He was very good. Checked the whole foundation & was very informative. Eased my worries. Thank you Steve !!!
Description of Work: We had Steve, the owner, look at an area that had a slight crack & last week we had a real bad down pour & there developed a very small leak. He checked a few areas that i thought was a water problem also. He said he could dig & seal from outside , he would have to remove some bricks from the side of the front porch steps to get to it for 2200.00. But he felt that my hubby could go buy a few things for appr. 20.00 & told us where to go to get these things & that it would fix the problem from inside. He said foundation was sound & that what i thought were problems were not. He did say if it wasn't the way we wanted to do it ourselves, or if it didn't fix it , he would come & do it from outside. It would be an all day job, but he wouldn't have to pull out the shrub that was in the area of problem. He was very helpful & i was surprised that he gave us a way to fix it , that we could try before handing out alot of money. He said that with the heavy rains we had last week, he was seeing alot of people with the same issues & said most times using & doing what he told us would work. I would hire him if we need his expertise. It was from reviews from here that made me decide to call him first. We will try what he said & hopefully that will work.

Above the cost of the project, they repaired all but one of my sewer lines exiting the house (have multiple lines as the house was piped for a septic system long time ago). I had received multiple quotes for companies that did interior systems and exterior systems. Their quote, although not the lowest, but when I had consider originally doing the work with super dry basement (their quote came in at $13k) I figured, why just divert the water, but prevent the water from coming into the house by doing the right thing and performing the work on the outside of the house. So I spent the addition $2k to do it right and be done with it. Their guys did great work. Steve had his two sons on the job and two other guys (names are alluding me as I am writing this report months after), and they all were very professional. I would recommend these guys to anyone. The only two complaints which are not major after what I considered the amount of work they performed, but may cause others some heartache 1. They were supposed to come back and pour the sidewalk they had removed from the back side of my house. Yes, this did bother me for some time, but considering where I am planning on building my deck, this may end up being in the way. In either case, this was part of the quote I had paid for, but I considered it a wash with all the adders they could have charged me for the sewer line work. 2. They sewer line exiting my kitchen sink out the back of the house was replaced. They needed to have access in the basement to plumb this back up. The fernco fittings they used was for PVC to PVC and not steel to PVC. At the time, I had thought the PVC wasn't joined properly inside the wall, but then I had noticed the water was leaking from the fitting between the PVC 90 leaving the house and the steel riser. I was able to replace this easily, but when I was contacting Steve, he kind of blew me off and just eventually stopped calling back. That did upset me, as I was more than willing to work with him on this and had offered to pay additional. Steve did remind me that they were not plumbers, which concerned me that they were originally working on my sewer lines. All in all, it was a great job and I would recommend these guys on top of the issues I had. I consulted many engineers in regards to the material and procedures they use (I work in the engineering world) and what Integrity uses is all commercial grade construction, which is way more than most waterproofers use (dig down, replace tile, tar, and back fill with stone) Great system they install, and even with all the rain we have had in April, I have been dry. It is nice to no longer have puddles in my basement when it rains! Hey Steve, I completely agree with your response. My issues were minor and after I had assessed things and the amount of additional work your guys did without any "change orders", I would use you guys again without any questions and I do appreciate the work and the additional you guys did. The minor leak in the line was more of a panic as I had thought it was coming originally from outside. Once I had figured out it was the fernco fitting inside, this didn't bother me at all. Keep up the good work!
Description of Work: I have a 1300 square foot ranch with an attached garage. Integrity performed work on the three exposed sides of my house, digging down to replace the footer tile with pvc, repaired cracks on the block wall, sealed the exposed walls with an elastomeric coating (sets up like a stretchable inner tube bike tire), wrapped the entire foundation in a poly-vinyl dimpled jacket, and back filled with washed river stone.

I appreciate this members endorsement. It is particularly gratifying coming from an engineer. I agree that our communication should have been better in this case. It is important to point out however that while the cement work was contracted for, it was never paid for. This member and I agreed that he would withhold $500.00 until the concrete was poured. We did do extra work, ie the sewer lines at no additional charge for either labor or materials. I have to admit that I was a little taken back when asked to return for a minor leak in one of the lines we repaired for free. All in all, I am happy to have met this couple, and am pleased they had me out to explain the benefits of correcting the cause of the seepage, and keeping the water out all together, (waterproofing), rather than allowing the water to enter, only to pump it back out, (water control)

Description of Work: I inquired about a leak in my basement. The owner came out and gave me an estimate. Very nice man and very informative. I didn't use the system because to do it right would have required ripping up my garage floor in order to get access to all four walls of the basement. This was not even included in the price.

I called this company to provide an estimate for water proofing our basement. I was given an honest opinion that I needed to call a structural engineer to provide guidance on how to proceed with the foundation. He stated that he would not feel comfortable performing any work until he had a report. I appreciated his honesty tremendously, as he could have told me anything at that point.

Steve came out to consult with us on options regarding a damp room in the basement. He recommended a few simple options for us to try that would be little or no cost instead of spending any money with him. He was very honest, and does indeed have integrity, a couple traits that are not common enough in the industry! In contrast, we had another contractor that came out and wanted us to spend over $8000 to "repair" the issues.

The procedure went very smooth. Steve truly proved his integrity from the first day we met him. He was very supportive of us and our situation. The crew was prompt and courteous and treated us with respect. The job site was well-kept, they cleaned up after themselves, and they completed the job in a very timely fashion. I waited for over a year to "rate" Steve - just to make sure the basement held up through all the Ohio seasons. I inspect every inch of the walls every time it rains, the snow thaws, etc. So, as for the water in the basement - there is none! We are now looking into getting our basement finished so we can enjoy it once again. I would highly recommend Steve Allen and Integrity Waterproofing.
Description of Work: Integrity Waterproofing performed exterior basement/foundation waterproofing. After a different company was not able to solve our basement water problems with an interior drainage system, Steve Allen/Integrity Waterproofing recommended and installed an exterior re-waterproofing system on our basement foundation. After laying down planks for their vehicles to drive on our lawn, his crew removed our landscaping and excavated the perimeter of our home. They removed the 30-year old deteriorated waterproofing material, the crushed footer drains, etc. They inspected the concrete block by block, and made necessary repairs and patches. They then applied the latest state-of-the-art waterproofing process. Which involved 3 separate waterproofing layers. They installed new footer drains and necessary drain pipes for the spouting. They replaced the previous dirt by backfilling with gravel, then topsoil on top. They graded the landscaping and placed our shrubs back in place.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience with Integrity Waterproofing. They were prompt, friendly, and professional. They worked very hard to get the job done in a timely manner, and also took great care when working with our lawn and our home. They explained the process thoroughly, and answered any questions we had. Since the waterproofing we haven't had any issues with water leaking into our crawlspace. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to waterproof their basement.
Description of Work: We hired Integrity Waterproofing to fix our leaking crawlspace. They excavated down to the footer tile of the crawlspace, installed new footer tile piping, incorporated the gutter downspouts into the line, and installed clean outs for the footer tile that were previously unavailable. Then they addressed the exterior cracks in the exterior wall with hydraulic cement, coated the wall with an elastic rubber paint, and then screwed in a drainage plastic membrane. Afterwards they filled in most of the excavated area with some high quality river rocks for better drainage, and filled in the remaining area with quality top soil.

The interaction was very good. We got part of the way through the project on the side and then we noticed water damage in the front of the house and they were able to schedule and continue the project to the front of the house. They were very professional, the guys on the site were very respectful and knew what they were doing. The quality of the work was very high.
Description of Work: Integrity Waterproofing did exterior water proofing on the side of our house and the entire front all the way down to the drain pipe.
We think that the job went very well. The main part of the work was done in the 3rd week of September, as expected. The crew of 3 men was very efficient and kept us informed of each step of their work, so that we would understand what they were doing. They really made an effort to make sure that we were happy and satisfied with what was happening around our house. For example, when they replanted our front shrubs (on Day 2), the placement of 2 shrubs was not quite right, but they repositioned them as soon as I pointed out the correct locations. On their last visit, when they replaced some brick patio stones that had been removed to do the cement work, they took additional time to make sure that the stones were level and fit tightly -- they didn't just put them back in place haphazardly. Finally, we were both impressed at how friendly and upbeat the guys were during the entire project. They gave the impression that they enjoyed their work and that our satisfaction came first.
Description of Work: In July Steve Allen of Integrity Waterproofing evaluated the basement wall where we had noted symptoms of moisture penetration. The wall where we had seen problems ran along our driveway. He also examined the adjacent walls, at the back and front of our house. He concluded that, although we did not have an imminent problem, moisture in the walls would eventually cause deterioration. The walls that would require waterproofing were the wall along the driveway-side of the house, a 4-ft long section at the back of the house, and a section at the front of the house from the driveway to our front door. He then explained his waterproofing process and gave us a written estimate. He expected that this work would be done in September. The actual work consisted of removing 6 shrubs that formed the landscaping at the front of our house, digging a trench along the basement walls, removing all of the moisture-soaked dirt, waterproofing the walls with 3 types of barrier materials, installing a drainage pipe along the length of those walls (a drainage pipe had never been put there in the 1st place), backfilling the trench with gravel that will allow water to drain down to the pipe, and then covering over the gravel. At the front of the house, Integrity covered the gravel with top soil and replanted our shrubs. The shrubs were back in the ground withing 24 hours of being removed. Along the side and back of our house, the gravel was covered by a strip of cement. Prior to this work, the surface area next to the basement wall along the side of our house had been covered by 4 rows of rectangular cement paving blocks. The pavers made for a very uneven surface and individual blocks had cracked and crumbled. Integrity paved over this entire strip with cement. Previous owners of our house had also put down several rows of cement blocks along the length of the front portion of our driveway, in order to widen it. Integrity also replaced these blocks with a strip of concrete, upon our request, even though this was not needed to complete the waterproofing task. The entire job took 3 days. The Integrity crew returned to our house 2 more times in the next 10 days, to wrap up loose ends (like replacing some brick patio stones that had to be removed prior to the cement work) that had to wait until the concrete had sufficiently cured.

They did a good job. I liked the way their whole waterproofing system was set up. Their price was up there. They said they were going to put a cleanout stack at the end of the house and ended up putting it right next to my door, alongside the house. It is kind of part of the driveway, so now I end up hitting the thing with my snowblower. They did not put it where it was supposed to be put. They got done with the main part of the work but then they had to fill in along the edge of the concrete, fill in the dirt, replant the grass and do all that little stuff. They wanted payment in full before they finished that. I refused to pay them until they finished that, and the guy got a little put out about that. He did not show up and I told him that he needs to come out and finish the job. The next day he was here. That was the only thing that was a little shady for me; if he had gotten the payment, he wouldn?t have come back. I probably would use them again in the future.

Dealing with Steve Allen and his crew was a pleasure. They were friendly and very accommodating. Steve's sons, Mike and Craig work the crew, and they along with their indispensable man Mario made the whole process go quickly. They protected our lawn from trucks and cleaned up beautifully when finished. The day after they finished we had 1 1/4" of rain, and a dry basement. I made the right choice, and they gave us a 20 year warranty!
Description of Work: Integrity excavated the walls of my basement that were accessible, reinforced the walls with wall pins and concrete, did a three step waterproofing process including a elastomeric membrane and a dimpled drainage mat. They snaked the remaining lines around the basement and to the street. They replaced the drain tile and installed 5 cleanouts. They backfilled with washed gravel, installed a filter fabric and finished with topsoil. Because of level differences between the new and existing footer tile, they cut a channel in the basement floor to run a line to my sump, then repaired the channel with concrete.

Steve and his team are fantastic. I had been told by another "water control system" company that my walls were terrible and about to fall in, how false this was as I was basically lied to. Steve was very responsive, came out and accessed the situation. He gave me many options and said the walls were fine and that I definitely could waterproof them if I wanted to, but it was not something that need to be imminently. Overall I felt that I could trust Steve and that I knew the work would be done properly.
