Lakewood Exterminating went above and beyond to locate, trap and eradicate the critter from our home. The critter didn't follow the standard path and Shawn went above and beyond his role as the darned thing wouldn't go easily. He moved our appliances to find the intruder and utilized creative means to get it out of our house. He was quick to respond to our need for help; quick to apply his strategy, was great at following up and staying with us through the end.

When we discovered a mouse issue in the attic, Shawn came to our property quickly to give a detailed estimate. Unlike a couple of larger companies, which only wanted to address any active mice, he was willing to do all the work needed to clean up the space and block access points to the house. He was responsive, professional and respectful of our house. We would definitely contact Lakewood Exterminating for any future pest issues.

The exterminator located the source of the infestation and applied spray and bait. The infestation had been removed and has not returned.

I will be hiring Shawn for landscaping, tree-related needs from now on. He explained that, contrary to what others on social media indicated, our tree was not suffering from something alarming, and then he went on to describe ways in which we can mitigate some previous damage to the tree and keep it from rotting in the future. If only every vendor recognized the loyalty they can plant (ha, see what I did there?!) in setting a potential customer's mind at ease. It took awhile for Shawn to be able to fit me in, but once he got here he was super quick and efficient. What I appreciated almost as much as the work that he did, was his knowledge and advice he gave me regarding various plants in my backyard. I will definitely have him back to spray my crab apple trees next spring.

I sent an inquiry to Shawn at Lakewood Plant And Pest to see if he could come out and look at what we were told was bagworm on our blue spruce trees. Shawn was completely honest and told me that he wouldn't be able to come out quickly but it was of the essence to remove all of the bagworms "bags" off of the trees before the eggs in the bags hatching season which was just a few weeks away. Shawn pointed me to online resources about bagworms and provided a recommendation to another firm that could help me get on top of our issue quickly. Shawn also told me that if I had any questions, that he'd be happy to help. We ended up having 3 other companies look at the trees and they all provided different solutions. Each time I received a solution, I sent it to Shawn for his advice. Shawn was so helpful in helping me sort through the solutions and was very upfront about the pro's and con's of each. Shawn also told me that the trees must be in a weakened state if they were being infested by the bagworm. He gave me a lot of advice on what to consider environmentally when treating the trees to try to help them become strong again. I ended up going with the firm that Shawn recommended in our first email exchange. Shawn did not charge me a dime for his advice, he was very patient with all of my questions, and very helpful and knowledgeable about what was wrong with our trees. With Shawn's help, I'm confident that we found the next best solution other than Lakewood Plant and Pest themselves. I would definitely recommend Shawn and Lakewood Plant and Pest. And, if I have problems in the future with any of our trees, he will be the first person I contact!
