Wev'e had estimates for updating our electric panel over the past 8 years but we didnt do any work until we got the right guy for the job. Hank came out and listened to our needs. Within a day or two we had an email with the estimate. We scheduled work and I went back and forth with hank with questions about some specifics for our house. I bought our own generator switch online and had it ready for install when the time came. Our basement is completely finished in the areas we needed the panel upgrade and wire runs. I had already opened up a few spots in the drywall for running my own network cables. Hank and his coworker came out and were here early, they got setup and working ASAP. We left for a good part of the day because it was boring without electricity and to give him room to work. They got all the work done that theywanted to finish that day and Hank came back the next day for a couple extra hours to switch around some things for us and to put in the kitchen outlet as requested (an add on to the original estimate). Hank was always professional and did great work. His price was very very competitive and he communicates very well. I especially appreciated him responding with emails. Multiple other electricians who came through for estimates hastily blurted out numbers and went on their merry way, their prices were way higher because they didnt take the time to listen to our specific requests or recommend ways to make the work simpler, as Hank did. I'd hire him again in a heart beat and I recommend him to anyone who asks.

We purchased an older home in 2012 and hired hank in 2013 to correct the electrical issues that we had not yet fixed. He was very professional and punctual. We did the work in stages so he was at our house several times. He cleaned up after he was done and was always pleasant. If we need every need an electrician again he will be the person we hire.

Hank arrived on-time and was very professional. He repaired two light switches, replaced my kitchen light fixture, and got my porch light working again for the first time in years. I thought the cost of service was very fair and plan to have him come back this spring to rewire my fuse and breaker boxes. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

He was shown my entire house as I showed him all electrical jobs. He was pleasant and provided advice. He said he would email me an estimate within a few days. Never received the estimate. Even checked my spam folder several times over a month. Concerns me that he would see my entire house, have my email and phone number; yet not contact me.

There are not enough good things you can say about Hank. Knowledgeable, professional, thorough, pleasant & conversational and an extremely good electrician. On time, on budget. After doing multiple jobs at our new home (built in the 60s and in need of updates all around...) we had a concern about a 'dimming' effect on the lights or power whenever a major appliance kicked on. Anywhere in the house - when the furnace kicked on, the lights dimmed; when I started the dryer, the lights dimmed. Told Hank - first reaction "sometimes happens in older homes." While he was there, he experienced it. Started tracing things - found a neutral wire at the pole on the street was not working. Could be dangerous. He advised us on how to handle w/First Energy. They came out immediately, fixed problem - no more problem. we had a switch to a light that wasn't working - he traced that to a box buried in insulation in the attic and repaired it. Likewise, had a light with no switch we could find, he traced that and repaired it - also in an odd location. He worked with our contractor on kitchen remodel - both were fabulous, but the end result was a cooperative effort with no problems. Efficient - didn't waste time. Adjusted bill for add-ons and deleted requests. Worked till the job was done, kept in touch re: scheduling, progress, completion. Would hire again in a heartbeat. Hank is the kind of tradesman you would be willing to put on retainer to keep him!!

I thought Blue Star was very professsional and provided great customer service. The quality of their work also met all expectations that we had. Their pricing seemed fair, although it was not cheap. Overall they are one of the better contractors we have worked with.

I had used Blue Star Electric a few weeks ago for a ceiling fan installation and the replacement of two outlets. I was very impressed with owner Hank Ludinsky that I decided to have him replace my circuit breaker. I had an old Federal Pacific circuit breaker, which had been condemned by safety forces for being faulty. In fact, if I decided to sell my home, I would be forced by the building inspector to replace it. Hank and one of his employees arrived right on time. By 8:30 AM they were busily at work. I was initially told that they probably wouldn't be done until 5:00 PM, so I was pleasantly surprised when they finished by 3:30 PM. Both said that everything went very smoothly. The circuit breaker was upgraded to 100 amp service. They also had to install a new conduit pipe on the outside of the house to meet code. Both worked diligently the entire time. If I had any questions, they took the time to answer them in detail. I can't praise their professionalism enough. Both gentlemen were extremely personable and had positive attitudes. It was obvious to me that they actually enjoyed their work and took pride in what they were doing. When they had finished, they cleaned up after themselves and left the premises in the exact condition as before they started. In my 35 years as a home owner, I have dealt with many electricians. Suffice to say, Blue Star is probably one of the best in Northeast Ohio. By the way, another bonus was getting a $100.00 discount using a Blue Star coupon, only available through Angie's List.

Hank, the owner of Blue Star Electric, was right on time to the very minute. He assessed the situation in the kitchen and got right to work. Within less than an hour, I had a new ceiling fan installed. He then went downstairs into the utility room to replace a nonworking outlet and to upgrade an existing one. During the entire process, he was extremely personable and professional.

Based on advice from Henry I decided to move in a different direction with my project.Henry's honesty and integrity were impressive and if I ever need an electrician I will certainly make Henry and Blue Star Electric LLC my first call.

Everything went very well. I had originally purchased an Angie's List Big deal coupon so some items were covered by that. As a result of a positive experience with Blue Star in May 2011, I decided to have additional work done at the rental property. I was very happy with all the work that was done and would definitely use Blue Star Electric again for any of my electrical needs in Lakewood.

Hank was prompt, professional, and extremely good at what he does. He came out to troubleshoot the cause of our faulty ventilation fan, which is over 40 years old. He found that the motor needed to be replaced and went above and beyond in locating a new motor that would work with the ancient fan. He was great at communicating throughout the entire process. We will definitely be using his electrical services in the future and highly recommend him.

He came out the same day I called for the appointment. He was right on time and did the job in about an hour. I was very happy with the results. He was very personable and just a nice guy.

Hank was a pleasure to work with! Came on a Saturday without charging me any extra due to being overbooked! Treated my home as if it were his own! Fixed two minor problems, diagnosed a third problem as not needing a repair and, when asked to inspect for other issues, discovered a code violation that might have held up the sale of the home. Nice guy who went out of his way to be helpful!

Hank is passionate about his trade and quality work ethic. We will hire him again to install a new light pole for our front yard. Great guy and very neat worker. We like Hank!

Hank was right on time, very friendly and professional, took the time to explain everything and went to extra effort to make sure the light fixture above our kitchen sink was securely installed. The only problem was that he was so busy that he could not come by for a couple of weeks after I called, but I would rather hire an electrician who is busy than one who people don't want to hire! I would definitely hire Blue Star Electric again. It was a great experience.

Hank was very responsive and completed a high quality job. He changed some lines so that there was equal amperage available for all the circuits ( my refrigerator was on the living room circuit (20amp) and the hallway lighting (3 recessed fixtures) were on there own 20amp circuit. My wine chiller and refrigerator are now on one circuit (20 amps- for a total of 10 amps) and the three fixtures are now on with the living room. He provided a high quality job and always provided input as he was proceeding. I highly recommend Hank.

Hank returned my phone call and offered to come over at the end of the day to just take a look and make sure it was the oven and not an electrical problem. He arrived about 5:30 pm at the end of his day and checked out fuse box ect. He is great-no charge!! He offered right away to come and take a look . Did I say no charge...We have used him on the past and already have another small job ready for him to do. Def call Blue star electric-you wont be disappointed!!!

We called Blue Star in August 2012 to put in a new electrical box, new entrance line, etc. He was over for about 2 hours going through the job and said he would get back to us in several days with a quote. Two weeks went by and we didn't hear anything. We called him and left a message saying that we were really impressed with him and wanted to get a quote for the job and possibly continue with electrical work. He never called us back. We would have liked him to call us back and tell us that he was not interested so we could continue looking for another electrician. Poor Communication.

Top notch work and service! I was under a time crunch and Blue Star came out for the estimate and got back to me within a very short timeframe. After I allowed Blue Star to do the job, Hank, the owner, called prior to arrival each day and showed up on time. He was in my home while I was at work and called prior to his departure each day, as well. He made sure to check with me for what colors and types of light switches and outlets I wanted and he explained things I didn't understand in layman's terms. He was thorough and cleaned up after himself. I think it's a testimony to Blue Star's work ethic that Hank offered to return on a Saturday to put in a light fixture I didn't have at the time the initial work was completed. It looks terrific! I would highly recommend Blue Star Electric to my friends or even acquaintances.

Called Hank for an estimate to place lights on the side of our garage to light our ice rink. He contacted us promptly to set up a time to give us an estimate. He stopped by and gave us some ideas for choosing lights and an estimate. Once we purchased the lights we wanted, I called him to set up an installation time. Hank arrived promptly and got right to work. We were very happy with the work performed and he even improved on his initial idea for the lights by making a switch just for the rink lights independent of the garage lights. I would definitely recommend him to others and will call him for future electrical needs.
