I called the company for two reasons. First, they were local. Second, the fireplace installer being used by the builder of our new neighborhood recommended them. Please note that the current fireplace installer does not work on Royal Gas Fireplaces. The company (KevinMote) was booked solid and explained they could not get to me for one week unless it was an emergency. We did not have an emergency so we waited. The technicians arrived on time and were very professional - introduced themselves and brought in the appropriate protection materials, i.e., mats and tools to protect the floor in and around the fireplace. They insured the gas control valve was turned off and inspected for gas leaks. Having assured their were no leaks, they checked the gas control value mechanism inside the fireplace for damage. After insuring the value was safe, they turned on the gas and checked for gas leaks again. They found none. They determined the problem was the pilot light. They repaired the pilot light and checked the electric circuit to insure the fireplace started and burned correctly. They were very courteous in explaining the various On/Off switches that controlled the gas control value mechanism and insured all the switches were in the proper configuration. The whole job was completed in approximately 30 minutes. I would definitely use this company again.
