The pipes were hard to get to, they had to go through the wall. I pleased that their solution was less invasive. Their prices were very good. They worked quickly and were prompt. I can't say enough good things about them.

Had to reschedule once due to misunderstanding. He apologized, no big deal, and rescheduled at our convenience. When he came to do the work, he arrived on time, but it turned out that an extra part would be needed to complete the work (electrical was more complicated than expected), so we had to reschedule again for another week. On final attempt, he arrived early, but waited around until we got back home to let him in. Work was performed quickly and well, and result functions better than we expected. Switch was a better option than we had envisioned. He found unexpected solutions to run wiring unobtrusively. Nice to have one person do both electrical and plumbing. Cost more than initially expected (because of switch/electrical configuration), but additional costs were explained and approved. Clean, friendly, and thorough.

David responded to my initial call very promptly. He came over with Stanley to do the simple repairs, and gave me an initial estimate on the floor drain. We made arrangements to start the work on the basement issues. They arrived on time and began the work. After a couple of hours, David came and got me and explained that the problem was more extensive and we'd need to revise the budget. I'd had estimates done on this problem before and David's estimate was in line with everything I'd been told, in addition to how extensive the problems were. We made arrangements for them to come back Monday to finish the work. They weren't able to finish the work on Monday (busting through a lot of shale), so everything was finished Tuesday. He left me pictures documenting all the work and an itemized invoice. You wouldn't have known any work was done, given how well they cleaned up the site.

They fixed the problem in about a half of an hour. The work they did was good. They were high but I would probably use them again.

I called Slawinski's Plumbing when Mr. Rooter gave an alarming estimate. I told David over the phone what we needed done, and he gave me his price right over the phone! I asked if he could come out and take a look and he came out the following Monday. He came early, gave me the estimate which was less than half of what we were quoted from Mr. Rooter. He asked if he could come back in about 45 minutes to do the repair. I said sure. He came back in 45 with another worker, Stephen, and all the parts. From 9:30 am till 11:30 am David gave an estimate, went to get the correct parts, another worker, and was FINISHED with the project. Not only were they quick, you can't even tell they were here! I have never had a plumber clean up the mess from a repair, until David and Stephen.

We live in Akron, out parents in Parma. We needed to find a plumber to work on a drain pipe leak. Not knowing area plumbers I called Angie's List to help up find a trustworthy plumber. We choose businesses you say have A ratings. Slawinski was able to come when we needed them. They were prompt, fair priced, professional, gave a $20 coupon discount and an added discount for paying cash. Also a good guarantee. We'd hire them again.

It was for a vintage 1900 pill box style toilet tank. He was excellent and on time.

It couldn't have gone any better! David came out within an hour of my call (our now former plumber couldn't come out for another WEEK!). He knew right away what the problem was and had it fixed in under 20 minutes. He was very professional and courteous and showed up when he said he would--rare for a contractor these days. For that kind of service, especially the day after a terrible ice storm, I couldn't have been more happy!

David responded to the call from a brand new customer within 10 minutes. After hearing about special circumstances, he offered two alternatives to be there within the customer's needed time frame--one even being within 1.5 hours at the end of that same business day. David arrived early. He checked out both toilets, offered information, and went right to work. He completed all work, leaving no mess, in record time. He provided a detailed bill and even gave a $20 discount for being an Angie's List member.

They are comparable to other plumbers and he is a very nice young man.

I initially scheduled for someone to come in on a Wednesday afternoon between noon and 3. I took the afternoon off work and received a phone call around 1:30 that the repairman was tied up and would not be able to make it. I was then told that I would not be able to reschedule until the following Monday. When I pushed, they were able to find someone to come in the next day. Stan was due at my home at 9 AM. He called right at 9 to let me know that the weather was delaying him and he would be about 20 minutes late. Exactly 20 minutes later, he was at my door. He was very polite and professional. The work took about an hour and a half. Stan kept me informed about everything he was doing. He was very thorough. I was extremely happy with the price. Another company had told me this repair could cost over $500. I even got the $20 Angie's List discount!

He was in and out. He was pleasant and professional.

This was a very positive experience. I called at 9AM and we agreed on a 3PM appointment. David Slawinski (owner) called at 1PM to say he could come early. He arrived promptly. He let me know the good scenario and the possible bad scenario. He "snaked' the pipe, replaced the corroded elbow and accomplished the good scenario. The work was completed quickly, David was polite and kept the area clean.

Did not show up on the day we agreed upon to have the work done. I called early in the week to confirm, he said that he would called if he needed to re-schedule or was busy with another customer service call. A NO SHOW. Now left to find another plumber that can do the work.

I would use the following words to sum up the experience: Courteous, professional, very reasonably priced, and highly recommended. They came out to the house in the morning at 8:30am and were finished by 9:05am.

One of the easiest transactions I've ever had with someone in this type of work. My existing plumber is in his eighties and has just left the business. Another plumber I called (I called on Monday before Thanksgiving) after explaining that I had a leak below my bathroom sinks told me 'Friday at the earliest' with a slight possibility on Wednesday morning. I said I have a leak & the best you can do is Friday? Anyway, I find on Angie's List, another Grade A plumber that operates near my home. I called and 25 minutes later 2 plumbers are in my bathroom getting things fixed. It was Dan Slawinski, the owner, and a helper. They were here for about an hour, charged me $105 of which $20-plus was for parts at a price less than one local hardware store charges. Without being asked, Dan explains that he is going to give me a $20 Angie's List discount. Final cost $85. Hard to believe; going from desperation to jubilation in less that 90 minutes.

After scheduling the appointment, a scheduling conflict arose due to another customer's catastrophic plumbing issue. He was able to squeeze my job in and then go back to the other customer. Also gave me thorough advice about how to fix another plumbing problem I had with no charge.

We called David and asked for a price, $650. We mentioned that we got his name off Angie's List and he informed us that we get $20 off, down to $630. We asked how soon could he be here and David informed us that he could be here between 11:00 and 12:00. We agreed and set up the service call. David called and said that they could be here early and we gladly accepted. David and Stanley got here at about 10:30. They finished the replacement in about an hour and cleaned up as they worked. We are happy with the replacement, the time it took and the professional attitude that both David and Stanley exhibited.

Because our house is on a slab, installing the whole house filter was a little tricky. Mr. Slawinski devised a good solution. The finished job looks very neat and clean. Mr. Slawinski and his helper did the work very quickly and left nothing behind for us to clean up. I am impressed and pleased.

Very good plumber. Called on a Thursday, scheduled appointment for the following Tuesday. Quick work and cleaned up well.

I would give them an A+ in the areas of price, responsiveness, punctuality & professionalism. After my initial phone call with them about the work, they were at my house within 20 minutes. When I called the next day because my bathtub was stopped up, they again were at house within 20 minutes to repair it. They were very quick to respond to any changes in plans we talked about it & very willing to adjust to any changes we requested. They are a very professional company- quick to respond to homeowners needs & I recommend them highly.

David Slawinski accommodated by schedule by arriving at 7am. Total time to complete work was about 1 hour. The clogs in the both the tub and sink moved to keep locations, requiring the power snake. David had to disassemble underneath the sink to completely clean out the pipes. He checked for leaks after putting everything back together. The work was done with minimal mess and now the drains work great.

I called on Friday, and we scheduled for Tuesday. They were able to come out on Monday, a day sooner than expected, and were able to give me suggestions without charging me. I was very impressed, and they will be the first ones I call when I need service in the future.

My dad is 96 and he lives alone in a duplex. I noticed that his hot water heater was leaking when I was visiting. He had no hot water. We called Dave, who was on another job. He asked the woman he was working for if she minded if he came back the next day so he could get to my dad right away. He came right over and my dad had a new water heater installed and working by evening.
