Pete the Plumber

These guys were great. Very prompt, professional and personable. Were able to fit me in almost right away and the work looks great.

Due to settling over time, the waste water line running from my home to the septic tank developed a small crack at the standpipe tee. The only obvious sign was a slight odor, although infrequently. I had the line inspected using a camera supplied by another vendor. I uncovered the line, and called Pete. His crew of Dan and Tyler were at my home the following day. They were on-time, did wonderful work, and were done in 45 minutes. (16 feet of 4" line, plus fittings, 90, and grouting new line at tank). Just great service from Pete and his crew.

We found him through Angie's List. Our experience with him was fine. He really wasn't able to do what I initially called him for, but he installed four new faucets for us and did a good job on that. The house did not have shut off valve in all the bathroom sinks because of the type of plastic plumbing that they used about thirty years ago when the house was built. The cost was only for labor, I had the materials. My experience with plumbers is not good and I think these guys were as good as a guess. We look for people to be honest with us so that we feel it's fair for what we are charged. Some other people would have done what I asked but he said it wasn't a good idea and to live with the situation. I have no complaints and I would recommend them for somebody else. Next time I need a plumbers I'll call these guys.

They had to cut a hole in the drywall to repair the leak. They found the leak right away and measured several times to make sure the hole was in the right place to prevent any more damage. They repaired the leak and then cleaned up all of the drywall dust and left our bathroom as neat as it was when they arrived. I would highly recommend this plumbing company.

The gentlemen were professional, knowledgeable, quick, clean and courteous. When they asked how I found "Pete the Plumber," with my response of Angie's List, they even reminded me of a coupon that was available for $25.00 off the price. I have found my new plumber!

Things were great with Pete the Plumber. It was excellent to the highest mark I'd give away. They came up and were very thorough. They approached the problem squarely. The price was very reasonable. I will absolutely use them again in the future if needed.

Everything about this company has been wonderful! I needed our sump pump replaced quickly before the next rain. I call this morning and Dan and Tyler were here by 1:15. Both were very friendly, neat and quick at getting the job done. I will be using Pete the Plumber for ALL of my plumbing needs from now on!

It went very well. There were two individuals that came to my house. After I told them what the issue was, they explained how they would approach it. I stood there and watched them do the work. They were competent individuals. They replaced it in about an hour. They did a great job; it's still working. I am planning on using them again in the next month or so.

I had replaced the existing floor, and the toilet was removed. It was 20 years old, so instead of repairing it, I purchased a new one. Pete's crew, Mark and Jim, came in, were on time, courteous, and professional. The installation took 30 minutes, was a beautiful job, and they cleaned up completely when they were done. I have had Pete do several other jobs for me, including water heater/softener, and some piping, and I would recommend his company to anyone.

The two gentlemen that came to my home got my projects done in a timely and professional manner.

I found this company on Angie's List, and they offered a $25.00 discount to Angie's List members. I called and asked about their price, and if they charged a trip fee. I was told their services were a straight $115.00 an hour. We made an appointment, and two plumbers came during the window of time, calling first. I'm very happy with the work, the two men were very nice, and was extra happy when they tightened the toilet seat too. The only disappointment came with the bill. While they did take $25.00 off for the coupon, they added $15. for a "truck charge". I asked enough questions when I first called that I should have been told about this extra charge. It feels as if my coupon for $25. was actually a coupon for $10, since they added the "truck charge". It's only a $15 difference, but it's the principle.

Pete could not have been easier to work with. I called him to schedule an estimate which he came out in 2 days to provide. While he was here he decided the job was a little less than what he thought and offered to complete it that afternoon. An hour later, he was done and on his way. 6 months later, everything is still working perfectly. If all tradesman were this easy to deal with!! Thanks Pete!!

Pete's guys are courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and I feel good about having them work in my home. It snowed a little the night before they were scheduled to do the work, so Pete contacted me in the morning and let me know his guys were going to have a delayed start to their day. They showed up at the time Pete specified and got right to work. I needed to get my daughter to a tumbling class in the early afternoon that day, and I felt perfectly fine leaving the guys working while I was away. The work they did looks great and the lines have been in operation without any problems for over a month now. I feel very good about referring Pete The Plumber to anyone I can.

The services from Pete the Plumber went well. He was prompt. He was courteous. He gave me an estimate that was fair. I have not had the work done yet. The gentleman that came out was Pete himself. He was professional. He was well dressed as far as you know. He didn't come with a dirty clothes or hole in the jeans, presentable uniform. He knew what he was talking about. He was a nice guy. We have electric stove which we are changing over. I don't know how to grade the price until I get other competitive bids. I couldn’t tell as I am not a contractor in that field to tell whether or not that's a good price. The price seemed okay. I would use this provider in the future.

The main drain line leading out of my house was clogging up, causing water to back up into my basement. Dan and Jim arrived on time and were very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They asked questions about what was going on and what I knew about my drain line, and then they went right to work. After feeding about 50' of snake line down the drain pipe, they managed to completely snake out the line and remove the clog. They cleaned up after themselves, made some recommendations about how to avoid future problems, and went on their way. Everything has been flowing smoothly since then, and my basement is dry once again.

We agreed on an estimated price range prior to the work being completed. I was not available when the work was completed and it ended up being quite higher than quoted. I had asked to be called if it were more; however Pete's guy was not aware. The work was done as requested, however it was not happy with the cost. I called Pete and explained my issue. He listened, confirmed the time that the worker had spent on the job and then got back to me. The worker had charged me correctly, but he reduced the charge back to the estimated price. I was extremely impressed with Pete's willingness to stand on his quote. He had told me over the phone the he was giving a ball park and would not have a solid quote until actually seeing the job. He would have been correct in charging me the higher rate, but chose to honor the lower price. Not many people would have given me the discount. He earned a fan in me, not because of the cut in price, but due him willingly honoring his word and for quickly addressing the concern of a customer. In a time when most people are being "ripped off" at times, he restored my confidence in our tradesmen.

I had already dug it up. They did a good job. I was pleased with it. They showed up on time. I thought they took a reasonable amount of time to do repair and I was pretty pleased with it. They were very professional.

Pete was thorough, professional and friendly. I also felt that he charged a reasonable price for his services. (I've had issues with that in the past.) I would use him again for any plumbing needs.

Our warranty company responded and although they did not use Pete the Plumber . I will use this company in the future. They were responsive and I ended up paying out of pocket anyway since the warranty company would not cover the repair since the builder had not installed the toilet correctly.

I had replaced the pump myself. The directions were adamant that I shouldn't overtighten the bolt or I could crack the toilet bowl. Tighten to hand strength plus one quarter turn. Well, my hand strength and a plumber's hand strength are two different things! Pete then inspected the other two toilets I had worked on tightened them, too.
