Slawinski Plumbing & Maintenance

I called and left a message on Monday 4/5. He returned my call the same day. He came over very early the next morning 4/6 to assess the problem...I wasn't even late for work. He came by first thing the next morning 4/7 and cut off the old spigot and soldered in a new one. Pipe's location was difficult as the pipe came in over an electrical box. It took a little over one hour or so. This is the second time I've utilized Slawinski Plumbing, once 18 months ago for a much bigger job, and I am very pleased with their work and their responsiveness. I would use them again.

This company is so professional and easy to work with. Dave Slawinski was responsive by phone and scheduled the work within 2 days. It was for my elderly relative so he gave her a $20.00 discount.

Called David Slawinski at 8:30 a.m. today and he was able to come out and repair everything the same day. We originally called him for just the toilet problem only but he had a little time before his next appointment so he fixed the shower in the other bathroom. He went to the store to pick up a part he needed for the job as well. David knows what he's doing, he does the work himself as it is his business and he even whistles while he works like it is second nature. David is now our forever plumber!!

At first he said he would have to replace the antiquated drum trap which would require cutting a hole in the ceiling below in order to get at it. Of course this is an expensive fix. Then he said he may be able to snake out the drain through the bathroom sink drain line. He tried this approach and was successful. But the big problem was the cover for the drum trap could no longer be secured because where the cover screw fastened into, had rusted away. He said he may be able to locate a special cover kit that would replace the original. This kit had an expandable bar that would be placed into the pipe and then the screw for the cover would fasten into that. He had to make a few calls but was able to locate one, went and got it, and installed it successfullly. He could have easily turned that into an expensive repair involving not only plumbing but drywall replacement. But he investigated the availability of the replacement cover. I found him to be very honest and fair as he fixed it the most economical way possible. Having never heard of a drum trap, he could have easily convinced me the only fix was to replace the existing one. He was very professional, efficient and neat. It was truly a pleasurable experience. He also gave me an Angie's List member discount of $20.

David is professional, friendly, and efficient. He is also reasonably priced.

They did a great job and I would use them again. I actually referred him to someone else, and he did good work for her as well.

Slawinski has still not returned my call.

Very repsonsive and timely. I had called David previously on an emergency basis and was very pleased. We decided to have him return to do some preventative drain cleaning throughout the house.

They were great. Came on time and were able to fix the issue for very cheaply. We thought we would have to replace the garbage disposal.

He arrived on time. He moved furniture and cleaned the glass diffusers for the light bulbs. He had to saw off the old toilet seat in order to replace the new one. He made sure that all of my drains were draining properly and only replaced the washer in the hose faucet. He could have told me I needed a new faucet. As usual, he cleaned up after himself.

They were extremely efficient and always answered there phone even on a weekend. I called them on a Sunday night because the hot water heater had flooded my basement, so, they came out immediately to turn off the gas and next day they replaced the hot water heater. It was really very nice of them.

In the midst of having a new counter top,sink, disposal and faucet installed by Lowe's the technician discovered that the drain pipe coming out of the wall was too high for the disposal to operate properly. The reason for this was the sink I bought was deeper than my old sink. Since Lowe's plumbers (by contract) are not allowed to do "rough plumbing" in this case, running drain pipe through the floor, the job came to a standstill. I immediately called Angie's list for help and they recommended Slawinski Plumbing (among others). After hearing my problem on the phone Dave Slawinski came to my house within an hour, which later even amazed the Lowe's plumber. Dave did the work in about an hour and a half by working very hard and efficiently. He is obviously an excellent plumber and works very professionally. The amount he charged is fair considering he got me out of a jam by coming immediately and doing the work with excellent results. Everything works fine now. I am very grateful to Angie's list and Dave Slawinski for helping me out of my predicament in record time.

I called David early in the morning and he was in the neighborhood on another job and was able to come out and fix the problem the same morning. The toilet was not bolted to the floor and he was able to remove the toilet, remove the old seal, put new toilet bolts into the floor, put a new seal on the toilet, put the toilet back in place with new bolt caps and water supply line all while keeping the bathroom spotless. He was so easy to work with and really did a great job. I would definitely use him again.

They were very fair in their price. They were running a little late and were very good about calling to let me know when they would get here. It was an overall good experience.

David was able to provide same-day service for my clogged sink. The process was efficient and thorough. He finished the job quickly and answered my questions.

He was able to schedule me in very quickly, came when he said he would and completed the job neatly and professionally.

They went above and beyond the call of duty as far as I am concerned. My father built a homemade shower in my basement, and I thought that there was a leak in the pipes above the shower. The problem was that he built a wooden cabinetry around all of the plumbing work and he was a perfectionist, so once he got it up we could not get it down. When they came out they had to decide whether or not to dismantle all of the cabinetry work, which they did. Following all of the dismantling they found out that the problem was just an old shower head. So they all of that work and all they ended up having to do was replace the shower head. They were at my home all day, and they replaced the shower head and several faucets.They were also able to repair my kitchen sink and several other faucets. When they fixed the leaky kitchen sink, they had to get into the crawl space under the kitchen floor because the main drain into the sewer was broken and leaking. They managed to get into the crawl space and take out the old clay drain pipe and replace it with PVC. They were out at my home from eight in the morning until about four in the afternoon. They were able to get everything fixed or replaced. They did an excellent job. I will most definitely continue using them in the future. This is the second time that they have come out, and I have always been impressed with their professionalism, their know how, and how quick they are. They have reasonable prices.

He was very prompt, thorough, and he gave me a 1 year guarantee on the parts. I will definitely use them again.

He is now my regular plumber. It looks like a totally new bathroom. He's amazing.

I didn't get other estimates and I feel that I should have. I thougt his price was high. He gentleman that came out was very nice and professional. The service was excellent but his price is high. I think it would be worthwhile for people to go out and price parts (quality included) before spending the money to have someone else do the work. I'm happy with the work but feel I could have gotten a better price.

Seamless. All work was completed within two hours with no problems whatsoever. David is responsive, prompt, professional and a pleasure to have working in my home.
