Two men came and cleared the area in about 5 hours. The finished product was almost completely what I wanted. The only problem was that I was under the impression that we discussed doing the entire area including an area that only had a few weeds up against the fence. There must have been a miscommunication because they only completed the most overgrown area. They were friendly and worked very hard. I would hire them again, but make sure I am very clear about my expectations.

They showed up on time and did exactly the job that was asked of them. They worked hard for 8 hours and changed our yard from a mess to the envy of the neighborhood. I will be calling them to do future work and will recommend them to everyone.

It was good. They followed my instructions, they did what I asked them to do and they worked 4 hours straight.

I purchased an Angie's List "big deal" for 4 hours of landscaping work. Dan initiate the first contact and called me to schedule a day to come out (Sunday, August 11). On Saturday the 10th, Dan made a courtesy call to remind me that he would be out on Sunday - set a time of 8 AM. Dan and his associate arrived at approximately 8:10 - which I thought was very acceptable as he was coming from Mason and had never been to my home before. We walked around the yard so I could explain what I needed. Dan listened carefully and then proceeded to work. When they finished, Dan asked me to inspect what they had done to make sure I was satisfied. I asked if they could haul away the debris and he agreed to do that for a small additional charge. (This additional charge was specified in the terms of the deal.) Dan took great care with the stone edging - for example: using a level to check for accuracy. Clean up was excellent. Dan was always very polite and professional - from our initial contact to the completion of the work. I would recommend Melena Landscaping to friends and will be giving Dan a call when I am ready to have more work done. Thanks Angie's List for this "big deal" - a great way to connect with a contractor.

Melena Landscaping did a great job! They cleared the landscaping bed in the exact shape that I wanted, they provided good recommendations about where to plant each shrub, and they made it look beautiful. They mowed the lawn, and it looks much more manicured than it did with my previous lawn mowing service. They left everything clean and neat, and they completed the job in the timeframe that had been promised.

We love the service and have actually signed a contract with them for service on a regular basis. Great company.

I got one of the Big Deals for some yard work. Everything went smoothly from scheduling to the work to the clean up.

Took longer than expected. No updates on progress. Did not followup to ask if additional items on to-do list should get completed, even if at extra charge. Average job on seeding yard.

The fellows arrived and we went over the details. they set to work pulling weeds, digging up volunteer bushed and ornamental grasses. I was amazed. All was put in in their trailer for removal. There were small weeds that I agreed they spray to kill. Then they cleaned up, backpack blew the entire area and gathered all their hand tools. Very nice and hard working fellows. I will use them again!

Dan was very prompt calling me back to set the appointment and was on time. We discussed exactly what I wanted and he performed the work exactly as discussed and within the time limit we had agreed on. The site was left clean with all of the brush carried to the front for removal. His equipment was clean and in good repair. I'm sure I will be using him again.

I found Dan through an Angie's List "Big Deal" and am delighted with the job -- it exceeded my wildest expectations. Dan returned my call within an hour and was out to check out the job within 2 hours. The job was completed less than a week later. Dan is very pleasant, honest, neat and punctual. The woods were untamed when we moved in 7 years ago and I never thought they could look so good. His helpers were hard working and did a fantastic job. I would strongly recommend them and will likely use them in the future.
