I wished to have a number of general repair/update jobs done by Mr. Gibson, based on the strength of his Angie's List rating as well as recommendations from family. I needed the work done reasonably quickly, but Mr. Gibson's quote did not come until several weeks and several followup calls after he reviewed the work to be done. Then, when I reviewed and agreed to the quote and asked him when he could schedule the work, he repeatedly told me " in a week or two," asked me to call him back for specifics, which I did, about 8-10 times. Toward the end of this long string of calls, now about two months after his first visit, he finally admitted to me that he was backed up on other work, and was not sure when he could get to me. I was forced to have the most urgent work done by someone else, but when I then e-mailed him asking if he was willing to do the rest of the work, he did not respond (or, if he did, I did not receive his response). I understand that Mr. Gibson's work has a great reputation and that as a result he is probably very busy. However, like Mr. Gibson, my time is valuable. I expect occasional followup, and I do *not* expect to be told the work can be scheduled within a few weeks, which is what he kept telling me pretty much every time I was able to catch him on the phone, if in fact it cannot be. I regret that I am not willing to work with Mr. Gibson or his company, in spite of these recommendations and his reputation for quality work, because I need to be able to trust that when I am told something, then, barring extraordinary circumstances beyond that persons' control, it is going to happen.

It went very well. He arrived on time and introduced himself and his brother who was assisting him. He gave me his business card, and I proceeded to show him the job that I called him for. He evaluated the job and he determined what tools he would need to remove the cornices and the hardware. They removed the one cornice over the patio door, and were able to show me where the draperies were so heavy on one side of window that the draperies were pulling the hardware from the wall. The contractor carefully removed the hardware to avoid further damage to the wall. They carried the cornice to the storage area in my garage. They removed the other cornice that ran the length of the wall, over 7' long. They did the same fine work in removing it and placing it in my garage. They adjusted the hardware on my front door so it would close more securely. I didn't even ask, they just said "This needs to be tightened so it will close better." and they made the adjustment. Great contractor. I'm estatic that I was able to find a reliable contractor on Angie's List.

He cleaned up the area well and did the work efficiently.

When I purchased the Big Deal, I called him right away. He came out that day to see what needed done. He came out the next day and completed the work. He did a really good job!

It didn't go at all: there was absolutely no communications from the contractor of any kind. No email, no phone, no communications.

I am satisfied with the services provided. I would use them again.

I called James Gibson he responded within the day, came to house, and e-mailed me a quote the next day. Once I agreed to the price they were there within the week to do the job. Even though drywall is a dirty job they cleaned up very well and there were no dust issues in my house.

James and his crew were on time, professional, and kept busy throughout the day. They cleaned up every day making the site neat and safe. James and his brother are experienced and their creative thinking process brings about solutions to problems that will arise during the average big job. Gibson General Contracting is an excellent choice for any contracting work inside or out!

Very happy with the result. The floors look great. The walls, doors and trim look great. There was a huge amount of trim. Job was done on schedule using his own people. Price very good. Owner is very professional and takes a lot of pride in doing a good job. He enjoys doing quality work.

I needed 2 garage door openers installed on my garage. Because of how the garage is configured, some extra framing was required. They also installed security lighting on 3 sides of the garage. I was very satisfied with the work and would hire them again.

Gibson was recommended by a friend. He visited, looked at the window and the walls we wanted redone, gave us an estimate and started the next day. He was finished the following day. He was prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. We were very pleased at the quality of his work. He cleaned up after he was finished.

My 90+ year old garage has seen some sorry modifications and expansions over the years. As a result, the overhang that was built as part of one of these expansions was actually falling away from the main structure. James was able to remove and rebuild most of the overhang, as well as install new supporting structure to prevent further sagging. He also tore out and replaced the gutters and some rotted siding on the back of the garage. All the work was done on schedule and on-budget.
