Jeff was meticulous in repairing the drywall and then painting every room in our house. His work was very high quality with attention to detail. He cleaned up after himself at the end of each workday and was very respectful of our house. He completed the job as promised and was very clear in his explanations for what he was doing and in response to any questions we had. The painting came out great, looks fantastic, and his skill/experience really shows in the end product. My wife and I are very satisfied with the results and would gladly hire Jeff again. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

+ 0 moreIt was fantastic! I have no other words to described it. He was prompt. One day he brought a helper and he did not charge me for the helpless time. They were polite, professional, and he was so knowledgeable. He knew exactly what he was doing.
Description of Work: He had to pull down a drop ceiling in my kitchen that had been installed. He rewired all my electrical so that he could put ceiling lights in and the central light for a fan. Then when that was finished he hung the drywall, and then he painted the ceiling.

+ -1 moreJeff is not your usual painter. He took on a horrible job (see below) with great attitude and did a far better job than I ever thought possible. He came recommended originally for drywall work, which I'm still planning to have done, but we decided to go with the exterior painting first while the weather is still good. Jeff was strongly recommended by a large, well-known electrical company who has worked with him to repair holes they had to cut in walls for wiring repairs. When workmen are recommended by other workmen who really know what's what and who's who, you know they're good. After seeing Jeff's amazing meticulous painting (see below), I can't wait to see his drywall work - which is going to be another difficult, out-of-the-ordinary job.
Description of Work: A fussy, miserable job painting trim and the undersides of overhangs with large beams every four feet. What's more, the last time the house was painted, they just sprayed with no prep so the peeling started again right away. Jeff took a whole different approach. First he scraped all the beams and trim with a carbide scraper to get as much old peeling paint off as possible. (He used drop cloths to catch the chips.) Then he scrubbed and cleaned everything thoroughly with mold-and-mildew suppressant so any existing mold wouldn't eventually grow through the paint. Then he painted it all with a special oil-based primer designed to penetrate the bare wood spots, condition the wood and stick tenaciously. (It's formulated so you can paint over it with latex exterior finish paint.) He did all the painting by hand, not spray, and amazingly never got any of the white trim paint on the dark blue siding. It was a monster job but Jeff was steadfast, cheerful, and surprisingly affordable!

For the recent project, Jeff was very prompt in assessing the work needed to be done, getting us a quote, and fitting us into his schedule. The quality of his work has been exceptional. When he sees an issue, he alerts us so that it can be remedied quickly. He takes great care in ensuring the work that he has done is not only what was asked for, but also improves upon what was existing. He let us know when he would be expected to arrive, and he followed the timelines that he originally quoted. He is also willing to make adjustments to schedules to meet our needs.
