He claimed he the best carpenter/installer etc. He is the first and only contractor I have never had give me an estimate at all.

Excellent. Other folks on Angie's List had issues with repairs but our new window / patio door install was great. The fit and finish is perfect. We have renovated 6 homes and replaced windows in all of them, so I know of which I speak. The windows are of a great quality. The installers came on time and cleaned up everything. I can say this was a very good value.

It took several weeks, he broke the original antique glass and replaced it with low quality glass and charged us for everything(including the replacement glass). We have yet to hear back from them on our additional projects (storm windows), but wouldn't go back to them if they offered to do it for free. STEER CLEAR!

Do not use this guy. Save yourself the grief. Ernie took my windows away in July, and 10 months later despite numerous followups, he still has them. They don't return phone calls. He says he'll be by and then doesn't show. He says they're finished, but I just cannot get the guy to give me back my windows. I can't even get him on the phone to tell me how much he's charging me!

I had hired him & told him yes that I wanted it done. He said he would do it & he never showed up or returned my calls!

The work was fine, but there's a complete lack of customer service or urgency. First of all, they offer free pick-up and delivery in Lakewood. They picked up our window frame 2 days after they said they would, and that was only after I called to remind them. It took nearly a month to get the window back. Ernie returned only one of our 4 phone calls to find out when the window would be fixed and returned to us. The one call he did return, his message just acknowledged our previous call, but didn't leave us the information we'd requested. When I finally reached him, I asked why he hadn't returned our messages and he offered excuses: he had the flu, had been out of town, etc. I had to get stern with him to get our window back at all. At that point, he also admitted he had planned to return our window 3 days earlier like we asked, but he just didn't get around to it. Mind you, this was in the middle of winter.

HE WAS TO CALL BACK, AND DIDN'T BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT HE HAD A FAMILY EMERGENCY. HE DID CALL AND CAME OUT, BUT IS SOMEWHAT SLOW. THE WORK HE DID IS GOOD, BUT HE IS VERY DIFFICULT A HOLD OF.

HE DOES GOOD WORK BUT HE IS SLOW - ORDERED MY DOOR IN JUNE AND DID NOT FINISH UNTIL JULY-- HE DOES PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL-NEAT WORK MIGHT USE AGAIN IT WOULD DEPEND ON THE JOB
