 + -1 moreMy key was stuck in my lock and I called to ask about it. He would have come to fix it, but also suggested money saving option to take lock off door and bring it in for repair. When I took it in, the lock only needed lubrication - no repair, My only cost was a new key. On top of that, good advice on maintaining my other locks and options for future replacement of a different look. I really appreciated that he was willing to do it all for me OR let me do some myself to save money.

Description of Work: Mark (whom I heard about from a friend prior) was at my door on-time! He was professional, kindly and knows his work well. It THRILLED me to see him at my door because of a friend's previous dealing with him. I am not sure Mark works only for this locksmith provider and that is why I marked NO under "services performed by provider". If he does not work for them, they are lucky to have him.

Description of Work: I needed to get two deadbolt and two doorknob locks re-keyed. I came in with three of the locks I was able to remove and a picture of the fourth. From the picture they helped me figure out what kind of lock it was and how to take off. In less than an hour they reset all four locks and cut two sets of keys for the locks for about 50 dollars total.

 + -1 moreThe young man responded quickly and did the work well except for his not thinking on how to keep the work area clean. I laid drop cloths for him, but as he drilled, he kicked them aside (without looking). He left the mess without cleaning up, but the work on the lock was good.
Description of Work: He came at night quickly on emergency call to take out lock on bedroom door and replace it.

 + -1 moreTotal service failure. Called last week on June 27 to schedule an appointment and booked for Monday July 2nd at 10:00 AM. For some reason this person has a weird sense of humor and most of the time is not a pleasure to do business with. Every request is treated as a hassle with him and through the past had just humored him and got the job done thinking I was saving money. So in this incident when I called for confirmation I was not feeling 100% and didn't want to play his game and after being berated by him asked him if he wanted the job and he said a flat out, "no" and I hung up thinking what a jerk, but oh well. I then called his competitor and got it scheduled for 2:30 today and everything went as smooth as could be and on top of that the bill was over $100 less and the work showed much better craftsmanship. For the longest I thought I was getting a bargain for a little verbal abuse but was, in reality, getting robbed blind.
Description of Work: Once a tenant moves out or is evicted in my apartment building I have the locks re-keyed for security purposes. This company has been doing this for me foe the last 10 years and we knew each other prior to the owner going into business.
