We had Imperial remodel our kitchen and attached bath in 2022. We had issues with Imperial throughout the project and we were never sure of costs or when things would be done. In fact, once the contract was signed Imperial rarely communicated with us unless we called them. Imperial is way understaffed. They had one guy working on multiple houses at the same time which meant our house was at a standstill while he was someplace else. My question is why do they only have one guy doing most of the work? Delays occurred when the shower door and vanity top had to be reordered a few times because the wrong size arrived and couldn’t be installed. I guess the third time is the charm. The under counter lights would not come on or we’d loose power in the kitchen. The baseboard heater in the bath didn’t work but instead of believing me when I complained I was told how highly rated the brand is. After complaining all winter it finally got fixed in the spring. They tried to substitute accessories we ordered in the showroom with different ones so we ended up purchasing some elsewhere at our expense. But the last straw is we did not receive the high end cabinets we paid for. There were issues with paint flaws, seams separating and wood cracking. Doors and cabinets had to be replaced. Recently two installers came out to replace a cabinet and put a long scratch in the floor. But instead of offering a solution for repairing the floor the owner denied responsibility. It pains me to write a negative review because we like the individual who did most of the work but we would not recommend using Imperial due to the issues we had with them.

Response from Imperial Home Center, Inc.
This client was delivered a beautiful project, on-time and on budget This review is this person's retribution for our unwillingness to take responsibility for a floor that was damaged by others and blamed on our workmen. We were told by this client that if we refused to repair her floor that she would go on-line with bad reviews. Her threat was carried through, not just on Angie but on other on-line sites as well. To follow are my responses to several of the false statements made Project costs and Timelines: This customer requested several project changes and was provided change order documents approved in writing with exact costs and informed of extended lead times caused by the changes Communication: Communication was good. Phone calls and text messages were always promptly returned. We met with her in-person in her home many, many times. Jobsite meetings with Project Coordinator and Installer conducted at least once or twice a week. Staffing: We assign installers only one job at a time. The installer took 30 working days to complete the kitchen up to counter-top template. Counters required 2 weeks to be built and installed. Kitchen completed two weeks afterwards. Product Substitutes: From the beginning no bath accessories were included This client chose to purchase her own accessories for us to install. Cabinet Specifications and Quality: Cabinets installed exactly as specified in the contract and exactly as they were shown in our showroom Every door or drawer face was replaced by the manufacturer and Imperial without question as to how minor the imperfections to fit and finish. Her cabinets are near perfect. Scratch in Floor: We absolutely deny scratching this floor. Our solution was to allow a third party to determine fault. I put in a claim with our insurance company. The insurance investigator refused the claim because it was obvious who was at fault. Paul Hodge General Manager Imperial Home Center

Below average. Personnel assigned to our job did below average work. Several deficiencies in the work were identified by us (owners) which required multiple re-visits by the company. Exhaust fan has minimal draw which has created multiple issues in the bathroom, including rusting light fixtures and moisture damage. We have not heard back from Imperial after repeated attempts to contact them to discuss issues and how to resolve. At this point, we would not trust them to remedy the problems. We would not recommend them.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of main bathroom. All walls and floor were removed, new plumbing, wiring and sink/tub were installed.

The work was late. They used shoddy materials and did not install the floor or toilet properly. The shower door is cheap and is wobbly to open and close. I called to let them know the toilet was leaking 9 months after it was installed. It took another three months to get them to show up to repair the toilet. They still never repaired the floor tile they would repair. The tile feel lose when you step on it.

This work was shoddy. The materials were not high quality and when I called to report the toilet they had installed 8 months before was leaking it took three months for them to show up and do a repair. They have yet to come back and finish the repair. I paid over 25000 for this poor work.

the last project we did was a bathroom remodel and their supplier failed to provide one cabinet on time and was late getting to us to complete the project. However, Imperial more than made up for the error by constructing their own cabinet to install until the original came in. they also deducted the price of the cabinet from the final bill. As it turned out, the original came in at the same time the substitute was ready and they gave us the extra cabinet for no charge. They were in contact with us weekly about the progress of the project.
Description of Work: We have used Imperial for several bath and kitchen projects and they have always come through for us, providing no-pressure, objective advice and offering or finding the products we were looking for. They really take their time with us, never rush us, and provide quality installation.

The bathroom is amazing looking. The work was done meticulously and many of the previously unknown/unseen flaws in the old bathroom were corrected (rotted stink pipe, loose drain in shower. The tile work in the shower stall and floor are 'works of art'. Seriously. Every line is straight, every tile lined up perfectly, every cut is 'plum' and the room is a pleasure to look at and use. Brian was prompt, a pleasure to have around (one of my favorite contractors ever!) and easy to work with. The combination of personality and professionalism is rare in any setting, but Brian was both.
Description of Work: We had a small basement (full) bathroom remade. The work included demolition of the existing bathroom- ceiling, partial wall, fiberglass shower, toilet, vinyl flooring, exhaust fan and some ductwork. Also, it was discovered that there was a rotted 'stinkpipe' and some issue with the old shower drain- both of which were repaired, including some concrete floor work and plumbing. Brian, the subcontractor from Imperial, put in a new blueboard ceiling and exhaust fan, re-routed the heating/AC duct to exhaust from the ceiling. Installed a new toilet, wooden baseboard, porcelain tile floor, subway-tile shower stall and chrome finished fixture. Grouted all the tile also.

Our old kitchen was the original, 48 year old one that was installed when the house was built. The cabinets and flooring were literally worn out. It was so bad that opening a drawer would cause wood shavings from the old wooden guides to fall into the lower drawer. In addition, there was only a little over two feet between the refridgerator and peninsula. When someone was in the fridge, all traffic stopped. The Tuesday after Labor Day, Imperial started the demolishion which included removing cabinets, floors (including the subfloor) soffits and a few selected doors. Greg and Sammy did a great job and were approachable and willing to gently remove a few cabinets I wanted to save for the garage. The next step involved Dave and Brian. They handled the electrical upgrades, ceiling reconfiguration, cabinet and flooring installation and tile setting. They were thorough and professional. Undoubtedly, it was a long process that at times seemed to be without end. But looking at the reality of what was done and how extensive the remodel was, it was worth it. We ended up with a beautiful, modern kitchen, flooring that is the most beautiful we've ever seen, a safe and reliable electrical system that extends all the way back to the upgraded service panel, more storage and room to move. We'd like to especially thank Mark, our designer and main contact. He is a visionary. We discussed what we wanted and he came up with a design that was exactly what we wanted and was affordable. Affordable being an operative term. He kept in contact with us during the entire project and handled any questions or concerns. If he was unavailable, Paul got us the answers we needed and followed up to make sure we were satisfied. We were extremely pleased at how the few, unexpected hiccups we encountered were immediately rectified. A major kitchen remodel is a very involved, detailed process that could cause a major disruption in a familys life. The staff at Imperial Home Centers did an exemplary job of ensuring continuity of process which helped make our lives easier during this project. We would definitely consider them for any major remodels.
Description of Work: Imperial completely gutted our old, worn out kitchen and replaced it with a beautiful, redesigned masterpiece.

From the time we met Ron at showroom to completion of job it went like clockwork. From the picking of the tile & fixtures they were a great help. Job took approximately 2 weeks to complete. Dave & Brian our installers arrived on time every day even giving my wife a call before arrival so my wife could corral the pets. Very helpful if your a pet owner. They would work 8 hours every day and clean up after. Install called for a complete strip of bathroom laying new tiles floor & walls, installing new shower with seat, toilet & fixtures along with new medicine cabinet, vanity & fixtures. Also new hot water tank. At the last minute we decided on a new shower door which delayed finish but again not much of a problem.

It went extremely well. Bryan, the main contractor is a perfectionist, and made sure it was done to our liking. He worked weekends to complete the job on time. Mark, our contact at Imperial Homes, was a professional in every sense of the word. He truly cared about our needs and the importance of getting it done on time. I would highly recommend this company.

As stated above, the bathroom needed to be completely torn down to the bare studs, a door removed to allow for enlarging the shower. Plumbing fixtures needed to be moved to accommodate the new shower configuration. A back wall was added to the shower to allow for moving a heat vent on the floor. A half wall was built as part of the shower for the vanity to be attached to and glass doors and marble were made part of the shower. A new vanity mirror with two light sconces was put up, a new vanity with banjo top, and new toilet installed. Light switches had to be moved and made separate from the current switches. A combination heat light and vent was placed in the ceiling and can lights in shower. A brand new closet cabinet was built behind the door and new tiles put down on the floor. All of this came at a very reasonable price especially compared to the other estimates we received. Ron the salesman was very helpful with the design and throughout the whole project. The workmen, Bert and Miguel were wonderful workers. They arrived on time every day, worked until everything that could be done that day was finished. They communicated with us about everything being done so that when problems arose, they were handled smoothly. We have been completely pleased with the work and plan to use this company again for future projects.
Description of Work: Everything needed to be removed including toilet, sink, vanity, shower, trim, flooring to subfloor, drywall & ceilings as needed for new layout and removing subfloor as needed for plumbing relocations. Bathroom currently has two doors so one was removed to make room for shower to be enlarged. Framing was done for new layout, insulate as needed, install walls and ceiling as needed, tape & finish drywall, sand ready for paint, new trim, new cabinetry and all accessories, prep all new trim ready for paint. Install flooring & tile and grout new tile. Cultured marble surround walls & ceiling panels in shower. Removal of all construction debris, drawing for permits to city for approval. Install all plumbing and electrical requirements and accessories; mirrors, bars, rings, grab bars, light fixtures, etc.

Great communication! Love how reasonable and helpful Darla and Dave were. Once the project got started, there a couple of plans that had to be modified. We had planned on taking the wall down, however once they opened the wall up it was clear we would not be able to finish taking it down. So Darla was very helpful in making a plan B for the area. We were also going to try and re-finish the floors once the linoleum was removed. We weren't able to re-finish the hardwood floor, but Dave and Darla worked keeping within the budget finding creative solutions so we could afford putting new hardwood floors without going over budget. From start to finish Darla was able to provide us with a design and execute it with the imperial home center team keeping true to our budget and ideas. She was very creative working with our small kitchen and complicated layout to achieve our goals of more countertop and cabinet space.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel. Our entire kitchen was updated. Cabinets were removed and replaced. The drop ceiling was removed and replaced with dry wall. The floors updated with hardwood. Our electrical and lighting was updated and plumbing added for a dishwasher. One of our windows were resized to counter height in increase counter space. All new appliances were installed and a dishwasher added.

EXCELLENT! Hassle free from design to completion. Ron, our salesman, made sure we were getting the kitchen we wanted. Dave, Brian and Tony, the crew, were professional and easy to work with. They cleaned up each night and answered all my questions. The few minor changes we asked for were never a problem. Any problems we did encounter were solved ASAP. The punch list was so minor, it was completed in a couple of hours. I can not say enough about Imperial. They were FABULOUS.
Description of Work: Total kitchen and powder room remodel. Took out walls, rerouted electric, reconfigured ceiling fixtures, removed textured ceiling and put a skim coat for a flat ceiling, replaced floor with ceramic tile, installed Holiday Kitchen frameless cabinets with self closing draws and doors, granite countertops and Boos butcher block island. The kitchen now has an open floor plan, an island that seats 5 easily (7 if needed), 39 inch upper cabinets with lots of storage, large pantry. The granite counter tops and butcher block island are gorgeous. There is enough work space so 2 or 3 people can work in the kitchen at the same time. Our guests can now gather in the kitchen and not be in the work area. It is my dream kitchen.

Darla was beyond professional and helpful during the whole entire process. We never once had an issue dealing with her. She was patient with us and helped to design a classy bathroom, which was an upgrade to a house that was not up to standards and very old. It started out smoothly with the tear-out. We had different contractors in for each activity: one for tiling, one for dry walling, and a separate plumber. The tiles on the floor were placed incorrectly twice. The tiles were completed in the bathtub/shower first and those came out looking great! But the flooring was an issue. Next, the drywall has a lot of bubble in is. The seams are not flat and a lot of air was trapped behind the tape that they used. We had to ask twice for them to return to fix the corners. Thirdly, we were given permission to begin using the shower. After three days of use, our kitchen ceiling collapsed because of water damage! There was a hole in the pipes that connected the shower to the water source. Once we flipped that switch to turn on the shower head, water streamed out of the pipes and collected along the flooring behind the walls (unbeknownst to us until the kitchen ceiling came down). They were very prompt in coming to fix it, and paid for all of the damage, which we really appreciated. The final thing that went wrong: They cemented the new pedestal sink to our band new floor, and then connected the new light fixture to the wall. The light is not in center with the sink. It's at least 6 inches off. We couldn't do anything about it because there is a hole in the brand new walls for where they connected all of the electric, and the sink is permanently placed. Also, they did not measure the light switch covers. They left them open for things to dry. Once we placed all of the light switch covers on, there is a 1/2 inch gap between the cover and the wall. We're just going to have to go out and buy something wider to cover the hole. I know people will think we should have called them to fix it, but after so many issues, we had just had enough. To remain positive though, they were all very nice individuals and very hard-working. There were just too many things that did not go well for how much money we paid for something that we were told would take 2 weeks. A month later and we are finally painting.

Disappointing review. Our project execution should have been better. The leak in the shower was costly, embarrassing, and horribly inconvenient for the Client. Completely our fault. We laid down some factory blemished tiles that we were asked to remove and replace. In hindsight, we should have stopped the job and ordered new tiles right away. We accept this tough criticism and will strive to execute near-perfect installation projects in the future. Our apologies to the Client. We will attempt to reach out to her and offer to correct the centering of the light fixture and adjust the light switch.

I really liked the folks at Imperial. I got three estimates for this work and they were slightly less than the highest bid. I sat down with Darla and picked out all of my options with the insert, valves, etc. They originally penciled me in for the work about 7 weeks out but an opening occurred and they were able to get me in much sooner than that. The crew I had was very punctual (7:45am every morning), clean (they vacuumed every day before leaving), and had an amazing attention to detail. They even did some custom tile work with my old tiles to fill in a small gap. I would not hesitate to use them again and I would recommend them to anyone. They are not the cheapest guys in town but you get what you pay for and they delivered a quality end product.

Working with Mark Yusko at Imperial Home Center was great from start to finish. He is a no-pressure guy with many years of experience and he made several excellent suggestions. Based on our preferences, he guided us to an upper mid-level cabinet supplier, and helped us make just the right selections on height of cabinets, decorative side panels, and furniture grade finishes. Instead of a costlier one-piece 54" vanity, we selected two drawer 15" cabinets mounted on either side of a 24" sink base. After a few rounds of discussion, it was clear that Mark gave us a very good price -- that allowed us the obtain the best quality cabinetry for our budget. The cabinets were ordered well in advance of the actual installation date and arrived on time and in very good condition. Waypoint Living Spaces sent us a very nice gift basket as a way of saying thanks. As corny as that may seem, we have a very good feeling about that supplier, especially after seeing the flawless furniture grade linen-colored painted finish on solid maple. There was some confusion about the color and thickness of the trim material to be used to fill in the ~3/16" recess between the side of the cabinet . This filler is needed in order for the decorative panel to be flush with the face frame. Mark expedited the re-ordering process for the correct material, and that came just in time for the vanity installation. Mark also helped us select a style of granite for the counter-top. Although it is a fairly common material, Luna Pearl, the supplier Mark recommended did not have any in stock. We ordered that separately from a different supplier (see my separate review for that). We were very pleased with Mark and the folks at Imperial Home Center , and would readily recommend them to others.

Several years ago, I gave them a $5-6000 down payment for some kitchen work. Before the services could be performed, some personal things happened and Darla, from the company, called to tell me and give me my money back because they would not be able to do the work. The person who came to give the estimate was very professional.

Our dated tile shower was torn out, as well as the wall dividing it from the vanity area. The dividing wall was rebuilt as a half-wall, with new tile on the shower side and frameless glass above the wall. This opened up the view into the small bathroom to make it look larger. The top of the half-wall was capped with cultured marble applied at a slight angle to enable water to run back into the shower. The old aluminum-framed shower door and curb were removed and replaced with a frameless glass shower door and cultured marble curb to match the cap. The shower head was raised after the walls and soffit were removed, and is now at a more comfortable height. A lovely shampoo niche for the shower was built, the back wall of which had mosaic tile added to match the mosiac stripe running horizontally around the shower walls. The old mosaic shower floor was torn out and replaced with a matching cultured marble (one piece) floor. The shower walls were expertly tiled in an attractive verticle pattern. The drain cover and drain elbow were replaced. The soffit and ceiling light over the shower were removed and replaced with a ceiling at a height flush with the remaining ceiling. A new can light was installed in the new shower ceiling. The original tile baseboards in the room were removed as well as the old vinyl floor. A new porcelain floor and porcelain baseboards were installed. When they replaced the vanity, that had to be removed for construction demo, they repositioned it about an inch from the wall in order for the drawers to no longer hit the door frame molding. Then they closed off the new opening between the vanity and the wall with stained wood to fill the gap. They also suggested adding, and did add, a recessed toe-kick valance under the vanity to keep dropped items from rolling to the back wall. That has worked out very well. They returned a couple times after the bathroom was finished to make adjustments and deal with minor issues that had not been completed to my satisfaction. They accommodated my work schedule for those repeat visits, which I greatly appreciated. All of their crew were talented, personable, hard working, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to please their customer. I highly recommend them. Since the installation I have had concerns about the glass shower door slowly lowering and eventually rubbing the top capped surface of the half wall. They decided to have a glass door specialist make the adjustment and bill them for his time. The specialist has come out to reposition the door upwards and tighten the screws on the hinges twice in the last 12 months. Both times there was a delay because of the specialist's busy work schedule. When I hired Imperial I was told that if their customers are not pleased with any part of the job, they would come out and make it right, which they continue to do as necessry. I'm very pleased with their commitment to their customers.
Description of Work: I wanted to update my small master bath and make it appear larger. In order to do this, the shower and vinyl floor needed to be torn out and replaced, and the wall dividing the shower and vanity needed to be redesigned, all of which was a bigger job than I had realized going into the project. The vanity, medicine cabinet, storage cabinet and toilet had to be removed and replaced in order for them to demo the room, build the shower and lay the floor. In addition, the soffit over the shower was removed and a new ceiling was created over the shower with a new can light. The dividing wall was rebuilt as a half-wall. Porcelin walls, floor and base boards were installed in an attractive pattern, and a shower niche for shampoo was created. All of these improvements worked together to make the room look attractvie and larger than before.

We went to their showroom and met Mark who we hit it off with right away. He has a great sense of humor and made us feel very comfortable. He showed us around and got a general idea of what we liked, then helped us to pick out specific finishes, etc. He came out and looked things over, gave us an estimate and we signed a contract. I think they started a couple weeks later. Dave did most of the work by himself (with some occasional help from his son.) He was there every day, on time for about 2 weeks. He was very nice. He could have done a better job of covering things up to protect a little more from all the dust and his attention to detail left a little something to be desired, but overall he did a good job. There were a few things we wanted tweeked and they were more than willing to work with us to finish things the way we wanted. Frank did the finishing up of the little details at the end and was extremely helpful and nice. I am very happy with how things turned out. We did not get other quotes, so I'm not sure if the price was good or not. We purchased almost everything from them. Honestly, they were all very nice and professional to work with. I am undecided whether or not I would use them again.
Description of Work: We had an old back porch off the kitchen that had previously been closed in and turned into a pantry. This also included a toilet in a closet with a folding door. They tore the whole thing down to the studs and insulated the 3 outside walls and dry walled. Also, tore out and drywalled the ceiling. They installed a new divider wall to make a half bath which included a pocket door. The new half bath included plumbing and electrical (new toilet, custom wood vanity, granite counter top, under mount sink, faucet, matching granite back splash, 4-light fixture, wood frame mirror that matched the cabinet.) The other half of the space was an alcove for the refrigerator with a shelf above it, and opposite, a new pantry closet with new shelves. They also provided us with a new Armstrong Luxury Vinyl Floor w/ Grout throughout the new pantry, half bath, entire kitchen and down 3 stairs w/ landing.

I really appreciated the company's professionalism and responsiveness
Description of Work: Imperial remodeled my kitchen about 4 1/2 years ago. I was very satisfied with the work. I had granite counter tops installed with a new sink as part of the remodel. This part of the job was subcontracted. A few weeks ago, my sink ( an under counter unit) came loose from the granite counter top and dropped out. Imperial was really under no obligation to repair this problem, since the warrentee on the work was only for one year. They immediately responded to my call however. They were unable to get the granite sub-contractor to repair the problem, so they came to my home and reinstalled the sink. They did all of this without any charge. I don't think anyone could ask for more!!!!

He answered all of our questions and spent quite a bit of time talking to us. I went to the showroom a couple of days later and he said we would get a quote from him soon, but we never heard back from him. We got a couple of other estimates in the mean time and we are probably going to go with one of them. They did work for us in the past and did a good job, so we would probably contact them again.
Description of Work: Imperial Home Center came out to give an estimate for a bathroom.

The guy who came was John and he was perfectly fine. He did get back quickly and so on. The estimate was about $13000. I would consider using them in the future.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Imperial Home Center Inc about 2 weeks ago for a complete small bath remodeling.
