Marvin's Organic Gardens

We had originally purchased the $49 Landscaping Evaluation and Plan Design back in Feb 2015. We called them in June to set up a date for the work to be done in Aug 2015. They came out, pulled out the old trees and bushes, redefined the beds, planted then new lower maintenance plants, and even saved some of the landscaping we had done 2-3 years ago in front of house. They were punctual, hard working, and respected our property. We are very pleased with the results. It took years off the appearance of our home. Wes & Diantha and their crew were great to work with. We will hire them again to do other landscaping jobs for us.

Wes was unbelievable with is patience and concern to get this project just right for my mom.

They were very good. I was very satisfied. They were very easy to deal with and the workers are excellent. I wouldn't use them again because they charged me because I was outside their usual service area. They did everything I requested.

Wes was very helpful and professional. He answered all my questions and gave me a lot of useful information regarding my current plantings and suggestions for new plants.

I met with the owner of the company to pre plan.

Wes came out and drew up a plan to fill in our front and back landscaping. He placed colored flags that indicated which plants would go where. I thought that this was visually helpful. He suggested plants that would fill out and keep us from having to mulch so much every year. He used his ipad to show exactly what he was suggesting to be planted and went over it all with me. He said that they make their own compost also to go around the plants. We had them come out and plant the plants in the back, which went very well. We weren't even here. I had a couple of questions that I texted Wes about and he texted back right away. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. We were able to plant the plants in the front ourselves since there were just a few and with the flags there, it made it very easy. I would definitely recommend this company!

Wes was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. His ideas were for both time and cost saving measures were welcome. We are going to have Marvin's Garden's follow through on the several parts of the plan.

I think they are little pricey. The guy who came here was really knowledgeable and very professional. He planted nine plants and it costed $900. I don't know what other places would charge. I don't want to mislead anybody by saying they are over pricing if they are not. I probably may not use them as I have talked to other people in the business and I could get just about as good results and probably cheaper.

Wes was great, he took his time with me. Took a really good look at the yard, front & back. Then he started making suggestions about what could be done & he amazed me with ideas. Thank you Wes for your thoroughness and your great ideas. He gave me a written proposal of what could be done.

Wes's team did a fantastic job. We've been receiving compliments on our yard since they've completed the job.

Marvin's was able to fit us in relatively quickly during their busy season. Wes (contact rep) was knowledgeable and easy to work with.

I have multiple perennial gardens all around our 3 acre lot and have always done all of my own spring garden prep and mulch because I could never find a landscaper I felt comfortable with. I was encouraged to try Marvin's Organic Gardens after reading the positive reviews. Wes Duren came out and did an extensive walk-thru of my project. He knew all of my plants and gave me lots of choices and information. We have 3 dogs on the property, and I was pleased that the products used would all be safe for pets. Everything was discussed in detail and I felt comfortable that he has listened and knew exactly what I wanted done. The estimate was clear and gave me complete control over the project and how much I wanted to spend. Wes and his assistants arrived promptly on the scheduled day, and the 2 landscapers assigned to my project repeated the walk-thru with me. We reviewed everything in the level of detail I felt comfortable with. Because I had called late in the season, many of my perennials were substantially leafed out, and and a lot of the mulch had to be painstakingly hand thrown around the plants, and the weather was miserably humid. The landscapers put in 3 very long days, no complaints, and checked with me whenever they needed clarification. My yard and gardens look amazing. I am very pleased and will be sure to have them back in the fall and spring again. I recommend them highly, couldn't be happier with the way things turned out.

Wes from Marvin's Organic Gardens came out to our residence and, after listening to our feedback, provided a plan to landscape our front yard as well as the back of our property. We were very pleased with the proposal even though we ultimately did not move forward. I would not hesitate to contact Marvin's again for future service as Wes was very professional and passionate about his work.

The rep arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. However, the prices were a little higher than what I was thinking about. He did give me some good tips and general ideas for things I could do myself. I may hire them in the future.

The three brothers that came to do the work did a great job! They answered all of my questions about what they were doing. They went through the beds and got everything trimmed up and cleaned out all of the weeds and last year's foliage. I've never see my beds look so good! When they put the landscape fabric and stone down along the house, I asked them to extend the curves so that we could mow beside it more easily. They were happy to make changes to the areas I pointed out. It was nice that they happily did the extra work without making me feel like I was intruding on their efforts. They even came back the next day to add a little extra stone that they thought it required. And, they commented about how nice the job looked and they were glad they could come back and with another look, actually appreciate what they had done. To me, that said "I like what I do and I am proud of my hard work". I would have these guys back in a minute to do any work around the yard. They were fantastic!!!!

Wes and his crew at Marvin's Organic Gardens did a fantastic job with our landscaping. I initially made an appointment with Wes to do a landscaping evaluation at our house. We identified plants that were dying and Wes gave suggestions on appropriate replacement plantings. He is very knowledgeable and is more than willing to share advice and tips on landscape maintenance. We set an appointment for his crew to do the work that we agreed upon during the evaluation. Wes and his crew were prompt and they completed all of the work with quality and professionalism. They answered all questions we asked and did a thorough walk-through with us to review all of the work. I am very impressed with their work and will not hesitate to use them again in the future!

It was much better than I thought. I was very pleased with it. I like the fact that I basically did not have to do anything. I didn't have to supervise it. The guys that they brought seemed to know what to do and they just got it done. There was no goofing around. They worked hard, they got it done, and got going to the next job. The wind blew very hard and tipped over a little bit one of the trees they planted and they came right back out. They fixed it, put it back, and staked it. They had great punctuality. They followed up and did it. I already have plans to use them again.

There were problems between the neighbors and me in regard to the more natural look outside in my garden. He worked with everyone and was able to resolve conflict. He not only brings about peace in my garden, but in my neighborhood.

This was the first work done by Marvin's at my home. That said, the attitude of Wes the owner and his crew, is that they want to form a long-term relationship with clients. This translates into a job well done from start to finish. It begins with an on-site estimate. Wes and the crew returned a few weeks later to edge and mulch beds, prune bushes, and apply pre-emergence. Walk-around with the Foreman revealed a few little shortcomings that were dealt with promptly and professionally - until I was satisfied. The cost for the job was slightly less expensive than my previous landscape company. In addition to performing maintenance, Marvin's has the ability to design and install landscaping. A good thing to know for future projects.

Wes was a very energetic positive nice man. You could tell he really knew his stuff. The only issue is the price. We just needed our dry stack stone flower beds to be restacked. So we already had the stone. But the labor it self was almost $2000. We were not expecting that. We knew if would be hard work but not realizing it would cost that much. I would definitely consider them again if I can't find a better quote or better customer service.

We had a wonderful experience with MOG! Wes was very professional. He came out to give us an estimate on replacing lost landscaping and grass due to structural repairs performed on our house. Wes was very professional, attentive, and answered all of the questions we had. He spent well over the alloted time to design a landscaping project for us. Wes answered every question we had during the process and afterwards. Kyle and his crew did a fantastic job of performing the job, as well as keeping us in the loop on how the project was progressing. Wes kept in touch with us during the project and afterwards. You can tell that Wes and MOG are interested in building relationships with people. We were so impressed that we have already sought an estimate from Wes for another project!

The designer showed up right as scheduled. He walked the grounds with me to get ideas of what we were looking to do. He went back to his vehicle and drew out very detailed plans of his recommendations for landscaping. He came back after about 45 minutes to discuss the plans and go over his estimate. We did not wind up having them do the work but we did get some great ideas to do on our own. Their representative was very professional in providing the design and taking time to explain his vision to us.

Wes was fantastic. Very knowledgable and very passionate about what he does. He came to our house, spoke to us about what we are looking for, and then went to work coming up with a design/estimate for what we talked about. Unlike other companies we have had provide us designs, Wes actually hand-draws his. To be honest, I liked it more that it was hand-drawn rather than computer designed. To me, it just felt a little more professional. Wes also defintely took his time. He never seemed like he was in a rush, and even sat with us after he came up with the design and showed us pictures of every flower/plant he wanted to use so we knew exactly what it would look like.

The company was very punctual; however, the work was slowed by inclement weather.
