+ -1 moreWell initially I thought it had gone very well. First our laminate flooring which was just 9 mos old wasruined by the heat. This is something that the local supervisor promised me would not happen even after I offered to call the installer twice to make sure. Their insurance refused to cover it but the head of the company Kurt Scherzinger promised me they will pay to replace the floor. Then 60 days after they had come in using the heat treatment we found a mature nest of bed bugs in our kingsize bed. Even though that mattress had been heated so throughly that it was too hot to sleep on that night. We went to the store and bought chemicals to DIY. It turns out the bedbugs were running up the bedroom curtains to escape heat and fog from the room fogger. We bought mattress and pillow encasings from Walmart .com and sprayed the curtains then washed them in hot water and let them air dry in the sun. No more bed bugs. The DYI came out to be about another $200. The people running the company are honorable trustworthy and honestly care about their customers. I sent our recommendation about checking bed room curtains as well and they said they would incorporate into their training program.They went on and above their contract by promising to pay for my new flooring when their insurance company turned their claim down.

+ -1 moreWe had found a bedbug in our home. We hired Buckeye Bedbug to determine the extent of the issue. The dog identified several places in our home where there were supposedly bedbugs. This sent our family into crises. We nearly spent $2000 on treatment. However, fortunately a different company that treats bedbugs did a thorough inspection of our home and found no evidence of bedbugs. He stated that it would be wrong for his company to treat our home. He also pointed out that any dog detection should be followed up with a visual inspection to confirm the presence of bedbugs - which Buckeye did not provide. Five weeks later and after plenty of searching we are convinced that we never had a bedbug problem. I contacted the owner via Angie's List about getting a refund, since the inspection did more harm than good for our family. We did not receive a reply.
Description of Work: The provider walked a trained dog through our home to identify potential bedbugs in the home.

Buckeye Bed Bug Detection, LLC offers the following services: Canine bed bug detection by our nationally certified handler teams. Our canine, Ollie, only detects live bed bugs and live eggs. His daily training regimen keeps him at the top of his game and his handlers take great care to ensure dead bed bugs, caste skins and fecal matter are not a part of it. We offer pre and post treatment inspections as needed or on a regularly scheduled basis.
