Description of Work: I called asking for an estimate for a backflow preventer to be installed in my basement floor. While he quoted me a price, he suggested that I install a floor guard which should take care of the issue. His quote was $1600 to do the install of the backflow preventer, however, I followed his suggestion of installing the $15 floor guard. He earned my business with his sage advice.

Description of Work: Hot water tank died the day before Thanksgiving. Called Mr. Slawinski Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. Friday morning he was at my house installing a new one. The quickest anyone else quoted me was the following Tuesday, given the holiday. Slawinski Plumbing was great. Fast, efficient, and friendly! Would recommend.

 + -1 moreHe arrived with his partner and got to work immediately. No reviewing with me what needed to be done. I stayed out of their way for an hour or so while they worked downstairs. When the one helper started working up in the kitchen, I noticed they were planning on running the gas line up through the wall, not up through the floor. When I tried voicing my concern and showing him the stove installation instructions, I got a ''yeah, yeah, yeah, don't worry, it will be flush'' (not even stopping what he was doing for ten seconds to listen to what I was saying). He appeared to be in a big hurry. He was originally going to put the shut off valve inside the wall. (I had already removed a section of wall so an electrician I hired could run a new circuit). When I explained I was going to be patching the drywall behind the stove he simply put an elbow on & ran the pipe out in front of the wall. Now when I patch the wall, I'll have a pipe coming through it. I wanted the pipe through the floor.
Description of Work: Ran a gas line from a tee fitting in the basement through a finished ceiling below, up through the floor in my kitchen to my new stove. Had to cut a 12''x24'' in basement ceiling. Had to install pipe with several turns in it, and also had to drill holes in a couple of joists between basement/kitchen to run pipe through. All told, it was about 16-20 feet of pipe.

 + -1 moreMr. Slawinski did a great job. He couldn't take care of the job on Friday and had a wedding the next day. So he came on Sunday morning and didn't charge me any extra. The job was done in a timely fashion and was reasonably priced.

 + -1 moreThey were very professional. They responded to my phone calls pretty much, as soon as I called them. They were the best price by far for the work. They came and got the job done. We scheduled for one day, but the guy had a doctor's appointment, that he had forgot about, so he came and did the work the next day and it was great. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They repaired and replaced some old plumbing going down into my bathroom floor and replaced a toilet. They gave me $20 for being a member of Angie's List. They were by far, the best price for the work.

 + -1 moreI called and they were able to get me in the next morning. They were very pleasant and completed the job. About 1/3 of the price was due to the cost of the ceramic stems. They installed ceramic stems so that I would not need any future replacement. I had leakage from the old valve on my water heater and he thought the spring was bad so he replaced the valve.
Description of Work: They replaced the stems on my kitchen faucet with ceramic stems on both the hot and cold sides. They also installed a safety relief valve on my water heater.

 + 0 moreDavid was right on time to do the work and was a pleasure to deal with. He left everything neat and clean. I am very pleased with the work. It is nicer than I expected. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced flooring in lavatory with ceramic tile. This required the removal/replacement of the toilet, the old floor and two layers of rotted subflooring. The toilet flange also had to be replaced. He even installed a mailbox at no additional cost. He had previously installed a grab bar for us in another bathroom and did such a great job repairing the tile, we hired him for the floor.
