Met with Rusty the lead tech who speced the job and added some suggestions and wrote a quote which fit the budget. He and I then settled on an Install date. He arrived with two techs and did exactly what we discussed. In the process they discovered a potentially hazardus rats nest of wires (this is an old house) and made suggestions to remedy which of course we agreed at a very modest change to the estimate. These folks in all ways were very knowledgeable, efficient and courteous in all respects. they also cleaned away their debris before they left the job. We have other work to be done and will definitely have them return and would reccommend Ott Electrical Services to my friends.

They were very professional, timely, and provided us with a folder with many helpful follow up resource materials. They even sent a handwritten thank-you note! Their materials are very thoroughly prepared and they did a good job. We would use them again.

Ott Electric fixed at no charge violations left by my previous electrician because their label is now on my service panel. Their job was completed when they said it would be completed, they were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up everything afterwards. I would highly recommend this company.

I contacted Ott and they were able to come out the next day. The technician was polite and efficient. He diagnosed the problem in short order, and began work quickly once I authorized the beginning of work. A second technician showed up while he was working on the job to assist him. The whole job was done in a few hours. When I had questions about whether or not various household devices could be operated on certain circuits in the house, he was able to knowledgeably answer those questions. The work passed inspection by the city without a hitch.

Adam from Ott Electrical was prompt and courteous. I appreciated that he put booties on his shoes without being asked which does not always happen with service calls. Adam had to move a 220 electrical line, cut a hole in the floor to the basement and in the wall behind our new stove and install an electrical box. Our new stove would not fit against the wall (four inch gap) as the electrical box was on the floor and stuck out too far. He performed the work expertly, cleaned up the mess in the basement and the kitchen and was a friendly, nice guy to boot. Ruth who answers the phone at Ott Electric is also a great asset to this business. We would definitely use Ott Electrical again without hesitation. It is wonderful to have work done in the home without problems.

I admired the tenacity of the technician, finding old wiring in a century home was not easy; crawling through an attic full of insulation, stored walnuts (former owners had critters in attic) and unique double exterior wall construction. He never gave up, and completed the job to perfection.

He immediately climbed up and looked it over, and got a crew out there. They were able to do the outside work that same day. Then they returned about 2 and a half weeks later to do the inside work we had originally got the estimate for. They were very prompt and were able to do both jobs in 1 day. They also cleaned up very well after themselves. The price seemed to be pretty reasonable and competitive. We have a sense of safety going into the future as well as we have a 10 year warranty with them.

This company was the only one that could come today to do this emergency repair. It might not have been a matter of life or death but it was just horrible to live with night and day. They may have saved my sanity. The service rep assured me that someone could come today (I tried at least 6 other places) and she would give me a call when she knew when he would be here. She called about an hour later and said a technician would be here in about 10 minutes, and he was. Rusty was very professional and told me that it could be a different alarm unit that was malfunctioning and I would be best off replacing all 6. Since I couldn't afford that, I gambled that only the one unit was at fault. After he replaced it, took the old one to his truck to dispose of, and brought in my bill, he told me that it beeped on the way to his truck! With no battery in it. I am pretty sure replacing that one will fix my problem. Recommend them highly.

Very impressed with this company from the very beginning. The receptionist was delightful. The two gentlemen that came to do the work were kind and professional. I will be using them in the future, as we are remodeling our home. I will also be happy to recommend them to my friends. The work was done quickly and was very affordable. It went very well. I had already purchased white plastic channels, plastic outlet boxes and plugs. The installers convinced me that what I had would not meet code and they couul not use it. I, reluctantly agreed to let them install the equipment that meeted code even though what I bought looked better.

Competative quote, top quality work, clean and neat work and cleanup. Finished entire project in one day. They had 4 people working on it at one point. Did not cut any corners.

I called to get an estimate on landscape lighting. Rusty came out, talked with us at length about what we wanted and his suggestions based on experience. We were very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. He gave us an estimate. We received another estimate from another company for basically the same work, but the second estimate was much higher in price. Based on these estimates, we decided that we could not afford to do the landscape lighting this year. However, we still needed to repair our outside pole light, as it had stopped working and our porch light has never given off much light since we moved in. I called Rusty and spoke with him about the repair of the pole light and asked his suggestions regarding the porch light. We had assumed we would need to replace the entire porch light fixture. Rusty suggested they could repair the pole light and they could put a type of conversion kit into the porch light ceiling pixture to give more light. We also talked about a timer for the porch light to turn it on in the evening and off at bedtime. Rusty gave us a reasonable estimate for both repairs and the timer switch. We scheduled a date for the repairs. Rusty came today as scheduled and on time and did the repairs in a very professional manner. It was raining and he still did all the outdoor work. Even though it was raining and messy around the pole light, he did not create any mess inside the house when he came in to operate the circuit breaker box, he wore shoe protectors each time he came into the house. He not only made the repairs, he went above and beyond the call of duty and also found that the outlet plug on the pole light (where we plug our outdoor Christmas lights in) was improperly wired and fixed that. He mentioned that the outlet on the pole was an indoor type and not an outdoor type as it should have been so I asked if he could replace it with the proper type of outlet. He said he did have them on his truck and replaced it as well. He was very professional from start to finish! The total cost was slightly above his original estimate, but he did do more than he originally quoted. Our porch light now is significantly brighter. We are very pleased with the work; I feel we got more than our money's worth and we would hire them again!

The electric was out in half the house during the Fourth of July weekend. He came out on Sunday and got us up and running that day. But, came back to complete the job. We thought this was very nice and professional that he would come out on a Sunday.

Initially I tried to install a rail light fixture where a canned light was in the kitchen. I was not successful and called Joe Ott. He said he would have a technician stop by later in the day and have a look. Rusty and his assistant stopped by later and looked the situation over. Rusty suggested that instead of installing the rail light we install three can lights. We agreed. I was surprised that they would complete the work the same day we called. We are pleased with the result and will use them in the future.

Looked over the project to determine what needed to be done and how to go about the task. Explained everyting that needed to be done and why. \Worked together as a team. Project was completed promptly and efficiently. Cleaned up the work area

This was a very good experience. While he was here I asked Joe for estimates on a few other jobs that we will eventually need to have done, but explained that at this time we would be able to do just the one ceiling fan. He gave me an estimate for fixing the chain on the ceiling fan (which was fairly low), and also gave me a higher estimate for replacing a switch on a different ceiling fan which was not a high priority for us, and which we are postponing. On discovering that the problem with fan #1 was also a broken switch, he told me that since he had quoted me the lower price on that initially, that was the price he was going to do it for. I found Joe to be very polite, businesslike, and professional. We had gotten estimates on some of these same jobs from a different company, and Ott's rates are definitely lower. I also found Ott's responsiveness wonderful; Joe came out within a few days.

When my air conditioning failed, the service man told me that my breaker box had moisture in it and had shorted out the current to the conditioning unit. I called OTT on the next business day to make an appointment during that same week. They arrived on time, calling beforehand to confirm. The work was done in good time; Joe and his assistant were pleasant, courteous and very helpful, explaining everything as they went. I certainly would hire them in the future.

They were professional on the phone when making the arrangements. The technician was on time. I showed him the problem outlets. He investigated the problem and them informed me of the cost. I agreed to the work necessary to get the outlets in working condition. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to a friend.

They installed front and back doorbells. They were very good, professional.

Excellent service. Electrician came out same day that I notified them of getting a quote( on a Saturday, none the less). I had many small jobs and the electrician came out and asked to look at the entire laundry list before going on the clock to do some of the small jobs. Before leaving, he gave me a detailed written quote of the rest of the list and told me how to save money on getting the work done. What I liked most was that he only suggested the correct and safe way to get the job done versus cutting corners just to save money.
