Description of Work: Fixed the hot water tank. Came the same day we called, charged a fair price, and the tank is fixed. Slawinski is the only plumber we use.

Description of Work: Replaced a shower faucet that broke. It wouldn't turn for us to shower.

Description of Work: Slawinski's came out to give us an estimate on a rather large plumbing job, however, most of the time he was at our house, he was on the phone with someone else. He was very unprofessional and rude. In addition to that, he never even sent us a quote. I wouldn't waste my time with this company again.

Description of Work: He was due to show up at 8:30, he called at 8:00 and asked if it was ok that he showed up bewteen 9:30 and 10:00 and i said that was fine. He showed up at 10:00. He installed a new mail shut off valve in the basement and installed a new bathroom faucet i had purchased ahead of time. He replace the old faucet with the new one and was very thorough in cleaning every thing up and removeing the old parts. He was very good and I would recommend him in a heartbeat. I am planing on more work in the future and will call him back.

Description of Work: Two plumbers arrived the morning after I called, on their way to another job, to clear the drain in my tenants' bathroom. They were quick, friendly, and quite surprised when I told them what roto rooter charged for the same service. An earlier attempt with a shorter snake had failed and we needed a professional's help. Thanks to Angie's List, I found Slawinski's. Terrific work!

Description of Work: Mr. David slowinski came 30 minutes earlier than stated time to repair my whole house ant1quatic faucet drippings. His work was efficient, professional, and more than good. Not many people can fix my faucet drippings due to oldness of the structures. He even came back to fix again and fix another leakge of the water valve under the sink without additional charges. We were so fortunate and thanking the Lord to have David fix up our faucet problems. I definately would use his firm again and recommend to my friends.

Description of Work: Tub stopper broke. Replaced with new hardware. Have been using David for about 10 years for all plumbing needs with my home and rental properties. He is outstanding.

Description of Work: Was scheduled for Friday but they called and said they had a cancellation on Thursday and could they come over. I said yes. 2 men arrived and put on shoe covers so as not to drag snow into the house. They snaked out the toilet drain. They were efficient and very knowledable. More importantly, they answered all my many questions about the toilet, sink, and even about my shower and how to repair the small leaks. This kind of information is invaluable since they are the experts and I'm just searching for answers. I've decided to buy a new toilet, sink and ask them back to give me an a rough guess on cost to install them. They also told me how previous work was not done correctly. I asked about that. I also enjoyed the conversation about being in the army and serving in Germany, which he and I both did. Very pleased with the work and service.

Description of Work: Leak from kitchen sink drain and pipes under. He replaced a poorly fitting washer and tightened loose fittingsReturned my call promptly. Excellent communication. Was particularly accomodating to my request to be notified before his arrival so I could contain my dogs. Have used this service in the past, always satisfied.

Description of Work: When Mr. Slawinski left my house on August 30 of this year after completing an intricate repair on my upstairs bathtub (see earlier report), neither one of us expected to see each other again so soon. This time around it was my downstairs bathroom sink that had a drain leaking into the crawl space. This repair was not an easy one but, once again, Mr. Slawinski handled it perfectly, not only installing all new materials where needed but correcting a mistake apparently committed by the builder back in 1969. I'm not going into as much detail on this report as I did on my earlier one but suffice it to say that, not only did Mr. Slawinski do his usual fine job, he made the experience a pleasant one for me. Thanks, Mr. Slawinski. I hope I DON'T see you again for a while, at least professionally!

Description of Work: Dave is a very pleasant individual. He works hard and is very professional. He put in a new cartridge in my shower tower, installed a new toilet, installed a new copper line and faucet for the outside, changed the water filter in the basement, cleaned out the filter in my kitchen faucet, and took my hoses apart. Since my husband died in 2008, I have had about 5 different plumbers come for various problems. Although their work was adequate, I did not feel comfortable with any of them. I think I have finally found a plumber I can trust to do a good job!

Description of Work: When I first discovered the water leaking from my upstairs bathtub/shower drain into my downstairs furnace room, I envisioned a repair nightmare. Getting at the leaking pipe from the downstairs side was virtually impossible without removing a large furnace duct as well as the hot water heater flue and furnace flue. Getting at the leaking pipe from the upstairs side required the person doing the repairs be somewhat of a carpenter as well as a contortionist. I immediately saw that this job was not for me and I quickly turned to Angie's List where I was fortunate enough to find David Slawinski from Slawinski Plumbing and Maintenance. Mr.. Slawinski returned my call on Sunday (at my request), gave me an appointment for Monday morning, showed up on time, analyzed the situation, gave me a quote for the work, and gave me another appointment for the following day when he would do the actual work. On Tuesday, Mr. Slawinski showed up on time, turned himself into a carpenter/contortionist, completed the work, and even knocked $20 off the initial quote (from $325 down to $305) because I used Angie's List. Mr. Slawinski's workmanship is impeccable. The job he did is worthy of a photograph in a repair manual and he did it in such a way that if anybody has to do any kind of repairs in this area in the future, it'll be easy for that person to get in there and get it done. Thanks, Mr. Slawinski, and congratulations on another job well done. Oh yeah, did I mention he cleaned up after himself?

Description of Work: Bathtub/shower was "renewed" with a liner about 5 years ago. Cannot used caustics (ie: Draino) to clear clogged drain. SLawinski Plumbing came in, assessed the problem and, after I approved his quote, he got right to work and cleared the drain. Very polite. Very professional. Very knowlegeable. He even showed me what he removed. Amazing. I will probably need to have my bathtub drain de-clogged again in the future. Will call Slawinski Plumbing to get the jub done.

Description of Work: Had a clogged toilet. The drain in the basement also needed snaked out-we had been having problems with that for a while. Came the day I called and took care of the toilet. Told me before coming that it would be the following week before he could get the basement drain due to equipment malfunction. Made the appt. the first day, returned the following week and took care of the basement problem also.

Description of Work: We'd been having trouble with our tankless water heater for about a year or year and a half, being afraid of how much it was going to cost. Had another company come over, and their quote was something close to $12,000 in upgrades and new equipment. We had Slawinski Plumbing & Maintenance come over. He checked it out, cleaned something up and charged $39.00, and it's working great. You could say I saved a couple bucks. I'd used this provider before, may be ten years ago, and they were dirt cheap then, too. I refound them on Angie's List. Exceptional prices and he's very courteous.

Description of Work: MY PROBLEM WAS DIFFERENT. I HAD A 2 FOOT HOLE UNDER THE APRON OF MY DRIVEWAY. I CALLED THE CITY (CLEVELAND) AND THEY SENT OUT 5 OR 6 DEPARTMENTS TO LOOK AT IT. AFTER ABOUT 2 WEEKS, THEY LEFT ME A CARD THAT SAID IT WAS NOT A SEWER RELATED PROBLEM, AND TOLD ME TO CALL A PLUMBER. HE CAME OUT, LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM, AND THEN CALLED MY COUNCILMAN. THE PLUMBER CAME OUT TO MEET WITH THE CITY PERSON AND IT WAS DETERMINED IT WAS A CRACKED CURB TILE AFTER DOING SEVERAL TESTS. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH DAVID SLAWINSKI. HE COULD HAVE JUST FIXED IT, BUT HE FELT IT WAS THE CITY'S PROBLEM AND PURSUED THAT. THAT'S INTEGRITY! HE SAVED ME A COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS. HE GETS GREAT GRADES FROM ME!
