnt noticed other painting companies offering this.

We recently had some repairs done on the cedar trim of our house and we hired Spivey's to paint the trim. Terry made some good suggestions re: powerwashing, gutters and color recommendation for the trim. We waited several weeks due to his busy schedule but he told us up front what the timetable would be. He notified us a day or two ahead of time when they planned to be at our house; they completed the job in a timely manner and left the premises very neat.

It went fine. Mr Spivey and his son arrived at the agreed upon time and did a thorough and efficient job, finishing the work in about 3 three hours. Because of the rainy and humid summer there was a lot more mildew than usual and that is completely gone. They even cleaned up an area under the deck where chipmunks had set up housekeeping last year and left behind a lot of small stones, pebbles and dirt. The house looks great and we are ready for the winter.

Mr. Spivey and his son were very meticulous and always kept me informed of their progress. I was notified a few days before they began and when they'd arrive each day they worked.

From beginning to end, service was very professional and helpful. I called to get an estimate and received a timely call back and appointment for the estimate. Estimate was given on the spot and I was walked around my home to have it explained to me. I accepted the estimate. The approximate dates of the work were listed on the estimate, which I liked. All work was done on a timely basis and in an extremely neat manner. The workmanship to me is professional and I am so pleased with how the house looks. I would definitely hire Spivey's Premier Painting again and probably will when the inside of my home needs painting.

Spivey understood my situation with the medical bill and was very kind with letting me out of the contract till I could afford to use him next year. He is a very honest and trust worthy man I am looking forward to working with him.
