Description of Work: Invisible pet fencing was installed above ground first due to the time of year and weather, and then later installed in the ground permanently. My husband was having surgery, and we needed the fencing installed right away. Other pet fencing dealers told us no, could not do at that time of year due to the ground being frozen. Battery back-up and surge protector for the fencing were also installed at my request, due to worry about power outages, as we live on a hill, and get lightning strikes from time to time. Fence collars were put on both dogs and we got to choose which type of collar suited us, instead of having only one choice. Ours uses batteries that are less expensive and we can change out the batteries rather than having to keep purchasing very expensive collars when something goes wrong with them. Our neighbors all have different band of invisible fencing and all have had problems with their fencing and collars, We have had no problems with breaks in the fence line, or with the collars. Our collars are adjustable as to how powerful they are, and have 10 different settings. Our dobermen reacted at level 2 or 3, and were very easy to train to the collar. I later turned the collar levels up some more, as a safety precaution as we are on a historic bike route and get a lot of people riding bicycles past our home. Our dobermen want to run with the bikes. We routinely check the batteries in the collars as suggested by them. We recently added an above ground pool and built a deck on the back of our home, and are about to have them come back out and add another layer of fencing that I can turn on or off as needed around the pool. I want to be sure my dogs can't jump in off the deck when we are not out with them, or when the pool is covered for the winter. Our Australian Shepherd has already tried to leap off the deck onto the pool cover (she is just a puppy, still).
