Attic Experts Insulation

I am very satisfied with the work! Their estimator was quite knowledgeable and helped me decide what to get done. I was a little taken aback by the cost, but this is the first house I have ever needed to add insultation to, and given the quality and quantity of the needed blown-in insulating materials (very large attics and the wall in between), I guess you gotta do what you gotta do! They were accomodating when I needed to reschedule the installation, and they showed up promptly the day of the job despite poor weather conditions. The installers were very polite, friendly, and hard working. I didn't realize there was the amount of junk up in the attic that there was (I have only lived here a few months), but they brought it all down for me and put it in the garage - they even shoveled part of my driveway so as not to track in snow with their equipment! They showed me pictures of the work done up in the attic since I had no desire to crawl up there myself. They finished early and completely cleaned up. Given the winter we are having and will probably continue to have, I am glad I got the work done when I did. I would definitely recommend them if this is a project you don't want to tackle yourself!

Someone from Attic Experts came out to our house to look at our existing insulation and attics and give us recommendations and an estimate for what he thought should be done. He was very professional and spent a lot of time looking at our home and explaining insulation choices. He was very honest in what he thought we did and did not need, which we appreciated. The insulation was put in yesterday by three staff who were punctual, courteous and professional. We had insulation installed in the attic above our garage, and in the roof that hangs over our porch. We had insulation added to the attics above our main house, as well. The porch roof insulation was particularly impressive, as this space is very small and cramped. Clean-up was immaculate after the job, and they even cleared one of our driveways of snow! Our house is already warmer. Highly recommended!

They were very professional, courtesy, and punctual. They explained everything to me, reviewed various options, and gave the cost difference between the options. We were very happy with their services and the results. Our home office and laundry room have always been at least eight degrees colder than the rest of the house. It is much better now.

This company did a wonderful job. While they were insulating the attic they noticed that one of the bathroom exhaust fan ducts wasn't connected. They reconnected the exhaust fan free of charge. They did a great job explaining what they were going to do. The job they did is first class, and they did a fantastic job at cleaning up when they were finished. I would recommend this company to anyone needing insulation.

Joe was simply fantastic. He went above and beyond what he needed to do. He fixed my air ducts for me after noticing they were loose.

Things went very well. We had raccoons in the attic & they had created quite a mess. Attic Experts removed all the insulation from the attic, sanitized the attic, and sealed the soiled areas with Kilz. Their quote was very competitive. We were going to have to replace some of the drywall that was saturated with the raccoon urine. At no additional charge Attic Experts bridged these area with a solid insulation so we could remove the drywall without the loose fill falling into the living area. They also blew additional insulation over these areas since there was now an air gap. I would highly recommend Attic Experts. Their work went well beyond what they had contracted to do. All dust, trash, etc. remained outside. The crew cleaned up all areas before they left. All in all a well done job and a happy consumer. Thanks Attic Experts

Wonderful experience from estimate to completion of job! Tony was delightful, honest, and informative about the insulation process. Our install date was the very next week. Jo and Marty were there on time, and completed the whole job in 2-2.5 hours. They kept me informed about each step of the job as they worked. Cleaned up beautifully, and took 3 rolls of insulation off my hands that I had stored in my closet (thinking my we would do the job ourselves). So happy we chose Attic Experts to do the job, and we noticed the extra warmth in the upstairs bedrooms of our 87 year old house that very night!!

Attic Experts did an outstanding job. From JB thoroughly explaining what was needed and the benefits of doing it, to Joe and his crew showing up right on time and doing an outstanding job installing the insulation and e-shield. I was kept informed of their progress during the day, asked to inspect their work when completed, and asked if it met my expectations. They cleaned up the work areas and more when they were done. The next day the owner, Brian, called and asked if everything went ok--job wise, crew wise, and clean up wise. This is definitely the company to go to for any insulation needs.

JB Klaene came out promptly and was able to give us a very complete bid package. He was very good about educating us on the qualities of the insulation, the cost effectiveness of the insulation and the safety aspects of his product. He was very honest in sharing his opinion and knowledge on how deeply to blow the insulation into our attic. He was very good about noting the skylights and ceiling fixtures. I think this is a very trustworthy company.

My Update: 3-8-2014 The PROOF/TRUTH was in this uncharacteristically ferocious winter. The long and extremely cold winter should have doubled my winter heating bills; instead, the opposite happened. Not only did my winter bill never get near $200 (very unusual break for winter), but I rarely needed to tinker with the thermostat. Just as Attic Experts had told me, their insulation evened out the temperature throughout my home, and I was actually able to lower the thermostat considerably as a result. Furnace ran, but very little. Isn't it nice to meet a business that actually gives you what you have paid for: the insulation is awesome. Thanks again Attic Experts! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Attic Experts just finished the insulation job on home today. I?m writing this review immediately, because it?s the weekend and I do not want to get buried with other chores ? this is way too important to write. These people are awesome. My experience with them started about two weeks ago, when I called them about my need for attic insulation, after finding them on Angie?s List. After a furnace inspection, I was told I had hardly any insulation in my attic. Anyway, I called and spoke with the Owner, Brian, who answered some of my immediate questions (I knew NOTHING about insulation whatsoever), and then he arranged for a home visit with his salesman, Tony. As I recall, they set the appointment so I would not have to miss work, and Tony came out within a day or so. He was very knowledgeable, and very frank about my attic issues. He brought samples of the insulation material, and other materials that would be used for the project. He explained all the R-values and what those meant, and he explained that I in fact had hardly any insulation in my attic. When I asked about the company?s credentials, Tony said that would not be a problem to provide. The next day, I received a call from the Owner, wanted to know if I had any more questions, and confirming my email address so that he could email me the credential information I had requested (at this point I was thinking, wow!!!!!). After I cruised the internet and had questions about adding insulation to my walls, I called and Brian spent all the time I needed to answer my questions, and then he had Tony come back out to measure and give me another quote and answer any other questions I had. There was never a phone call I made that these guys did not return. They never got impatient with all my questions, and even after I cancelled at one point, because I had changed my mind and wanted to scale down the project, Brian, the Owner, never became defensive and continued illustrating to me how his company still wanted to earn my business. Working with these people was just amazing. This company would not accept any money upfront: payment was at the end of the job. They honored their coupon without any questions or hidden gimmicks. Brian had no problem emailing me back and forth, to make sure that I was okay with the terms of the new job. This company gave me a price, gave me a general understanding as to how long it would take and what would be involved, and in the end, everything they said, happened just the way they said. The two technicians doing the installation job, arrived precisely on time this morning. Both of them were very customer-oriented and professional. Before they got started, they explained every step of the project: they examined my attic to make sure there were no surprises, and came prepared with some additional hardware stuff to re-route some vents and stuff like that. They took before and after pictures for me and sent them to my phone, and even encouraged me to peak in on the process going on in the attic. They kept taking with me the whole time, and even asked if it was okay to use my bathroom. That may seem like a small thing, but for this company, it was just another example of how they refused to take anything for granted about me as their customer, whether before, during or after the sale. This seems like the sincere way to market a company?s service: value the customer when you have them on the phone asking 1,000 questions, and give them a reason to trust that you not only ?can? do a good job but that you will ?want? to do a good job. Attic Experts never stopped trying to earn my satisfaction with the job, even after it was completed. I cannot rank them high enough! I will try to write an update, after the winter gets here and I can compare my heating bills. But Duke Energy?s prices notwithstanding, I needed the insulation and this company was wonderful to work with.

Initial estimator (J.B. Klaene) was terrific. Answered all my questions and explained particulars of the job. Crew was excellent (Joe and Marty). Showed up on time, were polite, professional and enjoyable to interact with (both are very personable). Explained the process as the work progressed, readily answered my questions. I'd recommend this firm to anyone without a moment's hesitation.

Two men came here at approximately 8:30 am. Introduced themselves to me and told me what they intended to do. They first installed Rafter Mates, Can-Lite guards and Vent Fan Extentions. They later told me they did not need to do the Vent Fan Extentions, as all of mine were vented to the outside of the home. They spent approximately 2 or 2 an a half hours in the attic. When they were finished, I got to take a look up there and was really surprised to see all the insulation. What I couldn't see, they took pictures of and than showed them to me. When they were done they cleaned up their mess, swept up the garage. I filled out some paperwork for them and by 12:00, they were gone. They did an awesome job. I know I will really see the benefits of this, this winter. Thank you Attic Experts!

The work was done as agreed upon. The crew was prompt and professional. Rulers and vent extensions were installed to all existing soffit vents as new insulation extended well above old vents. A box was built around the ceiling hatch to accomodate the depth of the insulation. E-shield installed in attic space above the garage where blown in insulation was not an option. I was impressed with the workers showing me the end result and added blown-in insulation to close a gap that I pointed out with the E-shield and wall in the garage attic.

Again, very professional and courteous.

Joe and Marty arrived 15 minutes early to do the work on a day when the temperature ranged from 80 to 90 degrees. They both introduced themselves, and Joe explained in detail what to expect. He told me how long it would take and that he would be keeping me updated as the job progressed. While Marty installed nearly 40 vents in the eaves and rulers that would show us the depth of the insulation, Joe installed reflective insulation around our skylight, over our whole house fan, and on the back of our attic access panel. Both men were sweating profusely, but they never complained about the heat. When the prep work was finished, Joe fed the insulation from the truck, through an upstairs window, and into the attic through a large hose. Marty blew in the Owens Corning pink fiberglass insulation, making sure it was level and met the R-49 value they had promised. Joe also hung my mesh blind on the skylight, even though it wasn't part of their contract. Afterward, they cleaned up completely and asked me to look into the attic with their very bright light. I could see the many eaves vents, the depth of the blown-in insulation as measured by the rulers, the wrap on the skylight, as well as the insulation box they had created to protect the product when we turned on our attic fan. Everything looked perfect and exceeded my expectations. From Anthony's sales presentation last week to Joe and Marty's installation, I was very impressed with Attic Experts. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing attic insulation.

The salesman was very informed about the product and professional in demeanor. The price was acceptable. Their installation crew kept me informed about what they were doing. They were comfortable in what they were doing which I have always found to mean they were very experienced. In addition to the 21" of fiberglass insulation, they also added insulation to 3 skylights, added eve vent extensions, 1 whole house ceiling fan and 2 bathroom vents. The job took about 7 hours. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The sales call was very convincing. The salesman was clear & had a great example of different types of isulation and the comparison. The e-shield seems to live up to the hype. Already it is only 80 in the attic and it is in the high 90's outside (plus we have a slate roof). Usually it is sweltering on the third floor (without the airconditioner on). The installers were amazing! They did not complain once! They all were very positive. They were hardworking & worked all day until the job was done. I was just impressed with their positive attitudes and work ethic. Everything looks amazing. I highly recommend them.

Attic experts were excellent, i was concerned about the mess to be made.Everything they promised, they did on time, polite, expert job done and zero mess. Great job.

They did a terrific job with insulating my attic. Their explanations were detailed and informative. Their service was courteous and friendly. Their work was clean and efficient with excellent results. In addition to blown in insulation they added baffles to my soffit vent (which were previously covered). They repaired the screens to my gable vents and cleared an opening above my attic trap entry board with side foam panels and a fiberglass roll attached above. They even removed an unnecessary beam that was blocking access. Now there's some nice ventilation that was barely noticeable before.

The pre-installation visit totally covered the expected service and the amount of time that the job would take. Based upon other reviews, I had a pretty good idea of the cost (ranch as built was around 1,800 sq ft) and the initial cost provided was what I expected so I accepted the job. The workers arrived a little earlier (less than 30 minutes) and did the job in the expected time. They did a good job. We were light on insulation at the rear of the house (over master bedroom) and could test the difference as the bedroom stayed warmer (it was March). Overall a very good job.

We met Brian at the Cincinnati Home Show and set an appointment for an estimate. A few days later a salesperson came by our home, did some measurements, looked into the attic and explained the procedure. They use some kind of pump on a van to blow the insulation into the attic, just a long hose comes into the house. The installation was scheduled for about a week later. Two installers arrived on schedule the day of the appointment. It took several hours but it was not very noisy, i work from home and it did not interfere with my conference calls at all. The installers were very nice, cleaned up behind themselves. And showed us the insulation once the work was complete. The effects of the increased insulation was evident immediately. The temperatures in the house seem more even, cold spots in the house didn't seem so cold anymore. And we have already seen a decrease in energy costs. The Duke Energy analysis letters used to show our energy costs as 'above average', last month it showed us as 'average'. I am hoping to see continued improvements over the summer months. I enjoyed working with everyone from Attic Experts and would highly recommend their product and this company.
