Slawinski came out the very next day, just like they said they would. After testing they were unable to identify the source of the water. Since they were already here, I asked them to repair a leak in the kitchen sink and they did so by replacing a cartridge. They were very professional.

It was excellent. He came and handled his business. He is going to be my regular plumber. He was very quick. He gave me an estimate for my bathroom while he was here which includes tile work.

The only complaint I could have is that I was not called back initially for about 2 weeks, as the message was lost. He did appologize and was on time for the appointment. They did a great job and the price was reasonable. I would hire him again.

David Slawinski called a head of time to see if he could come early. He adjusted the pop-up bathtub stopper, but noted that a rubber seal inside was dry and cracked. He thought the adjustment would work, though. He replaced the shower arm with a longer one, and then attached the new shower head. The shower head was a hand-held model that was also a water saver showerhead with a ball inside to adjust the water. When I took my first shower, there was a slight drip. Also the stopper in the other bath still leaked very slightly. I called Slawinski Plumbing to come fix it. In the meantime, I was still unhappy with the height of the shower and purchased an extension to lower it. Due to both our busy schedules, we finally connected and Dave came out on 6/6/09 to fix the problem. He replaced the old rubber seal in the bathtub stopper; he fixed the slight leak in my new shower head and added the extension to make the height a little lower. At that time I asked him if he would fix the sink stopper in my bathroom sink - I had taken it out because it wouldn't work any longer. Dave determined that the piece holding the stopper was rusted out. He fixed it and attached the stopper so that it worked. Dave did not charge me for the new rubber stopper, to add the extension on my showerhead, or to fix my sink stopper. And the height of my shower is now perfect!

Very well. The work was done very neatly and professionally. The work area was left cleaner than it was before the work was done.

I called Slawinski Plumbing (based on their Angie's List report) to have 2 bathroom sinks replaced. I explained our needs and was told that they could come the next day to check out our needs and give an estimate. They arrived promptly gave us a thorough inspection and estimate. We asked them to complete the work and they were able to schedule us for the very next day! They arrived promptly at the stated time, did the work neatly and well. It took them about 45 minutes more than they had estimated, yet did not ask foar additional money! A great experience!

Second hire of Slawinski this year. Tenant reported water dripping through basement ceiling in vicinity of outdoor tap. Isolated leak with cut-off valve. Called Slawinski next day, and they made repair that day without cutting into ceiling of finished, basement family room. I was very pleased that the work was not as invasive as I'd anticipated. As an out-of-state landlord, I appreciate knowing a plumber this reliable.

They were punctual, pleasant, accommodation, and do good work.

I gave them a couple days to respond and I have no heard back from them.

They replaced the shutoff valve on the waterline that leads to my external spigot. They first checked to see if all they needed to do was tighten the valve. I appreciated this as it would have saved money. Some would have just replaced and called it a day. I knew it would need replacing as I tried all the standard maintenance procedures I could find on the internet and the valve would still erupt upon even the slightest of turns. There were two men, David and his helper. They were very nice people, educated you enough to understand what was going to be done, cleaned up very well, explained how the new valve works and the price was very right. I inquired about the repair work on a Thursday. David wanted to know if it was something I wanted done that day. It was not an emergency as it was the shutoff to my external backyard spigot and was not leaking. We agreed to Saturday. He seemed like he'd have found a way to get there that day if it was an emergency which was very nice. I will think of them first the next time I require any plumbing work.

I was having seriously difficulty fixing the problem myself. I called them late yesterday afternoon out of desperation, and told them I got their name from Angie's List. I asked how quickly they could come out, and they were able to set up an appointment for this morning between 9 and 10. They came out, and the gentleman was very pleasant and personable. They were able to fix not only the plumbing problem itself, but also fixed the floor as well. He even went above and beyond by making a repair so that my sweeper could work, and he went through and fixed other plumbing issues that I hadn't even called for. I was flabbergasted at what an excellent job he did, and the prices were extremely reasonable. They even gave me an Angie's List discount, and I was so grateful for their promptness and I would absolutely use them again. I would recommend them to anyone, and they really made my whole day great. I feel great about their service, and hope everyone uses them!

I checked Angie's List for a plumber after I discovered sewage was backing up into the drain in my basement floor. After reading member reviews I called my city and had them come to see if they could clear the blockage. The city was out twice to snake and I didn't notice any difference with the drain. I called Slawinski Plumbing and Stephen was at my house a few hours later. He discovered that an old back-flow preventer in the line had rusted in the the down position and was causing the blockage. He removed the rusted piece, snaked to the street, back into the house, and then flushed the line with lots of water. He also snaked a slow moving bathtub and sink drain. He recommended that I eventually replace the bathroom pipes with PVC, as they are original to the house and most likely corroded. He was prompt, very courteous and extremely professional. The work involved was smelly and gross and Stephen maintained a sense of humor the entire time.

The problem I was having was that the outdoor spigot was leaking behind the wood siding even when fully shut off. I called David Slawinski the afternoon of April 1 and he said he could come out the next day first thing in the morning between 8 and 10am. He arrived promptly at 9am and was done by 10am. I didn't ask him for an estimate because I had used him twice before and was not only extremely satisfied with the quality of the work, but his fees were amazingly fair...plus I had an active leak that needed to be fixed ASAP. At first I was somewhat worried that because the spigot was attached to the face of the siding, that the siding was either going to have to be removed or cut to expose the plumbing behind it. But when David analyzed the problem he saw no need to do that and instead pulled off the spigot head, which had rusted through at the base (thus the rusting underneath the spigot), and this was the cause of the leak. He accessed the rest of the piping by cutting away a small portion of the finished basement ceiling adjacent to the exterior wall. After attaching a new frost-free spigot, he showed me exactly what he had done and why. David was prompt in responding, punctual, fair in price and I am very satisfied with the quality of the work (plus he has a professional attitude which makes him a pleasure to do business with). If these are qualities you are looking for in a plumber then David Slawinski and company are your best bets.

David Slawinski and his associate called me prior to their arrival, and they actually arrived a few minutes before the scheduled appointment time. They went right to work after covering things with their tarps. They were friendly and very professional and they had the drain cleared in a matter of minutes using their power snake. They were very neat and clean, and when they left you wouldn't even know they were there. David included two minor repair jobs (replacing a washer in my sink aerator and repairing a hose leak) without extra charge. A discount is available to Angie's List customers. I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend them to others.

It went great! I called them in the morning because someone had mentioned to me that there was a hole in the pipe above our main shutoff valve(caused by corrosion-a bunch of rust and such). David gave me a rough quote on the phone based on my description of the issue. I was thrilled to find out that they could swing by in the afternoon. They showed up just as promised and replaced the piece that was corroded. I figured I'd have them look at our toilet that hasn't been flushing well for a while now. He checked a few things and then ended up snaking the toilet. Flushed like a charm after that. So I had him check the hot water on the sink because it's been banging when you turn it on and off. He found that the washer on the shutoff was cracked so he replaced that. I love the fact that he is from the neighborhood. Will definitely look to use them in the future. To boot I got $20 off because I found him on Angie's List.

They were very articulate in telling us what needed to be done. They demonstrated what was wrong with the old seating ring, and I appreciated their courtesy.

The plumber did an excellent job-showed up promptly, did the work requested, explained what he was doing every step of the way, and was on budget.

Extremely well. I'm a reluctant out-of-state landlord (Seattle, house is in Rocky River). Tenant noticed problem Wed night, 2/18/09. I scanned Angie's List for reputable contractors, and my tenant made calls to see who was available and obtain estimates. David answered his own phone in a professional manner that gave my tenant confidence. Response was prompt, price with Angie discount was excellent, and work was nicely done and cleaned up thoroughly by early Thu afternoon. They did not charge for the unexpected piping work. Slawinski is the second plumber I?ve used as a landlord in the last six months. Next time I will call him without shopping around.

Both experiences with this company have been excellent.

Called them up on a cold, snowy Sunday and had someone over within an hour or so. Pipe was repaired so that water was restored to the house that day. Returned promptly the next day with supplies to finish the job and replace the outdoor faucet. This was my first experience with them and I am happy to say that I would use them again for sure.

We had two other plumbers look at it and said they couldn't repair it. He was sufficient, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, moreover we placed a phone call to Mullen and David explained another problem we had. He found the problem with our shower and because of his comments in explaining the numbers in the finish Mullen is sending replacement parts which probably would not have happened had we not had an expert onsite. His price was reasonable. He had to adjust the part that Mullen sent. He went above and beyond, outstanding. He was very punctual.

I called Dave on a Wednesday morning regarding a sewage backup in the basement. He suggested on the phone prior to his coming over in order to save us money that we call our city first and make sure that our main sewer tie in was open to the line. After the city saw that it was, I called him back and he came over the same afternoon within about 2 hours. He and his colleague snaked our drain for 2 hours, however, we still were not having adequate drainage. He suggested that we camera the line. This is a $350 service. Dave saved us additional money by suggesting to have our city back out to camera the line for free. After the line was camera-ed Dave came back out, watched the DVD of the snaking to evaluate our line. He saw the problem and worked to snake the line for another 2 hours from inside and outside the house. There was grout and other recent remodeling materials creating a blockage. On both visits he was prompt or early, both times kept the house clean taking his shoes off and tidying up after himself. He also never stopped running from the basement to the sewer tie in and back again working hard the entire time he was here. Both days Dave was out it was snowing pretty hard, he never complained or slowed down working in the least. He also gave us the Angie's List coupon without asking for it. He is a true hard worker.

Kitchen sink backed up. Ran my own drain snake down it, but that didn't fix it. Called late Friday afternoon the day after Christmas. We were in a bind as we had to leave for an out of town Christmas dinner. They said 8:30 a.m., arrived at 8:20. Very professional, had the drain unclogged in no time and gave us some good tips to keep things flowing in the future.

My husband tried clearing the clogged bathroom sink and instead put the snake through the pipe. I called Slawinski Plumbing and spoke to Mike. He was very nice and worked with our schedule and came over on a Sunday afternoon. He cleared the clog and installed new pipes under the sink leading into the wall. He was very timely, worked efficiently and cleaned up afterward. He also took time to look at my kitchen faucet and other bathroom sink and give me his opinion and a quote. Mike is a very nice guy that does great work and I highly recommend him.
