Description of Work: Fixed 2 non-flushing toilets, replaced a cartridge on a leaky tub faucet, and replaced 3 exterior faucets and added ball valves to each. Chase was here for 4.5 hours working non-stop. He clearly explained what needed to be done with each situation. I was given an estimate upfront in addition to the hourly cost and an estimated time frame of 2-3 hours. The time did go longer than estimated, but Chase had to do more work than estimated. No one wants to spend money, but this was definitely worth the expense for my peace of mind. I have more plumbing projects and plan on using Pete The Plumber again and ask for Chase.

He also recommended a few improvements that could prevent repairs over the long term, without being pushy and trying to add costs. Strong work ethic! Pete worked until the job was complete.

 + -1 moreAfter 5 separate small water leaks, I was fed up with the gray plastic water pipes in our house; 5 small leaks in 11 months! So I contacted several plumbers on Angie's List for quotes. Some failed to return my call. One came out and never called with the estimate. One company quoted $6,800. A large company that does a lot of advertising said the job would cost over $11,000, but they would give me a discount on a new water heater (which I did not need). And then was Pete. Pete came to look at the job, spent an hour measuring, and then said, "Unfortunately, I'd need to open up walls to do this the right way. Let me show you the walls I'm talking about. In other words, he didn't just give me a quote. He took the time to explain exactly how he would do the job and not just the cost. The price? Just about 1/3 the price of the big company. Seemed too low to be believed, but Pete sealed the deal when he said 1) this is a fixed bid and, 2) "I'll make sure you have at least one working bathroom at the end of each day. The best thing I can say is Pete is a man of his word, even if that meant staying to 10:45 one night. It turned out that one section of the job was more difficult than he expected. But Pete did not leave until we had the promised working bathroom and shower. There was no additional cost for having to stay so late. As Pete said, "It was my estimate, my promise, so there won't be any additional cost." And then Pete was back on time the next day. Pete stood behind his estimate and his workmanship, something I appreciate, but have come not to expect these days. The highest praise I can give is that I have recommended Pete to 2 of our neighbors - both of whom used other plumbers until they tried Pete for the first time. And now one of them has Pete doing work at his son's house. Nice to have satisfied neighbors and beautiful new copper plumbing that doesn't leak. Will I use Pete again? You betcha!
