Description of Work: A&S came in to save the day. I was in a caught in the middle of sale with some repairs that the new buyers were requesting. A&S had to replace 8 full floor joists, 30 feet of sill plate and band board. They worked with the buyers structural engineer and came up with the best solution. The work was done quickly and they did everything that was expected. He even understood the urgency of getting the work completed and I felt that he understood my hurry. He met the deadline and satisfied the buyer's engineer. Great work from this contractor.

He then drew up a detailed plan with a quote that included several optional items from which we could choose. We will probably get the work done but are waiting to see how the tax return plays out.
Description of Work: We asked Steve to provide a quote for custom bookcases with a fireplace hearth.

+ 1 moreSteve communicated constantly with us keeping us up-to-date on progress. He secured all permits for us, kept the rest of the house protected from dust and debris, always cleaned up each day (rather than leave stuff setup), and stayed within budget. He even spent 2 hours with us at the big box stores selecting fixtures, tile, etc. He does not upcharge for materials and was always on the job when he said he would be. Finished the entire project within about 10 working days from receipt of permits. An excellent experience.
Description of Work: Steve installed a new full-bath for us in our already finished basement. It included having to break up concrete, install plumbing (he subbed that out due to permit requirements), electrical, framing, drywall, ceramic tile, etc. Secured all necessary permits and completed the work within the time frame established. We also had him previously install a new bathroom exhaust fan which included installing new vent to the outside of the house. He did that in one day for a very reasonable price.
