It went well. Very pleased.

The electrician initially came to assess the scope of the work. Parts not on hand (lighted switches) were ordered before the work could be performed. The installation proceeded smoothly. The electrician was at all times professional and courteous. The electrical connections have worked as planned and without problems. I subsequently used Siefer Electric for two small jobs early in 2011, which were completed with the same professionalism and courtesy, regardless of the scope of the work.

The other company I had previously contacted was going to charge me $ 648.34. However, this company charged me only $122.90. They charged me $40 for the box and $82.50 for the labor. They were totally reasonable. It was a huge difference. .I had assumed that their bill would be around $250. They didn’t have the box at their shop. So, they drove to another town and got the box to the work. They didn’t charge me anything for the travel. They just charged me for the box. I felt that was wonderful. I am not sure about their hourly rate for labor. As the guy did the work, I was talking to him. He gave some additional information that I, as a layman, can now apply when I do some work on own. Not only did he do the job well, he was very neat, clean, professional and very thorough. He was congenial and helpful. This company is a small one, owned by two brothers. The only trouble was that the guy, who did the work, was dressed in a baseball cap and work clothes. His hair was a little long. I think it will turn some people off, but he did do good work for a reasonable price. The guy was out to do the work within a day; I had called the company one afternoon and he was out the next morning. I will use this company again in the future.
