Description of Work: Replaced some a couple rows of lap siding.

Description of Work: Total tear off and replacement of a front porch. Repair and staining of back deck. Parts of deck needed to be replaced, repaired and a wall re-anchored. Once the job was started it went smoothly and quickly. The crew was very courteous and professional. It just took a long time between the visit for the estimate and scheduling, but that was due to the contractor being busy. I had a hard time finding a contractor to fulfill even coming out and giving me an estimate. It just is a difficult process. We haven't really used contractors before so maybe this is all pretty standard, but we didn't realize that going in. I would suggest planning well in advance. We had hoped to get these things done in the summer -- I started looking for contractors in mid to late May -- Gibson came and gave me an estimate in late June. Work didn't start 'til late September. Again, not necessarily their fault I don't think -- just the nature of process I'm thinking. All in all we were well pleased with their work and we're thrilled with the end products.

The estimate came within a day or two of the first visit and was very reasonable, the communication was excellent. I chose another person solely on the time frame. Mr. Gibson picked up on several small issues the other two contractors did not mention, which was appreciated.

Description of Work: Mr. Gibson brought along a 'helper' to cut the time in half. Basically, all that was performed in what I maintain to be 1 hour and 25 minutes was his helper installed a screw-in type of shower hose and Mr Gibson put together an outdoor type of fireplace grill which took about 20 minutes for each of them.other than that, he looked at 3 points of plumbing or three sink area to tell me if they were working alright as I had requested. Two were fine but the one under the kitchen sink needed a new disposal to be replaced to eliminate the large amounts of water that had been leaking out for about 2 -6 days at that time. Mr Gibson advised that I put a bucket underneath the leak, which was slow to stop the accumulation of water under the sink. All was performed that day except for the disposal replacement. We initially agreed that he would come by the next weekend to go out with me to get the disposal and install this. I put that off for a couple of months as my husband was dying at home from a rare disease that affects the brain, and I was taking care of him full time. I called Mr Gibson out in September to replace the disposal with the one I had purchased per his instructions.I was very surprised when he was leaving and told me I now owed him anther $60 for the time to install -too bad I was never informed of this prior to hm doing this! I am sure he could tell I was perturbed, but I just decided I would never use his services again after this. now the real problem comes in as of a couple of weeks ago when a serviceman who is also a friend whom I have trusted for 10 years came by to do some electrical work for me. He started with the items I had asked him to address by first looking under my kitchen sink( as I had again been noticing it was getting wet underneath there on occasion). After several minutes, he knew what it was from- it appears that when the disposal was installed, the hose that attaches from the disposal to dishwasher was never re-attached He then wanted to make sure how much leaking had been done, and asked about how many times I run the dishwasher, to which I replied 'only about once per week'. He then figured that since the new disposal was installed by Mr Gibson in late September until now, the first weeks in March, there had to be a heck of a lot of gallons of water that leaked behind the wall. He also wanted to know what room was directly below the kitchen, to which I replied 'my husband's old office' (my husband just passed away in the fall). We went down to take a look, and as I opened the door, he looked up to the ceiling and noted that the water had indeed been dripping in in an area close to the outer wall (facing east) between the windows and the heat.air vent. I went out and purchased mold retardants etc. and sprayed that area of the ceiling, as well as underneath the kitchen sink.

Description of Work: I highly recommend these painters! They came on time, did excellent work, &cleaned up when finished. Also, we were comfortable having them in our home. They take pride in their work. They were very conscientious and careful when handling our "stuff". I will have them give me an estimate on painting the outside of our home in the spring. Excellent!

Description of Work: GGC performed some light drywall work and painting for one fo our restrooms. The timeliness, quality and professionalism of the crew were great. They worked around our schedule and got the project done without any delay. We will definitely be using them again.

James was very considerate and worked easily around our crazy schedule. He is one of the few contractors thaI I would absolutely call again for the next project.
