C.R. Strohmeyer Plumbing

Mr. Strohmeyer arrived as scheduled. A very personable man and an extremely competent plumber. I told him what I was hoping to get accomplished and showed him around. He described what he was going to do to tackle the rather long list of items and started to work with the help of his partner. To my amazement Mr Strohmeyer did everything he said he would do and them some. He went above and beyond what I think many plumbers would do and showed a skill level that only comes with experience and an abundance of pride in his work. My experience with both he and his helper/partner was exceptional.

Mr. Strohmeyer was prompt and professional. There were no problems, and I am happy with the new faucets. No more dripping.

Technician pulled line and pump (submersible), found no line cracks, figured problem was the pump check valve (built in). He called the owner, who brought a new pump, they replaced, re-dropped the line, tested whole system, ran water to ensure no debris, all good. So not only did they come out the same day I called, but they replaced pretty much the whole pump to switch "system," all within less than 3 hours. Extremely efficient, friendly, professional and skilled. I hesitate to post this review, because I want these guys to my water professionals forever and for whatever I ever need - and don't want to share them. Both Chris and the boss were just fantastic!

My sump pump suddenly quit on a Monday evening. I was scheduled to leave on a vacation trip early that Wednesday, and I feared I would have to postpone my departure. That evening I left a phone message for Charlie that explained the situation. It had been raining off and on for days; the ground was saturated; and water was starting to back up into my basement. Charlie returned my call at approximately 8:00 a.m. the following morning and promised that he would have one of his employees at my house within an hour. He was true to his word. "Ben" arrived promptly, installed the pump and cleaned out gravel that had floated into the hole over the years. I was very pleased with his professionalism and pleasant demeanor. He left the work area neat and tidy. Since then there have been multiple heavy rainstorms in my area. Although my house sits on low ground, I have had no problems since the new pump was installed. In fact, my new pump does such a good job, that a former damp spot in the corner of the basement has totally disappeared. I have called on Strohmeyer Plumbing for years and have always been pleased with their work.

Called three times; left a message with a person twice. Left a message on a machine once. They NEVER called back. Argh! Even if they didn't want the job (??) they should've at least been professional enough to tell me that.

The new equipment is great! His team was extremely polite, efficient & very professional. They meticulously cleaned up after their project was complete.

Very easy to schedule and priced fairly. I have access to house via a lock box and they picked up payment from a separate location to accommodate us. Will use again!

Charlie and his employees always do a great job for us. They are prompt and professional and I'd recommend them to anyone.

I needed to have a friend meet the plumber at the lake house as I was out of town. Had a specific date I wanted the job completed. Called the plumber two weeks ahead to make sure the date would work. The receptionist told me that she would ask the plumber to call me. No call. I called again the week before the date and he did return my call. I explained the situation and he did not seem eagar at all to take the job. He did say that he would call me and my friend before coming out. Never called.

They did a great job. They were prompt, very friendly and considerate of my time and property.

Water pipe froze and burst late at night. We shut water off for the night. The next morning we called Strohmeyer and Charlie was in our home before 10 A.M. that day. Repairs were made and water was back on before noon.

We purchased a house built in 1959 which had the laundry drain pipe connected to the kitchen drain pipe. The pipe was unable to handle large amounts of water and was plugged somewhere. Called Strohmeyer in the morning and received a call back within an hour. Charlie and Justin showed up an hour later, surveyed the situation and provided a solution. They were able to start the job right away and finished in just a couple of hours. While they were here, I also had a small project to cap off unused water lines in a room that used to be a basement. They were able to take care of that as well. Very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work.

Very nice and professional provider. I called at 1:10 in the afternoon and received a return call at 4:45 and he came that same day and had everything done in about 1-1/2 hours. I'd use him again; found him here on Angie's list and would recommend him to anybody that wants an honest, thorough plumber.

We've had Charlie do work for us several times over the past 10 years or so. Always extremely satisfied with his work.

Charlie did an excellent job as always. He has done a number of plumbing jobs for us and has been excellent every time. He is prompt, competent, and professional. He can diagnose problems quickly and fix them. His rates are very reasonable. In this case he installed a new valve and got the sump pump working effectively. As a result he prevented our basement from flooding. I recommend Charlie Strohmeyer extremely highly -- he is certainly the best plumber I have ever had.

Responded to an emergency call and fit the work into his schedule. Was very cooperative and performed the services requested.

Charlie arrived at our house within 24 hours of our call, quickly identified the problem and provided a short term solution. Gave me a quote for replacement parts (a new pressure tank and filter system), and came back exactly when he said he would and installed them. No surprises at all on pricing. He gave good, clear advice on how to avoid future problems. I will hire him again any time I have plumbing problems.

I have always been satisfied with the quality of work performed by Charlie and his employees. They have always responded promptly when called for services, and have always been very friendly.

He is very friendly and helpful. After fixing all the plumbing problems I had, he worked on my Water Softener, as well. He took time to explain how it worked and did not rush through the job. He is very knowledgeable and gave me advice on many things. He was very thorough and did high quality work for a very reasonable price. He sells and does maintenance on Water Softeners along with his plumbing business.

Our sump pump broke and our basement flooded. We called Strohmeyer and Sons Plumbing and Charlie came over very quickly. He examined our pump and explained that it was an old pump and that it had simply burned out. Right away he installed a new pump and it pumped the water out of our basement. There is nothing more important than having fast, professional service in a plumbing crisis, and Charlie certainly provided that.

Mr. Strohmeyer arrived on time, installed the water heater, fixed a faucet that was causing cold water to flow into the water heater, removed the old water heater, took extra precautions to make sure he did not damage floors or walls, explained his work.

Charlie and his assistant did an outstanding job. He was very prompt, diagnosed the problems correctly, and fixed everything within a day.

Mr. Strohmeye gets an A+ for responsiveness, and he didn't charge me for the additional service calls necessary to diagnose the circuit breaker problem, which he didn't cause. There were no surprises during the actual installation, but afterwards the new pump suddenly quit. Mr. Strohmeter returned when I called him at 9:00 PM. Turned out to me, coincidentally, that the circuit breaker needed to be replaced. This was difficult to diagnose, because at first there were no outward signs that the breaker was at fault and the pump started up again on its own, and then stopped again several days later, only to start up again on its own. Within a few minutes, Mr. Strohmeye kept returning each time. I called until he diagnosed the bad circuit breaker. He even helped me find an electrician who could come to the house on an emergency basis; within 1/2 hour!

HE CAME OUT THE EVENING OF THE DAY I CALLED, AS I WAS DESPERATE TO GET THE WATER BACK ON IN MY KITCHEN! AFTER PRINTING OUT THE PLUMBERS FOR MY AREA FROM ANGIE'S LIST, THE MAN WHO DESIGNED AND BUILT THE KITCHEN TOLD ME TO GET STROYMEYER'S IF I COULD AS HE HAD WORKED WITH THEM AND FOUND THEM TO BE EXCELLENT. HE WAS RIGHT.
