Dan Melana showed up on time with 2 workers. We walked my yard and he made note of all things I wanted taken care of by him. They went to wrok prompty and hauled away all debris. I payed an extra fee for the haul away, but it was well worth it to me. I have even recommended his business to 2 of my friends.

Everything turned out great. They just cleaned up leaves around the yard since I was unable to do it. I also asked them to clean up the leaves on the low roof and they were able to get about half of them. Scheduling went great and they were able to come out within the week of me purchasing the deal. I felt the deal was a good value and I was satisfied.

I They did excellent job. I give them 5 stars! They took down some trees for me and it took the full 4 hours at that time. There were two workers that came out to take down the tree. They really worked with my schedule which I appreciated. They were very prompt and great to work with.

Melena Landscaping did a great job with the "Fall Cleanup" that I requested in January. They got rid of every last leaf that had been in the yard, and they hauled away sod pieces and tree stump grindings. The yard looks neat and clean now.

Very nice, on time, good work ethic. Owner and one assistant came and did the work even when it was raining and cold. They worked hard and cleaned up nicely. When they had used up the time we'd paid for and there was still work remaining, they were up front about how much it would cost if we wanted them to continue until the job was done. My only hesitation is with the pruning appearance of our rose bushes. They look uneven *but* given that it's winter time I have no idea if it will look fine once it's spring and the leaves are out. So I can't necessarily say it's not good because it'll be a few more months before I can tell!

Cleaned the yard for fall. They did charge extra to take yard waste away whic seemed a little bait and switch. Cleanup looks good.

These guys did a great job! I have a 1/2 acre yard with lots of trees and they ran a little over on time but they did a great job. Great value for the money!

Melena promptly scheduled the service and arrived when they were scheduled. They were able to complete the work I requested in less time than the Big Deal covered. They found other trimming to use all four hours we contracted. The crew was very professional and provided a quote for a Spring clean up as I requested. I would happily use Melena again.

They were excellent. They were professional and did exactly what I asked and did it well. I may actually call them again. I would highly recommend them. The young men were quite professional, friendly and polite.

Dan Melena is a personable young man who is a talented landscaper. He knows plants and has a terrific eye for where beds should go. His helper is also skilled. I would very much like to give him a full A, but honesty compels me to make it more like an A- or A-/B+. | We seem to have had a communication problem. For example, I told him I needed someone to get rid of the moss in my back-yard, especially the hill. He did so and planted grass on about 2/3 of the hill and didn't touch the land below the hill at all! He also brought some plants quite different from the ones he originally suggested -- though he gave a reason. | I also am not altogether happy with the bill -- though this may be largely my fault. I had thought I was on his special offer plus extras for extra time and materials. But that was not in the agreement I signed, and, worse, I had forgotten that painters were coming the day he was supposed to begin and that they would be in his way. So he lost some time and I was certainly in the wrong. | Despite these problems I am hoping to employ him again in the spring to take care of the moss-grass problems that remain.

Guys were prompt, courteous, and professional. This was a big deal coupon for leaf removal. But high wind had blown many of the leaves into the woods. So they spent some of the time sucking up the rest then offered to move a small evergreen that was being shaded out by maples to give us the full coupon time. Very Impressed with how nice these guys were and how tidy everything was. Just wish I'd had a bigger tip on hand!. Highly recommend!

This is the second time that I have used Melena Landscaping. Dan and his team are excellent. They are extremely responsive, they show up on time, and they work extremely hard. I highly recommend them.

Dan cut my lawn every other week. This was a big help because my wife was having our 2nd daughter in September and I was working extra hours at work. Dan took care of helping us out every other week by cutting our lawn.

Trimmed all bushes and perennials. Cleaned beds, raked and removed leaves. Yard looks 100% better, very neat and clean. Would highly recommend.

Dan provided a quote for the work within 24 hours. He made suggestions for the specific work and divided the quote into several parts so that the project could be scaled as needed. We discussed and clarified the project over the phone in detail and scheduled it for the following week at his convenience. I drove by the following Monday and found the entire project already completed ahead of schedule. The same day, Dan checked in with a full set of photos as I had requested. The curb appeal is very nice now. They did a great job and Dan was always ahead of the schedule he promised.

Our flower beds were down to dirt and weeds were starting to take over. We contacted Dan by phone and email on numerous occasions because we were trying to narrow our choice. He came out and we discussed what wanted and he got back to us quickly. My description does not do justice to the work involved... We have 4 large flower beds and one medium sized one. He and his crew started by using shovels to make clean, crisp edges. They made sure the weeds were gone. He used this fill to grade the landscaping away from the house. Once the beds were he planted some bushes we wanted and then spread the mulch. For each tree he did the same as the flower beds, clean, crisp deep edges and mulch. Nice circular patterns below each tree. We chose red mulch and it looks great. Tree branches were nearly decapitating me when I mowed so he raised the lower part of the tree saving my scalp. One other tree was scraping the roof and he trimmed this clear. Dan was efficient, in and out in two days and not a branch or weed or other detritus anywhere. I wish I had before and after pictures because you would not believe it was the same house. From jungle to country club.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. There wasn't any problem. He did a good job. He came the day he said he would and everything was fine. I wasn't there. It was done to my satisfaction. The deal was a savings.

Dan Melena is very responsive, a good communicator, and prompt when coming out to give estimate and when doing the work. He underestimated the amount of time it would take them to do our job, so it ended up costing more but was still reasonable. I would definitely hire them again.
