Hank was prompt in returning my call for an estimate as well as being punctual for our initial appointment. He was thorough in inspecting the areas I wanted the new lights installed and made recommendations for the work based on current electrical codes and safety first. He has high integrity and I appreciate that since my home is older. The work was performed efficiently and seamlessly. Hank had to come up with a creative way to get from the exterior of the home to the fuse box in the basement without disturbing drywall or plaster. Not only did he achieve this, he made it look as if the lights were always there! I would HIGHLY recommend Hank and Blue Star Electric to anyone who needs a highly educated, experienced electrician!!

We live in a century house in West Cleveland. The lights went out in part of the house -- the side light, side entryway stairwell, kitchen entrance, front hallway, stairwell to 2nd floor, fixture and outlets in one BR, fixture in one BR, outlets in one BR, attic stairway, part of attic kneewall. Three highly-rated, personally recommended electricians came to look at the problem, removed various switchplates, put them back again, scratched away, and left. Hank came, spent all morning, couldn't figure it out, ran out of time, and didn't charge me. He came back the following week and nailed the problem (after some more investigation). We are so thrilled to have lights again after so many other electricians just gave up. And the total bill was really reasonable. He also installed an arc fault protector as a safety measure. Thanks, Hank!

Hank promptly provided a detailed proposal with a fixed price. He scheduled the work around my schedule and finished in one day. The quality of his work is A-1. He is an energetic and bright young man with an engineering degree in addition to his electrician's license. I plan to use him in the future and I've recommended him to two of my neighbors.

My experience with Blue Star Electric was very positive. Hank was very careful, thorough and professional. He was responsive to emails and phone calls. He was able to start work the next day after we agreed on his estimate. The tankless heater that he installed turned out to be defective (no fault of Blue Star or Hank) and I had to have a replacement shipped out to me. Hank came back to hook up the replacement unit at no additional charge!

Hank was awesome! He was so good we already used his services again a second time. He was very punctual, friendly and professional. He did excellent work installing ceiling fans/light fixtures. We had him come back to add multiple outlets to garage & basement . He called back on the same day, came to give an estimate within 1-2 days and did the work the following week. Very happy with Blue Star, we would def use Hank again:)

Hank came out in early June to give an estimate of the work needed. I knew I needed to bring my electrical service up to code and was having problems with the electrical in the basement after having paneling and ceiling removed. Hank was my third estimate, and his was not only under the others, but the scope of the work he proposed was more expansive. He explained what needed to be done in detail, to someone who knows nothing about electrical. He was not condescending to me and explained why things should be done. He left options open for me to add or to leave off services depending on how much I wanted to spend. He suggested checking with my city inspector to see if the proposed updates to my electrical service would bring things up to code.I accepted Hank's estimate and he arrived on time with an assistant. They worked the entire day on my service, stopping along the way to let me know how things were going. Hank is friendly and polite and he and his helper cleaned up all debris when completed. I could not be happier with the work he has done for me, and trust that it was done in a very professional manner. Would use Hank again in a heartbeat for any electrical work I might need done.

Hank did everything that could be expected. He exceeded my expectations. There were no surprises.

Hank was very punctual and returned e-mails and phone calls promptly. He referred me to a contractor who worked on drywalling and painting the kitchen ceiling and Hank coordinated his schedule with the other contractor's schedule to keep the project running smoothly. He gave good guidance on where to look for the type of fixture I wanted and he did an excellent job installing a fixture that turned out to be more complicated than he first anticipated. It could not have gone better. Hank was always on time, kept us informed of his progress as he completed the various steps of this project. He always made himself available on a short notice to work around the deck construction. Hank was courteous and professional at all times. We had to work around constantly changing weather conditions, but he still finished on time and on budget. When he was done his cleanup was also thorough. He replaced the sod that was moved exactly as it came up. He even picked up the mud clods in the driveway from walking in the mud. I would recommend Hank with Blue Star Elec. to anyone and everyone. I plan to use him again for projects planned in the future.

Answered my call immediately and spent time on the initial call asking what I needed and obtaining as much info. as possible. Right on time for estimate appt. and was very polite and professional and spoke to me in "plain English" about some complicated work. In addition, he provided me with a written estimate within a day.

Called, made appointment. Showed up a few minutes early, did the work promptly. Very satisfied.

When we got the new fixtures, I called Blue Star back, and Hank was able to schedule us the following week. He arrived absolutely on the dot and did a thorough, professional job. He replaced the ceiling fixture with the new semi-flush mounted fixture, then turned his attention to the chandelier that we had bought to replace the track lighting. He did a great job with a somewhat-tricky installation, even providing better screws from his own supplies to replace the inferior, too-small ones that had come with the chandelier. The dimmer switch we had had for several years had not worked well, so Hank replaced it. He also replaced the old switch to the ceiling fixture and removed an old outlet that was originally intended for an electric clock in our mid-1950s house. (This old outlet was on the soffit above the sink and was unsightly and got in the way of our battery-operated clock.) Hank removed the outlet and covered the space with a plate. He even provided a dry-wall bolt from his supplies and put our clock back. Hank wore booties over his shoes to keep things clean, and he did a fine job cleaning up when everything was finished. We were very impressed with Hank's professionalism, expertise, and personable demeanor. If we have future electrical projects, we will certainly use Blue Star, and we will happily recommend the company to anyone.

Hare Electric was supposed to arrive at 8:30 a.m. I made the appointment 2 days before - at 9:15 a.m when no one showed up I tried to call and got volcemail - at 9:45 I called again and called again at 10:15 - nobody ever called me back from Hare - at that point I called Blue Star - they answered their own phone, the gentlemen i spoke to gave me an estimae of what the repair would cost and told me he had a job at 10:30 a.m. but thought he could be at my house at 11:30 a.m. - he showed up at 11:25 a.m. - he was proficient and got right to work - he fixed my switch and explained what he was doing and why - my garbage disposal switch was working in no time. He was personable, professional and ON TimE - I would definately use this company again and appreciate him getting to me so fast with none of the hassle I had with Hare Electric (who was 2 miles from my home and never showed). Angie's list is great because you have options. I was happy with the service from Blue Star.

Hank and his co-worker did a fantastic job. They arrived on time, did most of the outside work first thing in very little time, and then proceeded with the inside work. There was some difficulty with replacing the outlet behind the stove and fridge because of how the house was built (the wall behind the fridge and stove had stairs to the attic behind it), but they figured everything out and made everything right. They cleaned up everything and updated a 60-yr-old house with the ultimate safety and assurance. These guys are excellent and will explain everything to you in terms you can understand (which is why we went with them, even when we had another slightly cheaper estimate from somewhere else). They identified one or two issues that even the house inspector missed. I have nothing but the highest praise for them! Thanks to Angie's List for referring them for our needed electrical work!

Hank arrived early. He was very personable and efficient. Things went very well.

It went beautifully. Henry responded promptly to every phone call and email. He answered all our questions fully and promptly. He arrived at &:00 am and was finished by mid afternoon. This was less time than we thought it would take. We were very pleased.

Hank arrived on time and started out by reviewing what needed to be done. He thoroughly explained what would required in order to install the light fixture. After we decided on the best location for the connection to an outlet, he made a list of what he needed to purchase. If I had it to do over again, I would have had Hank out for an estimate and to determine what hardware was needed. I could have saved some money by getting the supplies myself rather than having him go buy them on the clock. I'm new to this and don't know whether that can be done or not After returning from getting the hardware, he got right to work and worked steadily until the job was done. All in all, I was pleased with Hank's professionalism, concern for cleanliness and quality of work.
