I called Dave on Monday night after hours explaining the toilet was broke and he promptly called me back stating he would be at my home at 10:00 a.m next day. Dave arrived on time and looked at the toilet, immediately knew what was wrong and advised me he needed to go get the part (American Standard Flush Valve). He was back within 15 minutes with the part and then performed his magic and the toilet was flushing again. Explaining to Dave that my cable cord needed fixing he kindly went home and got a tool he needed to repair it and I was able to watch t.v. as well as flush the toilet. I always use Dave as he knows his stuff. Very smart, nice, dependable and professional guy. I never worry about any job when I call Dave. I know he'll fix it.

The man was upfront that this type of job was not in his expertise, but provided some sound advice as to what to consider / ask for from other plumbers. So we ended up hiring someone else, but very much appreciated this man's directness and his advice.

Dave Slawinski was able to schedule an appointment less than a day and a half from when I called him. That made me feel relieved that the issue was going to be addressed soon. He was flexible to accommodate my schedule. He arrived when he said he would and started work immediately. He was obviously experienced and thorough. He removed the blockage (tree roots) in less than 45 minutes, maybe quicker. He made sure the sewer line was working properly before he left. His charge was significantly less than what I have paid a national company in the past. The charge was very affordable. He gave a discount for being an Angie's list member. I would use him again and refer him to others.

We called David Slawinski when the home inspector discovered a water leak at a property we were selling. David was quick to come out and diagnose the problem. (broken sewer pipe) The quote he provided was fair for the extensive amount of work that was going to be provided. He arrived early on the day he scheduled for the work. Got the work done quickly. Cleaned up and even patched the driveway! We were very impressed and couldn't have asked for anything more!! Would highly recommend him to others!

Mr. Slawinski was prompt for appointments, but his lack of plumbing expertise far out ways his promptness. He is also very quick to present an invoice and expect payment. Since our plumbing problem was not fixed by Slawinski Plumbing I will not be recommending this company to our relatives or friends.

Mr. Slawinski came over to diagnose the water leaking through the ceiling. He opened up the drywall in the kitchen ceiling to make a big hole. There was a lot of water and the insulation was sopping. He said the leak came from the bathtub above. He said that water was splashing on the floor when we used the shower and it was dripping down through the floor. He said it acumulated over time and suddenly it all just came through. It seemed a little weird that the water would have just been building up for a while with no prior damage because there was a lot of water. He was rushed. At the time I thought he was just trying to be expediant because he had another job to go to, however his speed ended up with him missing the cause of the leak. We accepted his explanation and paid him. Later that day water was still constantlly dripping from the huge hole in the kitchen ceiling. My husband climbed up and removed a little more insulation. He could then see water constantlly dripping down from one of the ceiling beams. He then traced the water up to the air conditioning unit in the attic. The overflow pipe was backed up and it was causing the leak. Since the leak continued we ended up with additional damage in the kitched and to the second floor. If Mr. Slawinski had taken out a little more of the soppimg insulation he should have been able to see the leak too. We called him to discuss his misdiagnosis. We never received a return call but he hapilly cashed the check for payment.

Slawinski came within about 2 hours of being called was quick efficient and friendly. I felt the price was resonable and will definately use them again.

A plumber who had come out the day before and spent over an hour attempting to clear the tub drain eventually gave up, and told me that he couldn't clear it out. He said the reason was because there was no cleanout installed in my basement when earlier plumbing work had been done there by Dave. He told me the drain was running better (it wasn't), and charged me for his time and labor. I called Dave and he told me on the phone that a new cleanout was totally unnecessary. He told me that if I gave him a half an hour with a snake he'd have the clog removed. It took him about a half hour to clear out my bathtub drain with his snake.

We thought we had a disaster on our hands. And one that would require a ridiculously expensive fix. We could see through an access panel that the stack running through the middle of our 100-year-old house cracked wide open starting at a point just below the first floor ceiling. Water from the second floor shower was spraying out. We were sickened by the thought that we would have to replace the entire stack and rip out walls and who knows what else to get at it. We didn't have a plumber so we consulted Angie's List and chose Slawinski Plumbing & Maintenance based on the reviews/ratings as well as proximity. The company owner, Dave Slawinski, returned our call immediately and scheduled a visit to assess the situation at a time that was convenient for us. His calm and professional manner put us at ease right away. His knowledge and understanding of older homes made such a difference. He was fairly confident that he could replace the damaged section of the stack and not have to replace the whole thing. Having suffered with contractors who pushed to do more than was necessary, it was refreshing to do business with someone who had a very conservative approach to the project. We scheduled a time to do the actual work. (It was not an emergency per se because we had use of the bathroom on the first floor--only the one on the second floor was off limits.) Dave and his helper showed up right on time with all the supplies and tools needed to get the job done. They worked in a quiet, deliberate and efficient manner. Before I knew it, they were done. The estimate he had given us of time and materials was spot on. Concerned about noise, we had requested a cast iron stack instead of PVC. Even though it was a lot more trouble for him, Dave accomodated our request. Working in a very tight space (coat closet) he was able to get the large section of cast iron pipe into the wall without damaging the walls, woodwork, etc.We have nothing but good things to say about the experience. We hope to have no other plumber the rest of the time we are in this house.

He was very helpful. He educated me on the cause and problem with the toilet. His price was reasonable compared to what most people told me about coming out in an emergency.

They were prompt and courteous. Same day estimate with the job completed less than 48 hours later. Will definitely use them again.

Set an appoinment with Slawinski Plumbing do to there high ratings on Angie's list. Wanted to replace 2 outside faucets at my house. They never showed and never called. Was unable to get ahold of them, but left messages on there voicemail and still no return call. Pretty bad customer service in my opinion. Needless to say I'll be going with somebody else

The entire process was efficient from start to finish. My initial phone call was answered immediately (no voice mail to contend with) and I was able to get an appointment right away. I called on a Friday and got an appointment on Monday (I said the kitchen drain was not an emergency). He was right on time for our appointment, worked through all the problems quickly but efficiently, and he was very pleasant to deal with. I actually forgot to mention I was an Angie's List member when I called, but he had no problem taking the discount coupon after giving me a quote and performing the work. So far, everything that he repaired is in good working order. I will definitely call Slawinski Plumbing again in the future and will recommend him to friends and family.

David came out and gave us a bid for a type of shower we were looking for but no one else seemed to know about. The shower he installed was appropriate for a basement bath and was exactly what we were looking for. On the day he came out to do the installation, I threw more tasks at him which were not in the original estimate. He happily added them to the scope of work and completed everything professionally. I will use them in the future whenever they are available.

They are very reputable. They refixed a toilet that some plumbers came and said they could not do anything about. It was good that we did not have to get a new one. Every time they have come, they have taken much less time than I expected them to take. They are very proficient, nimble and always early.

Everything went great. David arrived a little early and got right to work. He was able to replace an additional shut off that he hadn't planned for. He answered some questions for me about some other issues I am having. Overall, he was helpful and informative. The work came out great and he even took away my old sink (one less thing I have to store until bulk trash day).

David arrived on time. He was very professional. He made recommedations on installing grab bars in my mothers bathroom. The work was done in an hour and I was very satisfied with the job.
